Gah, I can’t sleep... DD has me up for a feed at 3.30am and I’ve been awake since, listening to the pouring rain. I went to bed at midnight so not good
.
Welcome to the new people . And thanks for the recipes, I’m defo going to look into those curry recommendations Laska.
I’d not fancy that house near you Wreck. A bowling alley - how tacky!
.
Good to have you back North and glad things are looking up for your mum.
It’s been a busy weekend. Housework all Saturday (managed to clear all the laundry off the spare bed - finally! - and clean bathroom and hoover everywhere. Was knackered). DSis stayed on Saturday night. Visited dad yesterday - it was a difficult visit as he’s on a lot of medication so barely coherent. And he’s a bag of bones. I wonder how much longer he will know us all
. I had a little weep on the motorway on the way home.
Overall quite a spendy weekend. Ocado £99, £20 on a rucksack for DS for his school trip (I could have spent less but I got one with rockets on to try to entice him to carry it), £14 on a treatment for a fungal nail infection (I suspect both my big toes
) and £14 for some Nail Envy nail treatment for my fingernails as they are quite brittle. I’ve lost my existing one but it was ancient and almost empty anyway.
Bloody hell, I think dd is stirring again
Cag Box of baby clothes is on its way
Meadow i wanted to say before - I’m sorry you are so anxious about giving birth. I get it - to a large extent it’s out of your control and such an ‘unknown’ that it’s very daunting. FWIW most births are straightforward. Your body just takes over and gets on with it, and the clinical teams are there to tweak and help you along. But it’s definitely worth being really upfront about your anxiety as you may benefit from additional support. Perhaps you can ask for help from your midwife to write a birth plan - it might help you to feel a bit more in control which would help you to sleep in the meantime?
Got to get up in 15 mins. Feeling a bit tired again now. It’s going to be a long rainy day
