I have applied for tax credits through universal credit and I have to attend an interview. Both em and my partner both work 40 hour week shifts. Has anyone else been I'm. This boat, what happens?

Is it for the ID interview or work commitments interview?

I just had to go to confirm ID and that I work. I didn't need to go back after that.

It just says online that I have to arrange an interview and to phone this number. I tried today and obviously they are closed for Bank Holiday. I am hoping we will be in and out. Obviously we will go to the interview but I am hoping it won't take long.

The initial interview is an ID check. It shouldn't take long. You may then have to attend again, depending on your circumstances.

Note that you're not applying for tax credits, they no longer exist for new claimants. It is all universal credit now.

If you're working, it should just be for ID. Make sure you have ready and bring all the documents they request. I.e payslips, bank statements, tenancy agreement. If you have all that ready it should be quite straight forward. You should have a list of what they require.
