What apps do you use to record spending?

Hi, what apps do you use to track your spending? Hoping this will help curb my spending. Any other suggestions are welcome

I use Yolt and it's helped me massively

YNAB.
LOVE it.

I second YNAB. It is brilliant, it's completely changed my financial habits and I've gone from overspending every month to putting some ones into savings every month and I usually have money left over each month (not much but even £30 if a vast improvement on going over budget!)

Am I missing something? When I downloaded this it said it was 75 a year to use

I got a three month free trial and I'd saved about £300 over those three months so I bought the app and now a save a little each month to pay for it annually.

Yes, if you google you can get a 3 month free trial. I pay for it now, which I know sound loony, but it's worth it.
If you are trying to do the impossible and make ends meet on UC it's not going to magic money out of thin air, but otherwise it really does help a lot.

Daily Budget. It's fab and so easy to use. You put all your outgoings in works out how much you have left and gives you a daily spend amount.
It really works and it's free (you can buy some additional spending categories but I manage just fine with the free ones)

If you have a HSBC account they have a new connected app which is brilliant. Also let's you link other accounts (non hsbc) to get a full picture of spending.

I use Yolt and if has completely allowed me to manage my money so much better. I was right on budget last month, for the first time ever!

head I do have HSBC, but what is their budgeting app called? I can't seem to find it. Maybe I've misunderstood.

I use YNAB and agree, it's worth the subscription for me to feel ordered and in control. I was always very head-in-sand about money, to the point where I'd be afraid to check my bank account. Not any more, I'm completely on it, save every month, plan ahead for upcoming expenses - in short, it's changed my financial life. Kudos to those who can do this off their own bat, but it's worth every penny to me.

Ynab has definitely revolutionised how I see money, it has helped me to get my cc debt under control and to plan for future expenses. It's worth the €50 approx per year to me

@peachypetite it's life changing, my account has never gone overdrawn since I started using it and I've not been charged a late payment fee since either.

I can pull up the information on what I spent on x,y or z at the click of a button and I can input recurring transactions and goals so that I'm prepared for future expenses

Oh thanks head! Sadly I'm on Android so will have to wait a bit for that HSBC one. I never got on with YNAB. But I used an app called Financisto religiously to track every penny (including different currencies) while on maternity leave. It's a bit fiddly though and the repeating transactions don't work that well, so I'm looking for a more user-friendly and streamlined one.

Another vote for YNAB. It has transformed our financial life.

YNAB really is worth it. I save for all sorts of things now. I've just set up a savings goal to get a winter coat next year. Previously I'd have thought about it but then forgotten and by the time next winter comes around I'd have no spare money to pay for it.
It's really good for keeping track of saving for lots of different things. Ive got a savings account attached to my current account with £400 in it and YNAB means i know how much is saved for each of my 9 savings categories.
