Oh yes scarecrow I meant to say, what is the education session about? Do you really need to attend it having already had a dc?

Pixie I need to renew dd's passport. Mine runs out the end of the year.

Actually can someone do me a favour? I've looked and found that you one need one month on your passport from your return date to travel to New Zealand, can anyone check if this s true as it just seems quite a short date to me and I don't trust myself to have the right information!

Reported above post.

Umm today I'm at work. Dh has to go to Kent today so I'm dropping the dc off at a friends at 7:30 and she is taking them to school.

Will be nsd. Lamb hot pot for dinner, ready meals I got reduced in tesco, will do some Yorkshires and veg.

ememem84 · 06/01/2017 06:49

wreck I thought it was 6 months?

Today should be nsd. I'm so happy it's Friday. It's been a long week.

I'll look into the ovulation testing. To be fair I'm getting what I think are pretty clear signs. But can't hurt to test. May buy the most expensive ones I can. Probably will only use them once...! Haha!

ememem84 · 06/01/2017 06:52

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/01/2017 07:52

Waves
Awful week at work
£16 in Morrison's yesterday, £39 in aldi on fitness stuff, £4 class.

Have been reading just not posting

SnugglySnerd · 06/01/2017 09:31

That's a good offer on the wok, Cag. Is it non-stick?

I'm staying at home today, everything hurts and I didn't sleep much. I feel dreadful and also a bit confused/disorientated from lack of sleep but I don't feel like I want to go to sleep if that makes sense? Just watching tv with the cat.

CathodeRayTube · 06/01/2017 09:46

em peeing on a stick gets a bit addictive, so if you find you get into it, then those cheaper ones really definitely work.

Snuggly should we be worried about you if you feel that bad, or did you just have a rubbish night's sleep?

I'm trying to be sensible and have a rest. Too much fun going on here. Smile

SnugglySnerd · 06/01/2017 10:44

I think just a rubbish night, Cath plus my back pain is bad but I think I've just got to put up with that until the babies are born!
I was just having a little snooze on the sofa and the cat was sick and woke me up!

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2017 11:55

Wreck it is also my first mw check up. I don't know what info they will give - I don't need birth info as such, but local arrangements have changed since I had DS (location and frequency of community mw care vs hospital, and I don't know what difference my age makes to appointments), so I probably need some of the info. Hmm. I think DH will need to take leave but we are not going to have any holiday together at all at this rate Sad

Sorry about your crap night Snuggly. And your crap week life.

Am taking DS out this arvo for a walk in the woods - will hopefully wear him out. Tonight I am meeting DH and sone uni friends in town for a marathon karaoke session. It's our post-NY tradition. We go to one of those places where you have your own little room. I am usually the only girl so I get all the girl parts of duets. I am also the only cheese lover and have to suffer through a fair amount of Radiohead, morrrisey (which autocorrects to mortuary Grin) and the like.

I get my own back though. Tonight I will be celebrating the music of mr George Michael. The Wham years, mostly. Also mr David Bowie (a regular karaoke favourite anyway).

4 hours between 6 of us Shock

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2017 11:58

Oh and £10 for my sister's takeaway. She is a very cheap babysitter.

SnugglySnerd · 06/01/2017 12:36

That sounds like a brilliant night out, Seacow, have fun!

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2017 12:42

It will be. DS won't let me practice though. For a boy who can't answer the question 'what's your name?' It is pretty annoying that he can say 'mummy stop singing'.

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2017 12:52

Although my name wasn't specifically a Christmas one (it's a reference to DS's favourite Sarah and Duck episode which he watches ALL YEAR ROUND) I feel a bit daft now so will change it later. When I figure out how.

mammymammyIRL · 06/01/2017 13:35

Trip to town while cleaner was here working her magic.
€20 cleaner
€20.50 on pjs & dressing gown from penneys
€19.60 on cafe breakfast for me, dc & dsis
€1.80 parking
€6 cough bottle
€15? Butchers

Treat spends covered by €50 from my mother Grin
Home now & instead of planned hair, make up & nails for women's Christmas it's pjs & fire for the afternoon Grin dc need it too they're under the weather.

BertieTodd · 06/01/2017 13:45

Do you usually do something special for women's Xmas mammy? I love that tradition and have always thought it would be fun to organise something for it, this year would have been perfect too with it falling on a Friday night but I just have too much else on this week/this weekend (including ovulating so I don't want to tire myself out too much to DTDGrin)

ChristmasSeacow · 06/01/2017 13:50

What is women's Christmas?

CathodeRayTube · 06/01/2017 14:03

My neighbour told me that Christmas in the Russian Orthodox Church is tomorrow, so they have it in an entirely different month from us. Who knew?!

I have sent her a Christmas card today just for fun. I hope she doesn't get bad luck for ignoring the twelfth night rule.

Our bird feeders are very popular today. I had four greenfinches all at once!

mammymammyIRL · 06/01/2017 14:16

It wouldn't have been a big deal where I come from but in Kerry it's a big deal.
6th Jan is women's Christmas so a night out for the women after all their hard work at Christmas, generally involves a meal & drinks.
Our gang usually do a pot luck type dinner & drinks at someone's house & secret Santa too. This year I think they're going out to the pub after the meal.

Bertie ttc is obviously more important Wink

mammymammyIRL · 06/01/2017 14:17

How's the water intake going em? I've upped the ante today & am including apple cider vinegar

Cagliostro · 06/01/2017 15:08

You're drinking vinegar?!

Home at last, was a really lovely visit though. Feeling more ready to get back into routine of some sort next week.

Hugs to all those feeling crappy Thanks

Cagliostro · 06/01/2017 15:08

And I think I forgot I paypaled my friend £8 yesterday for books I'd asked to buy off her a while ago. That'll be the first entry in our home ed budget.

SnugglySnerd · 06/01/2017 15:23

I have never heard of women's Christmas! That sounds like it should be a thing here too! Feeling a bit better, have done some work. Have eaten a lot of chocolates and biscuits this week which probably isn't helping my energy levels.

Needastrongone · 06/01/2017 15:36

Women's Christmas, who knew?! I'm not sure my feminist leanings agree with the assumptions behind it, but I bet it's a great night out so enjoy Grin

I give my chickens apple cider vinegar ( a tiny bit in their water), supposed boost egg production ha ha. It is good for you though.

Lovely surprise for your DS North, hope he enjoys meeting his 'hero', so to speak.

The auto-correct isn't a bad one in Morrisey's case Scarecrow, I always did feel quite depressed after listening to him. Enjoy the night out.

You okay Life, you've had a hard time at work recently. Flowers

So, spends today.
£18 Nails, very dark grey, almost black.
£55 Boots.
£25 cleaner (best ever cleaner yet, fairly new).
£5 DS karate later.

All cash.

Boots have an awful lot of their Christmas things at half price, which accounts for most of the spending there, I picked up 2 beautiful Champney's candles, each in a lovely box, £9 each. Will do for birthday presents. And the Soap and Glory sets, which were amazing value anyway, were half price too. One for DD for her birthday, one contains lots of things I use, but cost £9 instead of circa £25/30. If anyone suffers with cracked or dry heels, their foot cream is the bees knees, and costs about £6.

I've got a Davina pork and sweet potato chilli in the SC, flavoured with cumin and chipolte paste. To have with rice. Really bulked up 400g pork mince, so we will get plenty of servings.

mammymammyIRL · 06/01/2017 15:36

Yes cag

£12 in the chemist on plasters and some super expensive oilatum shampoo which I'm hoping will help ds' cradle cap.
