I’ve heard this mentioned lots of times on here so would like to give it a try. I registered for a week’s trial last week and received an email today saying £79.99 subscription fee is due this week. Is there an option to pay monthly for this?

That’s a lot for YNAB. Normally they offer a 35 day trial and it’s $50 so about £40. They do have a pay monthly option. But encourage you to budget for it. I’ve saved far more than the few by using it. But I’m shocked by how much it’s increased.

Whoa. I paid about £45 lay
November. I thought that was a bit steep and won't be signing up again if it's jumped that much

I can't find that YNAB offer a weeks free trial, perhaps you've got a different app? I'm on a free 35 day trial atm but I think they're offering up to 3 months free from my googling just now. I've not yet been asked for any money, a week is not long enough to trial.

They put the price up in November. Anyone already joined by then will stick with the old price. Unfortunately there’s no option to pay monthly :(
You were unlucky to sign up for a week’s trial ... maybe sign up for a month with a different email unless you’ve really already devoted hours fo it.

I'm sure there was a pay monthly option. I got a free year as I'm a student.

You can pay monthly!

If you have it in your iPhone you can anyway just go into the payment bit and change to monthly.

There 's a two month trial here, don't know how current it is. www.youneedabudget.com/landing/ar-high-2-month/

i took a two month trial and got a lot out of it, did all the workshops, set up a budget and monitored really closely for a time. I did buy it after that as it was useful but now I don't use it so much, log in once a month around payday and spend a couple of hours allocating the previous months spend and planning the next. It is very good even then as that concentrated time of revisiting every transaction helps me really understand what I'm spending vs how I want to spend.
