Charged daily overdraft fee over my arranges overdraft?

I’m with halifax and they’ve charged me a daily overdraft fee when I’ve used all my overdraft? But in the T&C’s it says I won’t be charged any fees when I’ve used the overdraft limit? What will happen now?

There are new charges coming in but they don't start until February 2019. Are you overt your overdraft limit? What have you been charged?

Over*

Yes I’m over by £2 something, I’ve been charged a daily overdraft fee.

Do you have a fee free overdraft? They do charge a daily fee from what I can see online

Chocolategirl79 · 22/12/2018 15:37

Have you gone over your arranged overdraft? In which case, yes you will get charged.

If you have and it's the first time you can ring them and plead and they often let you off on the first occasion but you can only get away with it once!!

They’ve only taken like £1 something out of my account though and have not charged anymore?

Put a fiver (or at least £3.something!) into the account and it'll stop charging you.

You've gone past your arranged limit, so they charge you. That's how it works.

Well I’ve just applied for a halifax balance transfer credit card which you don’t get charged interest for 18 months so I should get it paid off by then
