Good lord, the work in those!! Shock They are all stunning but that third one is my favourite.

You are inspiring me to get my machine out and finish the quilted advent calendar I started for ds several (ahem) years ago. But I won’t have any free weekend time till the end of the month - I might have to book the time in with DH!

I have knitted c 25 Christmas baubles now though. At the beginning of the year I was hoping to make one per week but I don’t think I’ll quite make it!

MeadowHay · 07/09/2019 11:11

Seacow I had pelvic floor physio as well, I don't have a prolapse but a weak pelvic floor from DD's delivery (instrumental) and had some mild related symptoms. I only had two sessions in the end as I only had very mild symptoms and after a regime of the exercises for 2 months they almost completely resolved - and understandably most the patients the physio sees are having much more problems than me. But definitely worth a try if you have any symptoms. Actually I have fallen off the bandwagon with my exercises recently with complacency as I seem not to have symptoms anymore, I need to get back into them.

Today may or may not be NSD, depends what we do later. DD had her first Water Babies session of this term earlier, she really enjoyed it which was nice to watch. A girl in her class starts DD's nursery on Monday.

I think I will park worrying about potential DC2 for now and revisit next spring/summer when DH has a job. My gut is that now is just too soon, and we will be more secure financially then and also it would be good to take SPL especially as I would get 6 months full pay now for mat pay as long as I return after 6 months - which would be ok if DH could then take 3-6 months SPL after I go back.

Anyone got recommendations for a good savings account for DD?

SnugglySnerd · 07/09/2019 12:11

Amazing quilts! I love them! I cannot see for toffee but have a Pinterest page of quilting just because I like looking at the pictures.

I feel a bit better that others would have shouted. I think I felt like I lost my temper a bit quickly. She's a good girl and doesn't get into trouble often so it really upset her.

£31 butchers and top up shop. Mainly fruit and some milk.

SnugglySnerd · 07/09/2019 12:12

*sew obviously. I can see!

WreckTangled · 07/09/2019 12:21

I can't even sew a button on.

Look at our sunflowers! At the bottom of the picture is DD's head and she is 4ft5 Grin

Quilts are ace

Wolfcub · 07/09/2019 12:55

Those quilts are beautiful. The first is my favourite

Dorsetcamping · 07/09/2019 13:36

My silly Labrador managed to rip her dew claw this morning, I have never heard noise like it.
Had to make emergency vet appt but luckily not classed as out of hours so £36 charge. They were talking about sedating at one point as she wouldn't let them look at it but luckily they managed to clip it so managed to avoid hefty bill!

Girliefriendlikescake · 07/09/2019 13:46

Beautiful quilts 😍 I'd love to be able to sew or knit.

We've been down to the vets as well, puppy had his claws trimmed and got him some worming meds £15.

Also spent £20 in pets at home but got loads for that, I used some vouchers and got a free bag of puppy food as well.

Going out tonight for a friends bday drinks 🍸

GingerOClock · 07/09/2019 15:12

£14.24 top up shop at Lidl. Roast dinner bits for tomorrow, packed lunch bits, washing powder.
£15 diesel
£26 on new PE trainers for DS1. More than I was hoping to spend but he is starting secondary and important to him to have the 'right brand' Hmm

We've been to the library and all got new books to get stuck into.

That will be it for today as we are now home. I've just made some sausage rolls, a loaf cake and will start the stew for tonight.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend Smile

Girliefriendlikescake · 07/09/2019 16:11

£43 in Aldi, my food bill this month has been nuts but I think it probably balances out as the previous month it was low.

Going to a dog show tomorrow with our puppy, hoping it won't be too expensive but fear it may be!!

mogloveseggs · 07/09/2019 17:16

little Flowers
wolf yup it's 3 mobiles in one had to add another phone as dds was out of action (long story) and it was the only way to afford another one for her at the time. Dhs contract is now up so it will drop by £30.
christmas is Ocado worth it? I've never used it but others on our estate do. The first time offers seem to be good-wondering whether to do a Stock up with last wage next week.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/09/2019 17:23

Got a refund of £53 from school wear shop. £105 on food thus far and another ,£100 coming later from Sainsbury's but I can't remember what time.

