girlie black skinnies are a staple to me. So they were needed. Obvs.

And dd needs clothes right??

I never bother justifying a maccy d's. Sometimes it's just needed.

WreckTangled · 28/01/2017 18:16

Looks shit em so glad I'm not there.

😩😩

ememem84 · 28/01/2017 18:18

wreck it is so stressful here.

SnugglySnerd · 28/01/2017 18:43

I'm a little bit envious, Em, I dream about spending a night in a hotel with lovely crisp sheets and people to cook and wash up all my meals! Have a wonderful time!

Managed an NSD after all but only because we couldn't be bothered to go and buy salad so have decided to eat Monday night's tea instead.

Been to party this afternoon. DD has been running amok with her friends, we are both exhausted from doing damage limitation! Have eaten a lot of cake!

ememem84 · 28/01/2017 19:24

snuggly I've been dreaming about this for ages. It's necessary.

We've both been so stressed out.

I've just been asked by the maid whether I want the beds turned down for the evening. I said yes. Never had that before.

Have snacked all the hotel toiletries away in my bag.

CremeEggThief · 28/01/2017 19:29

Spends: £6.60 bus fare; £7.50 Costa, having 2 coffees and a muffin with a pal, we were in there over 2 hours, catching up Smile; £5.59 on my card in Tesco (bread, milk, juice, kitchen roll, bananas, chocolate croissants). Total: £19.69.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/01/2017 19:32

For crop top and shorties try Morrison's nutmeg. I got DD from there. Also crop tops from sainsburys

mammymammyIRL · 28/01/2017 19:55

Em that looks & sounds like such a horrible place to spend the night, such torture Grin

Dd woke me at 8.30am luckily as her swim lesson is at 10am! We went there then met my cuz for lunch my turn to pay €32.95. Filled my tank with diesel using a voucher I got for Christmas as near my relatives SuperValu have fuel 😄
Visited my Nan, uncle & his wife, same cuz's house again to spend more time with her & her mother.
Meant to go to Lidl but ds fell asleep in car so just got 4l of milk at service station where I could see him from the window.

Going to go to Lidl tomo & pay with 3 different cards as I'll get €5 back on each €25 transaction. Will get cheese & yogurts in Aldi as dc prefer them there.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/01/2017 20:04

Hotel looks fab em. You can transport champagne flutes in old malt whisky boxes. I hope your having a lovely relaxing time.

£11 on screws in wickes Hmm which has screwed up my NSD target.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/01/2017 20:17

Spendy day today. £165 in sainsburys but £45 of that will be got back via a collection. Friend had a death in the family and I was the nominated flower buyer. Some more was cleaning products and birthday presents. £39 in aldi. Aldi seems expensive at the moment or is it just me?
£22 afternoon tea which was lush. £2.80 parking. Nearly got trapped on the Riverside in Durham but did some ninga driving round a bollard.

Took flowers and supplies to said friend this afternoon too which was sad.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/01/2017 20:18

Em hope you have a rubbish nights sleep in your sumptuous, lovely room. GrinEnvy

Not really hope it's fab.

ememem84 · 28/01/2017 21:31

Bed is so uncomfy

ememem84 · 28/01/2017 21:31

#notreally

CremeEggThief · 28/01/2017 21:31

Ooh, where did you go for afternoon tea, Life?

Cagliostro · 28/01/2017 21:33

Thank you for the undies advice life - we have a new Morrisons in town which opened last year. I've not bought anything for the Caglets in the Nutmeg bit yet, but they do look lovely! So kind of you to support your friend at this difficult time Thanks

You've reminded me I still have an afternoon tea to have at some point (friend got me a voucher for my 30th) :)

Not a very spendy day - DH got a couple of bits at the co-op and then found some awesome books in the charity shop which will go in the home ed budget (vikings etc) - 5 for £2! :)

Thanks Em Smile we had a try on sess tonight and the swimming costume and skinny jeans will be going back as they are too tight aren't quite the right fit. Black skinny jeans are on my must have list though so will keep looking. Enjoy your night, sounds like a proper posh hotel Envy I love a good hotel Envy

mammymammyIRL · 28/01/2017 22:08

I must buy dd a swimsuit tomo, she's just stretched so much her swimsuit which has a racer back is uncomfortable now. Told her we would get one & she says can I look at them on your phone. I replied for what, she said for when we're buying it on the internet! We're going to a shop to purchase actuallyGrin

Tryingtosaveup · 28/01/2017 22:10

Wow, Em, enjoy. I am coming in June for a week to do some work for the charity I do voluntary work with. Don't know where I am staying yet as they have not sorted it out.

MeadowHay · 28/01/2017 22:27

My parents & brother came to visit us today, which was nice. We live in a different city now you see so they had to drive 2hrs to visit us and then 2hrs back. NSD - they paid for our dinner out @ Nando's, and a hand cream for me, and a tie for DH, and 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts each (one for today and one for tomorrow each). Grin I am lucky to have such generous parents (although obviously they have the money too to be able to part with it).

Brightermornings · 28/01/2017 23:05

Em hotel sounds lovely. I love staying in hotels even if it's just a premier inn although I am a real home bird. Love my house always feel sad when I have to leave it. It's possibly to do with my anxiety I feel safe at home.
Today's spends as predicted food shop was about £30.
I did buy a new firm pillow, slouchy jumper and shoe liners from primark but paid for those on a gift card I had.
I've got a freebie coming from Liz Earle a gift set I bought had got a product which potentially has glass in it. You could get a refund of £6.50 or 2 products worth £20ish so I opted for them.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 28/01/2017 23:57

Has anyone seen need since her birthday?

Managed a nsd, slow cooker curry was really nice, but it has split as I'd forgotten not to put the coconut cream in until the end, we ate it anyway!

I love nutmeg clothes for kiddies, quality on a par with mini mode I think. My dd2 &dd3 are both at crop top stage, 21 months between them, so double shot of puberty approaching (they're 10 & almost 9). It is a slippery slope - dd1 went from cute crop tops in y6 to 32G in y9 Confused !

Have a brilliant time em (am sure you are!)

WreckTangled · 29/01/2017 06:29

Will be spendy today. Going for a massage with a friend £12.50. Then going for coffee afterwards. Need to pop into fat face and pick up dd's replacement hat they so kindly sent. Home bale cinnamon swirls for breakfast yum!

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2017 07:19

Crème we went to crook hall. It was lovely and planning on going back for a look around in the summer. Kid's will love a run in the garden

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2017 07:20

Feeling rough. Got up for paracetamol and tea and gone back to bed
