Proper catch up today, slack day at work

em hope you got your wifi sorted and that fil is helping without being overbearing.

How did PT session go? Will you carry on with the workouts now that you're finished with PT or ask for more sessions for Christmas? Wink
The bootcamp I used to go to is doing a two week special in December, I'm going to go for it Grin
I love bagels too and have one or a half one almost every day with my poached eggs, they're a lot more filling than pitta bread and they're higher in protein than most breads too which is a magic bonus Grin
em dh's reading ability GrinGrinGrin H insists on reading dc stories with no glasses on, then he can't see the words properly and makes stuff up, doesn't work anymore now that they can both read Grin

curlsandcurves I usually save all year round for Christmas but this year with Separation and everything being mixed up I didn't, but I'm buying for fewer people too so it's ok I think. Will go back to saving year round again in January. I will have a good idea what it costs me then too.

born hope your back rights itself

life you say things the best way possible sometimes You are the opposite of everything the irrational side of your brain says I thought this was just perfect.
Hope your dc are feeling better more especially one with UTI, no one sees this pain Sad

curvy sorry to hear about your job but great to see you so positive about looking for something new. Best of luck with it.

snuggly I've forgotten yogurt on occasion too and mine are dairy fiends Grin I've stopped drying outside at the moment. Hate using dryer though. It's a sensor one though so at least it stops when they're dry, that's the theory anyhow, I've never hung around in the shed long enough to find out Grin

I'm totally in the camp of us being real friends here not just internet friends as seacow mentioned I know some of your first names and some of you know mine too. You guys were a great support to me in my separation, and I hope we can all be a great support to cag too. Glad you got looked after so well at the GP's, great that he looked at the overall picture.

autumn did exam result come?
When did ds move to his own room, he's 8 same as dd I think?
sea they're devils for doing that aren't they? Acting up when we're under pressure anyhow.
I think I'm more pleased about tin as it was a surprise, the rebate is an old surprise now as I know for a little while now that I'd probably get it but I was expecting it to be a lot less that it is.

This is my plan for it
€2000
€800 for day trip to Birmingham shopping - won't spend all that and remainder will be fun money for December including my night of food & fun at mine
€500 big credit card as this is the payment needed to clear it in interest free period (have €200 saved for this already but will divert that to second card which has a balance remaining just under €1200)
€100 possible Pressure King
€600 savings - I know I've cc debt but I want to build some savings too. I'll have cash gifts at Christmas and they can go against cc debt too.

wolf I'm thinking of getting myself the pressure king for myself out of the rebate in black friday sales Grin What size do you have? It's often just me for dinner now but I'd like to be able to cook for up to 6/8 people too

meadow things are getting better for you and dd, I'm delighted to hear it [happy]

lonely that's fantastic about your haul Grin from sainsburys and better still that it's all free Grin

jam I reckon if doctors could prescribe sleep, in a bottle or something, then there would be a lot less illness in the work. It's power is incredible. this is excellent, totally something I agree with. I've been sleeping better since H moved out and my health has improved. Dsis has started taking some melatonin and has slept 8 hours a night since she started and is feeling more herself now too.

girlie you reminded me to put cleaning out hen house on my jobs list for Sat morn - needs to be done in daylight as they're out of the house then and there's no daylight hours these days that I'm not at work

fluffy I handwash all my pans as they're tefal and I want them to stay lovely Blush Need to hunt out my receipt actually because the detachable handles with 10/25 year guarantee are failing.

SneakyGremlins · 14/11/2018 13:02

Spendy day today Sad

ChristmasSeacow · 14/11/2018 13:18

Meant to say hi to Meadow before, and so glad you are finding things easier and more enjoyable. It really makes a difference once they get a bit more fun and expressive and you can figure out what they want at least until they get too expressive about what they want!

A frugaleers’ meet up would be fascinating. I bet we’d all be a bit of a surprise IRL. Except maybe Jam. Apart from hair length I’m pretty sure I know exactly what she’d be like, tattoos and all WinkGrin

I am sitting working in my local library with my new turtle dove fingerless gloves on. Defo worth the money, I love them! Here’s an action shot... Grin

I thought Creme had said she’s be going quiet for a bit, or did I imagine it? Hope she’s okay and pops back soon. And Wreck

SneakyGremlins · 14/11/2018 13:20

Read back a bit - I'm near Stockport!

ChristmasSeacow · 14/11/2018 13:29

Mammoth catch up Mammy Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2018 13:44

I’m sure Creme Will be back when she’s ready.

Nsd & I washed my jammies on the silk cycle. They look ok. Hopefully they still fit tonight.

Sneaky Did the bank help you out?.

SneakyGremlins · 14/11/2018 13:54

With what? Bad memory here Blush

£29.96 in Aldi today (Essential food Smile)

£12.something council tax

£24 electric for the next fortnight

£20 phone top-up

£10 Game

£50 saved for a few days time - Primark!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 14:09

Our canteen was packed with superiors at lunchtime and I would've been on my own so I went to the shop for lunch instead - my bagel was in kitchen and filling in my lunchbag, if I'd both with me I would've eaten at my desk. Today's lunch will hold for tomorrow though.

I bought a 40g pack of smoked salmon & a fill it yourself tub of salad - €5 and had my easy peeler and apple when I got back to work, I'm stuffed now.

I know what cag and life look like IRL Wink

creme did say that seacow
I used to wear fingerless gloves here when the lady person I've replaced was in charge as the heating was rarely turned on, luckily the chief whip here is a cold creature so that's no longer an issue except the last long weekend when she turned off my radiatior completely Angry

Friend I'm walking with tonight has suggested a coffee out too so that'll be another little unplanned spend but worth it as I don't see her often enough.

