Born I've been doing this a long time. Also tings going wrong pisses me off.

So, £4.70 refund on paint. Bought a tension rod to hang spray bottles off and food bags.

Been away - just caught up - so many posts. Need to reign in spending as starting new job 1 Sept - will be a gap re pay so poor until 30 Sept - then things will look brighter

spends
9 brunch
30 petrol
150 livery - my 4 normally all live at home but one has turned into a thug as little grass so have sent him away for the summer. Feel like I have a child at Borstol - or is that Borstel?
just about to spend 50 on a tattoo - very scared. I hated having my ears pierced but really want this done - it is in memory of people I recently lost

CurlsandCurves · 08/08/2018 14:23

Blimey Scandi that must have been terrifying!

Glad the appointment kind of went well, Sunny keep sipping that water ( no chugging!).

Very successful but spendy morning. DS2 is very nervous of the dentist, having had X-rays taken last time which got him very wound up. We saw a new guy this time and he was brilliant, took his time and DS2 was an absolute star.

School shoes bought (£46!), last few holiday toiletries, school polo shirts, couple of tshirts for DH, a pair of sandals for me (£15 bargain) and a trip to kfc for the boys. Just having a quiet half hour before tackling the ironing.

QuiteCleanBandit · 08/08/2018 14:42

Frugal fashion win.
I have 2 tea dresses that are really classic.
But they have bell sleeves which I hate and was in the verge of charity shopping them.
Rolled sleeves to just above elbow and they look bang on !
Will hoik out my machine DH will as I cant lift and will do some sewing later.
Hoping my shoulder will behave .

Really good day out at the North East family event at SJ James park. £5 parking, £15 train,£23 lunch. Would have taken a pic nic but food was supposed to be not allowed. The food stall was shut though. £25 Fenwick, £19 build a Bear, £10 on snacks.
Excellent fill day of free events for both dc

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/08/2018 17:26

Yeah a bit of good luck. £694 ppi refund

Wolfcub · 08/08/2018 17:30

Life that’s good. Will that just about cover the unexpected plumbing costs

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/08/2018 18:15

Glad your week has improved life
Wrong what body part are you getting tattoo on?

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/08/2018 18:16

I know. Just need to find my marriage certificate now

ememem84 · 08/08/2018 18:32

wrong if you’re there already this is too late. But if not buy a mars bar and a red coke. You might need it afterwards if you’re scared. Sugar levels drop after stuff like that...

ememem84 · 08/08/2018 18:43

Ffs. Ds just tried to eat catfaces food. And catface tried to eat his biscuit which he’d dumped on the floor. 😪

I’m making risotto with a combination of arborio and basmati rice. Because I didn’t have enough of either to do anything useful with.

Hate use up everything we have in prep for moving meals.

QuiteCleanBanditlovesdresses · 08/08/2018 18:44

Thats great news life
Waiting on ppi claim here .
Thought I would have a crack before the deadline

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/08/2018 19:07

wrong so your horse is on the naughty step?.

Flappyjack · 08/08/2018 19:21

Woke up in a bad mood today but DH made me go out. It was a lovely afternoon in a country park with lots of play equipment and a farm animal petting area plus loads of other stuff.

Spends £8.81 petrol station sarnies (too tired to make a packed lunch, though we took our own drinks.) We ate in the car because it was raining when we got there. It warmed up quickly and now I have a slightly sunburnt nose.

I've had a man out today to look at washing machine and tumble dryer. One is noisy, the other constantly beeping. The washing machine can't be fixed apparently. The bearings are going and hotpoint weld them on so they can't be replaced. It might limp on another month or so...the tumbledryer can be fixed for £90.00 but with this weather I consider it non urgent.

Why oh why is there always something...

Not even going to mention the state of the shed. Or DS2 collapsing bed.

sunny happy birthday. Glad the GP is not overly concerned. Keeping drinking and eating.

life nice score on the ppi.

Bornlazy · 08/08/2018 19:22

em when I first read that I thought it said cat feaces and I was like Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/08/2018 19:47

Ooh I missed that life, brilliant news.

Flappy is there anywhere near you that sells dented machines? when I left home my fridge and washing machine came from a place that sold new dented appliances. There are some online shops that do it too.

Flappyjack · 08/08/2018 19:58

fluffy never heard of that, but I will take a look. Thanks for the tip - appreciate it

WreckTangled · 08/08/2018 20:18

If we're going to Finland end of November ds' passport will be fine as it expires end of mark next year, right? Dh is panicking about the whole eu thing.

Also, bad night here as I didn't realise dd was reading my Facebook feed over my shoulder until she said 'what's a cunt?' Parenting fail...

Wolfcub · 08/08/2018 20:37

Flappy if you are in west yorks I can tell you where one of those places is

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/08/2018 20:38

At least you asked you and not grandma.

ememem84 · 08/08/2018 21:03

wreck if it were me I’d renew sooner. Some places are strict re the 6 months on a passport for entry and exit to a country.

CurlsandCurves · 08/08/2018 21:11

life that’s fantastic news, bet you’re feeling good right now!

Oops wreck ! 😂😂😂

It’s really cooled down here so all beds have been changed and we will all have a lovely cool nights sleep, hopefully.

Flappyjack · 08/08/2018 21:16

Thanks wolf but nowhere near..

Just wondering how do you know appliances haven't been dropped and damaged. Eek.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/08/2018 21:18

I'm really tired all this week so I've not started my tidying & decluttering really at all em, at hairdressers tomo night & away at my parents then for weekend so it won't be done this week.

Next week then I'll be tired on Monday, my mother arrives Tuesday I'm going to a gig Wednesday night & my mothers here right up to the weekend so looking at next weekend before I'll do anything really SadAngry

Wolfcub · 08/08/2018 21:23

Flappy they are sold by the factories that make them. Damage is only ever cosmetic and is graded in terms of where it is on the appliance and how significant so for example a scratch on the back might be grade a because you can’t see it whereas a scratch or paint defect on the front would be grade c and a grade c appliance would be cheaper
