Multiple income streams?? What are they??

I want to try the 'having several income streams' this year.
1st being my job
2nd agency work /extra shifts
3rd selling all my clutter on eBay bit by bit...not a massive income stream but something

That's it I'm stuck. Need inspiration. Does anybody else have different income streams...if so what are they??

We're able to rent out our drivewayfor part of the year quite effectively. For some people tutoring works. I enjoy crafting but don't do much of it at home at the moment as I can't "justify" it; it has been suggested that to do things as I feel like it and then consider selling on somewhere like Etsy could work.

Great ideas Ivy and Python unfortunately I have no spare rooms to rent.....I do have a drive but my home is not in an area that's desperate for parking.
Python if your good with crafts...definately look at Etsy.

It's something I trained to do about 5 years ago. The prices by some are just too low....there's so many people that do this now. I'm not a prescriber which adds in an extra cost. I can't be competitive.
Managing expectations is a tricky thing too...I met some beautiful people who were insistent that they had things wrong with their face.

Some people do matched betting. I did a bit a few years ago - mostly bonus bagging. If you are disciplined and very good at following exact instructions, you can make a good bit extra. I think there is/was a thread on here somewhere about it.

Wheely you say you couldn't tutor because you're a nurse, but doesn't that just mean for you the equivalent might be offering first aid training or similar? Worth looking into, though you may need some specific license to offer first aid courses - or you might not. There might even be a market for going to people's homes and offering 1:1 or small groups tailored first aid tutoring (new parents especially might be keen on baby and child first aid).

You probably need to be aware ahead of starting of tax implications. We pay tax in advance for extra income we theoretically might earn, because last year both DH and I did a lot of bits and bobs aside from our main jobs (all above board). I ended up paying 50% tax on earnings from teaching evening courses as an extra thing, because I did "too much" and went over the threshold, which stings a bit on a not very high hourly rate, but this year I'm doing less because of other commitments, and if we pay too much tax in advance this year well get a refund, as we have in previous years.

Rent a room is tax free up to £7000 per year...

Baby and toddler first aid is a really good idea. The NCT group I went to included a leaflet from a provider for this. After our babies we're all born, we met up regularly and one of the mums organised this for the group, and hosted in her house!

There is definitely an option there, and also running ante- natal NCT courses. You don't need to be a midwife to do it.

Don't be fooled, OP. I used to live in a very boring suburb with not much demand for parking.

I used to get 3-4 bookings per year mostly from people who are visiting friends/family nearby and wanted to park off the road or people in the local area who wanted to park their cars on a drive of a house that was inhabited. For those people, I used to offer to offer to start their cars up for them every day as well to keep them ticking over.

I used to make about £250 per year just from these handful of bookings. It's always worth putting your details up online anyway.
