Benefits?!

So my husband is leaving the army in July so we are just looking at our options. I've found a job for 25 hours a week (around £275-300 a week) and my husband has found full time but childcare is so expensive it makes sense for him to stay at home and look after our daughter. She is 1 and full time childcare is £1400 a month, if he works part time (16 hours) then we would only need to send her 3 mornings a week which is about £500 a month.

We have bought a shared ownership house which is around £400 a month mortgage and £400 a month rent plus £80 ground fees a month.

I put all these details into 'entitledto.com' and it said we would be entitled to £500 a week? Surely that can't be right?!

Someone help before I go insane!!

I don't know if that is correct or not but if you want to double check, try calling Turn2Us (a benefit helpline that can help you find out what you are entitled to over the phone) on 0808 802 2000, 9.00 am - 5.30 pm Mondays-Fridays (except bank holidays).

@sleepismysuperpower1 thank you so much. It's wrong but at least you didn't rip into me like people did on other threads

Hey I’m new here! Really unsure if I’m even writing in the correct bit.

I live in scotland and im @currently pregnant - 12 weeks tomorrowSmile however I am not working at the moment and had just finished college before I fell pregnant. I have looked on gov.uk etc to see if I’m entitled to any help with benifits etc but because my partner works full time I don’t get any help even though I have absolutely nothing and neither does he after all the bills have came out. I can’t even work at the moment my sickness is such an issueSad.
