laksa good to see you again!! So glad Dgd is doing well. Crazy to think that all happened a year ago! How time flies.

Thanks for your congrats. It's pretty exciting times here probably about to get expensive too...!!

Mummysh0rtlegs · 18/04/2017 21:18

Mammy - I just might, I may plug my list into mysupermarket to see what it says about the cheapest. I am sure Aldi will be cheapest, but some bits I will have to get elsewhere anyway.

SunnyLikeThursday · 18/04/2017 21:27

Laska Here I reckon we'll switch from Labour back to LibDem. Hard to know what the bigger picture will be though. I am glad we're having an election though. I think it's the right thing to do just on principle, given how much has changed.

AdoraBell · 18/04/2017 21:40

Still going on the summer holiday Christmas, that's Greek island in July. It was the Easter trip that we cancelled, DH had wanted to have a fortnight back in Chile, and the DDs were super excited, I was keen to see friends. Far too extravagant ATM.

Hope you're having a great time Wreck

Yay em 👍

Well done on the sofa cag

Hope you find a much cheaper one you like Laksa

Mummysh0rtlegs · 18/04/2017 21:51

Right, I have plugged it into the my supermarket and actually with the £20 I think it is ok from Ocado. It's close, but as I would have to come to other shops I think I will keep it. I think.

needastrongone · 18/04/2017 22:08

Only had a quick read through, been a busy day at work and then been to Boot Camp this evening.

Lovely to see you Laska.

That's brill news about the flat Em, all moved and sorted before the baby arrives.

Girlie I just wanted to say how fab your DD does with everything she's been through, the emergency in hospital, the sensory issues and the ENT issues. She's been through a lot and you remain a full on sensible mum Smile Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

Seacow How's the patient today? From your posts, it would seem to be a virus you think? They do go through a lot to get their immune system up to speed, hard not to be paranoid about it all.

Spends were £10 for me and DD for Boot Camp.

Hi laska great to hear things are good with you! Smile I was formerly a colour

mammymammyIRL · 18/04/2017 22:16

Brilliant news about dgd laska was worried to ask when she'd been so sick

Today was a NSD

LonelyOversharer · 18/04/2017 22:32

Great to see you laska I used to be knitting, and remember your posts about your dgd, so glad she's doing well.

Ferret pics! They are sooo cute. All 4 being dangled (it's good for their uber bendy spines) and the 2 new girlies. In the US they keep them as house pets they pong! but ours will only be in (in a big cage, or 2) through the winter.

£20 in aldi, school holidays seem so much more expensive, why is that? I'm still doing the same number of meals. I too use my supermarket to find the best deals, and am happy to trail about! Main basics shop is aldi or lidl now, but some branded stuff I can't get away from, but much less than I used to buy.

Do they bite lonely? Their teeth look very sharp!

LonelyOversharer · 18/04/2017 22:38

No, some are nippy, but ours are super tame. Our original one (far right in photo) is almost horizontal he's so tame. The rescue lady knew her stuff and was careful which ones she gave us as we have little dc, so we seem to have a good bunch. Very like cat teeth but smaller, their claws can get sharp if you don't clip them often.

mammymammyIRL · 18/04/2017 22:51

I knew someone online & through Facebook in ROI that had some as pets when dd was a baby 7 years ago.

Really cute

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2017 06:16

Hey laska good to hear from you. Can't remember when i name changed but i was Babs.

Exciting times em. Good luck finding somewhere.

£5 fitness yesterday. Nsd planned today as having a day around the house.

I would use the occado voucher if there isn't much in it especially for a weekend away and different foods.

It's tough having to cancel Adora. Sorry to hear that.

needastrongone · 19/04/2017 07:01

I'm loving the ferrets Lonely!

Not sure about spends today, won't be much. I've already spent £16 on Amazon on a new mascara. I tried cheaper ones first this time. I don't really know why I did so, I've used this particular mascara for years and years and loved it.

Busy one today. Viewing on our place at 8.15 - really should get out of bed. Although we've accepted an offer on ours we felt we had to let this one go on as they may offer more and it'd be rude to cancel at the very last minute.

We're viewing a house at 1.15 today.

And in between all of that I've got to fit work in.

Eek. Should be nsd as have leftover pasta for dinner.