AutumnLeaves12 · 14/11/2018 14:30

Just 4 days sleeping out so far mammy and one whole month last year. I'm stockpiling sleep just in case this is a temporary move again. Smile

My dm says moisturiser doesn't agree with her either. People are weirdly complicated. She says she's been pondering this for years and there just one kind that works and it's a 50+ suntan lotion, so I've to go and buy some of that. Glad I asked them. LOL!

Wolfcub · 14/11/2018 14:30

I haven’t caught up with the whole days events but just wanted to answer @MammynowanauntyIRL ‘s question.

The Instant pot is 5.5 litres. I think you are not suppose to fill them beyond 2/3 full.

I can comfortably cook for two with leftovers for at least one further meal for two without even getting halfway up the pot. I think it would comfortably do six. 8 might be more of a push if they had a big appetite. But you could do curry for eight and sides on the stove.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2018 14:40

When they let you go overdrawn because of sky Sneaky

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/11/2018 14:43

I have to hand wash everything as well 😭 I miss my dishwasher so much!!

Just sat down, feeling a bit worn out now 😧

Spends;

£11 3 pairs of tights for dd

£18 on 3 pairs of tights for me, these are going out tights so nice sparkly ones!
£6 poundstretchers on bits.

£30 petrol

£38 aldi, have started to stock up for my party and also got a gift for dd.

SneakyGremlins · 14/11/2018 14:44

Oh! Yeah, they've added a control to my account and gave me a refund for my troubles Smile

Bornlazy · 14/11/2018 15:04

Haven’t taken any painkillers today as feeling a bit bleugh. Can’t work out if it’s from the ibuprofen giving me gastritis or the Diydocideine making me constipated (tmi I know Blush) but either way I feel sick 🤢. As a result I have not done much as I don’t want to aggravate the pain. I will definitely need to look at something like Pilates Girlie to strengthen my back once I’m over the worst of this as I can imagine it happening again 😩

House is sliding into slum like territory although to be fair to dh he is trying his best. I managed to change my bed with help but the duvet cover wasn’t quite dry so had to put that on myself today. I used the rolling into it method from you tube. It is so easy compared to all that shaking and grabbing corners malarkey wish I’d known about it years ago.

Unescorted what a lovely thing to say ❤️ It’s funny how you can know people online even though you’ve never met them, and get a real sense of what kind of person they are.

mammy I always read your posts in an Irish accent 😂 I don’t have an accent for anyone else just you. I am from Scotland, near Glasgow so now you can read mine in a broad Glaswegian accent 😜

SneakyGremlins · 14/11/2018 15:14

What's the rolling into it method????

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2018 15:16

I also need to know the rolling into it method.

Wolfcub · 14/11/2018 15:33

It’s quite funny I too read Mammy and Tayto in an Irish accent. Em and Sea have quite posh accents (compared to me). Life I read in the appropriate accent and Jam has a far nicer accent from our county than I. You all have your own voices in my head (not in a bad mh way just to clarify).

Shite work and home day here. Going to make a lazy roast and then read my book in the car whilst ds has his activity. Normally I would work but the way I feel today they can do one!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 15:40

I left the bank I'd been with for 20 years when they wouldn't/couldn't stop my account going overdrawn, this was when no one switched banks in Ireland, actually come to think of it people still don't really switch banks in Ireland Blush they said it was my responsibility to know what was in it before spending or withdrawing Angry beer goggles wouldn't let me do that though in my youth Grin

must look up rolling into it method, I turn cover inside out and grab furthest away corners and then shake it into place. Works ok so maybe I don't need to look up new method Hmm

bornlazy that made me Smile thinking of my posts being read out in an Irish accent. I've a husky kind of voice if that helps Smile
It's years since I was in Glasgee so I'll have to youtube that Grin
I do have a Scottish friend living in my locality so I get my fix of Scottish accent regularly Grin

autumn that has to be tough on your marriage too, it's obviously been tough on your own health.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 15:52

Thanks wolf for that advice - if I'd engaged my brain at all I could've just looked up the size of my bigger slow cooker Blush it's 6.5 litres and I'd very rarely need that one.

Now to check out reviews of instant pot vs pressure king

I'm thinking of taco fries/lasagne/chicken curry/happy pear beet wellington for mains - wedges/chips/rice for sides
Lemon self saucing pudding/Lemon cheesecake and some nice icecream for desserts so only starters to think of - or might just do dips and nibbles maybe. Maybe should change flavour of self saucing pudding to chocolate just for varietyHmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2018 16:02

I read Irish posters with an accent too 😹

If you have the Halifax reward account check for Morrison’s cashback, it works on cashback. My maximum reward is £10 so I’ll buy 4 bags of savers pasta at 27p each, withdraw £200 in cashback & pay it back into the same account at the post office on the way home.

I am rinsing paint rollers in the washing machine. I figured it took less water than running them under the tap for ages.

ememem84 · 14/11/2018 16:22

Haha I also read mammys posts in Irish!

Love that you think I’m a posh one. Haha. Dh’s family in nz think I sound very British. And one of the kids asked why I spoke like the queen. I’ve been told in the past though my accent is a bit south African British. The jersey accent is a bit like that. My mums from Devon/Somerset so she has a very broad accent.

Bornlazy · 14/11/2018 16:24

I will try to link it....
m.youtube.com/watch?v=c1IzS2oBBN0

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 16:27

lonely speaks posh too I think Grin

Bornlazy · 14/11/2018 16:31

Fluffy what a great idea. I sometimes get fed up and chuck them out, but not anymore 😀

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/11/2018 16:32

I also read mammy in an Irish accent 😂 i don't think I have much of an accent, it's definitely not a summmmmmerrrrrset one 😉

I'm sat watching do play tennis, she has improved loads recently.

I was thinking the gastritis was feeling a bit better but it's just started up again 😬
