Anyone use Revolut?

Hi all, someone at work recommended this to me as a nice way of keeping track of money spending and saving too- I reeeeally need to take control back of my spending habits but need something that gives me the info rather than hunting for it!

I've also looked at Cleo but I'm a bit worried about giving the app my existing bank details- is Revolut like a totally new account?

I use Revolut.

Mainly to exchange currency but it does breakdown your spending for you. When it's good it's very very good. But if there ever is an issue their customer service is appalling and it cannot be your primary card.

Thanks onefoot.

I'm sure there are other similar ones - is monza one? Will ask mr.google :)

The really good thing is that if anyone clones your card you know instantly.
If your card is stolen or lost you can cancel it instantly.

I use it but mostly for currency exchange as I'm back and forth between U.K. and Europe. Not had a problem with it to date.

This month I've decided to transfer my "non essential" budget to it so I can clearly see what I'm spending.

I use Monzo which I find really good. If you want a link to sign up we both get £5 Smile

Monzo

I have Monzo, though generally use it only for getting cash out abroad.

Best thing about for me was discovering you can check your PIN on it (once in with fingerprint!). I don’t need to use it generally & had forgotten it when on holiday Confused

torthecatlady · 26/05/2019 14:19

I haven't used it abroad yet, but I love that you can make little savings pots on there. The visual really helps me to save my money!

I've been using Revolut for a few years now and no complaints yet. Instant payment notifications on the app and great exchange rates. You can also get £10 account credit when you sign up using my code revolut.com/referral/gemma2t0!G10D21

Curve is good. It allows you to add multiple cards to your account and choose which one you want to pay with at any time. It will also break down your spending in to different sectors so you can see where your money is spent.

AndroidSheep · 07/09/2019 13:30

Bit late, but I love Monzo.

Its really helped me, because I can set up pots. I now have pots for all the irregular bills (car service, car tax, boiler services, hair cuts etc) that I pay a regular amount into each month. It's a revolution to me to have that money clearly labelled, building up all year then ready to use when the bill is due.

Feel free to use my Revolut referral code. It will get you a free card. Great for using on holiday.
