Wreck Sorry about DS, I can understand why you feel as you.
Girlie Well done on the teaching!
My DPs often get rats in their garden because they put out leftovers for the birds. They have loads of bird visitors that have been coming for years and years now, whole families of wood pigeons, magpies, lots of smaller birdies too but I don't know anything about bird breeds. Never had any of them in the house though. Seen a fair few in broad daylight in the summer months in past years, I think thirst drives them out sometimes when it's been hot and dry for ages because my DPs keep water out in old pans and stuff for the birds too in the summer months.
Girlie They might not care about it and go for the day off but while they are there, that might change their perspective and give them a really useful life experience that might spark their interest in activism, iyswim. There's nothing like a demo as a child to do that I think. I remember my first demo clearly and it had a big impact on me, I was about 12 I think, DPs went and took all of us with them.
DD in full-on tantrum mode this morning. She got up at 7 and I think I had counted 5 by 8.15...sigh. She is starting to understand a lot of what I'm saying which is really cool but also means nappy change tantrums start when I say "I'm going to change your nappy now" before I've even picked her up etc...but everyone/my reading tells me to tell them what you are going to do etc. Can't take her to messy play because therapist is coming at the exact time it starts. Have vague plan to take her to this big play centre that I won't name in case it's even more outing than all the other things I post
and meet up with a couple of friends there, but not sure if we will make it in time once I've given her lunch and also feel super anxious about it as she keeps tantrumming all the time, she will be the only non-walker and we've not been to this place before and it's ££ and will take me like an hour to get to via bus and walking so it will be horrible if she acts up. Also have not got the bus with her alone since the spring so anxious about that too. I find it really stressful and hard getting the buggy off the bus and it's v rare that anyone offers to help me even when I'm clearly struggling.
Been the shops already this morning and spent about £19 on groceries. Tbh most of it was snacks for DD!