Payday on Friday. Yippee.

SnugglySnerd · 19/04/2017 07:24

Laska! How lovely to hear from you! I'm another one who's been here ages and has name changed.

Good news on the offer, Em.

We're mentally listing all the things we need to do to put our house on the market. Only superficial stuff, nothing major but goodness knows when we'll have time. Not planning to do it until I'm back at work anyway so we have nearly a year to get it spruced up. It's hard to keep the house tidy with small children.

Should be NSD today. Babies have a weigh-in and a friend is bringing round her baby to join in the madness!

Cagliostro · 19/04/2017 07:51

Cute ferrets 😍

So glad she is doing well Laska what a star :)

WreckTangled · 19/04/2017 08:03

Ah laska! I often see you on threads so knew you were still about. Don't think I've name changed since we last spoke?

Em great news on the offer if I haven't already said.

When I get home I have lots of weight to lose I'm a right chubster at the moment. I find it expensive though being healthy 🙄

scattyspice · 19/04/2017 08:21

Great news about the apartment Em.
I have never done an online shop! Mostly shop at lidl.
Extra £16 spends last night for tickets to see the opening night of DDs show, tis the local scouts show, all the kids were fantastic 😊
Need some extra bits from sainsbury today, df coming later.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/04/2017 08:38

Great news on the offer em

Off to see Beauty and the beast with oldest DD. Don't know who is more excited! Little DD has gone off happily to nursery so get some one on one time today. May also take a trip to Primark for tights and t shirts and shorts

ChristmasSeacow · 19/04/2017 08:44

Good news on the offer Em. You're going to have a big year!

Wreck I agree about healthy eating being. A bit more expensive. It's the extra fruit and lean cuts that makes the difference for me. I always feel better for it though. Anyway, you don't need to think about that until after your holiday! Enjoy the end of your trip.

DS is a lot bettter today. Still a slightly elevated temp but below 38 now and quite cheerful so I've sent him to nursery. He may not last the day so I am hoovering and mopping like a mad woman while I can! Off to Argos, mothercare and Tesco shortly, this won't be a cheap day....

ememem84 · 19/04/2017 08:49

Thanks y'all. It's a bit scary now. But step one done.

Final step is have baby. So just got to work out the middly bits now!!

I miss online supermarket shopping. It's not available here 😭😭 Well only veg boxes and farm shops do it so I'd still have to go to the supermarket.

We can get home delivery but have to do the shop at the shop. So no point really. 😭😭

needastrongone · 19/04/2017 09:13

How did the viewing go Em?

Glad DS is feeling a bit better Seacow, good luck with the shopping.

I'm just about to do the Ocado shop.

Trying to utilise the MSE offer for cheap duvets/pillows but the website keeps crashing.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/04/2017 09:45

Thanks Need she does seem to have more than most sometimes, the sensory issues I think were caused by a traumatic birth and pregnancy (i had gallstones and was really poorly, I don't want to scare Em but needless to say the birth was not great) its apparently linked Sad

The ENT stuff is just one of those things, my mum had her tonsils and adenoids out when she was a young girl (on the kitchen table according to her Hmm) so maybe hereditary...

We had another bad night coughing wise, hoping the antibiotics kick in soon.

Today should be a NSD although if dd feels up to it might venture to the tips reuse shop for a nose about (its only 5mins away) if not will be pottering about at home.

Lovely to see you Laska and glad things are going well, can't believe your dgd is a year old Shock a motor home sounds amazing!

Sounds like things are moving house wise Em exciting!!

Coppersulphate · 19/04/2017 09:47

Em, that's rill news on your flat and so much better to be moving before babyEm. You can settle in and get things sorted.
Love the ferrets. I only hear of the occasionally if I listen to The Archers. The look super cute and cuddly.
Well done on the sofa Cag. Mine is at least 20 years old and already fallen to bits but I can't afford a new one at the mo.
I think I might have accidentally booked a mega expensive holiday for me and DP that neither of us can possibly afford. But I have always wanted to go to Easter Island and Pitcairn Island it's not until 2019. So saving hard.....still planning on greenhouse next though. Will have to do lots of extra work.
I'm still living on the DGCs chocolate stash. If I don't eat it, it will go off. Right. I hate food waste.