Lovemaltesers · 07/09/2019 18:33

Spendy day on bits and pieces
£22.30 M&S
£15 primary
£3 Sainsbury’s
£1 card shop (10 birthdays cards. We normally spend that at least on one card)
£15.99 kfc Blush

Went to visit my mum and dad. Dad was in quite good form, hearing aids seem to be working (for once!). He was insistent to my mum that my brother was there this morning, not my DP though. But he’s said that the last few times he’s seem DP. I think he associates a 40 something male with me as my brother.

DD2 starts school on Tuesday. We feel like that we’ve only just survived this school week but that was because of complicated childcare. Next week it all gets simpler 🤞

meadow I think whatever gap you choose will work for your family. The paternity leave would help a lot. If you wait a while, there won’t be double nursery fees which would be extortionate until the 30 hours funding kicks in and might prevent it being worthwhile working

seacow you need to look after yourself too. You look after everyone else. Make that appointment.

em you have lovely colleagues

Sorry I am so rubbish at remembering what I read too. But Flowers to little

My cheekywipes period pants turned up. They look like normal pants. I guess I was expecting more padding?! A bit dubious but will try them out

Dorsetcamping · 07/09/2019 18:39

@Lovemaltesers DD's cheeky wipes period pants also arrived this week. I agree, was expecting more padding Confused
Compared to the Modibod ones she had (and lost!) they don't seem as good quality

Lovemaltesers · 07/09/2019 19:02

I live in the county you like camping in dorset. I’m not so keen on the camping though Grin

GingerOClock · 07/09/2019 19:43

I need to get some stationary bits tomorrow, any ideas where will be cheapest?! I'm thinking maybe Homesense?

WreckTangled · 07/09/2019 19:48

What are you looking for ginger? My homesense didn't have any stationery bits in that I saw

GingerOClock · 07/09/2019 19:54

Scientific calculator, lever arch file, notebook and pens! Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong shop!

WreckTangled · 07/09/2019 19:54

I think Wilkos or The Range would be a good bet

GingerOClock · 07/09/2019 20:00

WreckTangled - yes, wilkos! I always forget we have one near by, thank you Smile

SnugglySnerd · 07/09/2019 20:08

Great sunflowers Wreck!

WreckTangled · 07/09/2019 20:11

I love Wilkos!

ememem84 · 07/09/2019 20:16

£32 riding. Back on my usual pony today and managed to get a Canter out of her. So either she’s been worked hard or I’m a lot fitter than I thought! (Probably the first one!)

Took a walk round the lanes this afternoon as when I got back from the stables ds was bouncing off the walls. Ended up at fils 🙄

The bloody bloody stupid dog charged at ds the minute we arrived. Dh couldn’t get to him quick enough. Ds frightened sat on my lap. Then I had to pop ds on the couch while Dd needed feeding. Dog jumped up at her too. I have it a swift kick. and felt bad for doing that but it needed to get out of the way and no one else was bothered to move it dh was helping Fil with something in the garden so hands full

The gf is now mad at me for hurting her baby. For clarity I say swift kick. It was more of a move dog quickly out of the way with foot.

Ds has also squeezed almost an entire tube of metanium on his bedroom carpet. His cream carpet. Ffs.

In other news Dm is not well. She has a funny tummy feels shivery etc and fainted while on the loo this morning. Ddad Called dr. DM is dehydrated stressed and has a bit of a virus. Poor mummykins!!

Baked Camembert for dinner.

ememem84 · 07/09/2019 20:39

Ds also found the “cheese” in the bath. He kept saying cheese. And pointing. Took me a while to get that he meant the bar of soap.
