How much did you get on SMP after tax?

Hi just trying to budget x

I received refunds so was getting more than the SMP amount.

When do you go on leave?
How much will you have earned so far this year before SMP starts? and How much tax will you have paid? These are all variables which will decide for you.

I’ve been getting more than I thought the last couple of months as like pp ive been getting refunds as it’s towards the end of the tax year. When will your mat leave be starting? My work gave me a printout of what I could expect to get each month, hopefully your employer will do the same? The lowest figure on mine is around £570 ish from memory.

When did you guys start your maternity?x

I saved up annual leave so I finished at 37 weeks but my mat leave didn’t kick in until my due date. I really enjoyed having a few weeks to myself to wind down and rest and get a few last minute things finished before baby arrives. Your life is about to change massively so it’s important to look after yourself too.
