Has anyone been trying the 10 fruit and veg a day after it was in the news? Am starting to notice how difficult it is when out and about to get fruit and veg, especially for kids. Would be good to know if others are finding the same challenges.

10 portions a day is 850g of fruit & vegetables. (Typical portion is 85g) I'm on 4 portions so far and expect to get to 7 when I have broccoli with my tea later. It's not easy.

You're doing well. The Department of Health says a portion is 80g so perhaps you're doing better than you think! I think it could be alot easier than it is if we got rid of some of confectionary and junk food on offer and replaced some of it with fruit and veg!

Could you take your own veg for the DC? Is it snacks on the go or meals? GP told DD2 to aim for 6/7 veg and the rest fruit.
