Lovely tiles Trying, I've got similar but very slightly lighter. It's so hard to choose. Fabulous.

£6.40 on fish for DS, but found a tenner in a pocket.

I've also twitched in the Boden sale, but used TBC I may not keep.

Our Christmas holidays have arrive now. Balamory is in full swing now and I have a big list of cheap activities on the whiteboard. Smile

Spends today:
€19 in supermarket

Had a lovely day today, DS had a
ball at our toddler group Xmas party and then we had family over for mince pies this afternoon.
Got Xmas cards posted but other than that didn't get much done for my last work free day pre Xmas Eve, so I must get a few things done this evening.

Happy Birthday Wilderness FlowersChocolate

Your bathroom is coming along nicely, Trying.

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/12/2016 19:01

Looking the tiles trying.
£18 on cafe, £10 on ice skating and stalls.
Christmas for shop £100 - £25 nectar voucher.
£38 on 2x trainers for ds. Dd has gone into the next size but only just so she can wait a couple of weeks until her toes are at the front.
We wait until the rush is over so will do Fenwick window at the new year.

Cagliostro · 20/12/2016 19:05

Is there a Frugaleer naughty corner? I twitched. DS had one less book than DD and of course that gave me the excuse to buy the gorgeous book I've had on my wishlist for him all year... nearly £19 FFS. Sodding Transformers obsession and weak willed mama, bad combo!

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/12/2016 19:17

Naughty cag.

Cagliostro · 20/12/2016 19:34

Yup. Xmas Blush

WreckTangled · 20/12/2016 19:41

girlie I only have a two week trial. Still need to finger prick before meals (for my pump) and before driving as the cgm isn't dvla approved yet.

life I have also been to menorca. It's definitely he quieter of the two islands. We stayed at cala'n porter.

CremeEggThief · 20/12/2016 19:51

Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia are apparently the most family friendly areas, Life. We stayed in a little resort near Palma, which we really liked, and a friend and her family like the area around Soller . We also stayed near Girlie's resort in Menorca, which again was great. However, we loved Es Canar in Ibiza best of all. Our hotel was right on the beach, which was in the shape of a half moon bay, and the sea was as calm as a lake, and we were within walking distance of the Hippy Market. We would happily return to all of the Balearics.

SnugglySnerd · 20/12/2016 20:43

I twitched too!

AdoraBell · 20/12/2016 21:08

NSD for me, DH spent £1,300 on vet bill so far, that includes dealing with deceased dog. There will of course be more for Teddy's ongoing treatment. Can't remember who asked but no, plumber is not accepting responsibility for one or other of his lads having opened the gate.

Pub dinner after evening trip to vet's, £38.

On the plus side Teddy is improving. The ruse of us being there all day is working, and the vet says the intensive TLC over a Sunday night was key to him turning a corner.

Cag naughty twitching there Xmas Grin

Cake sounds fab Snuggly I love the DC's efforts at Christmas, mine have always been in charge of tree decorating Xmas Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/12/2016 21:32

Plumbers a cunt. The main thing is Teddy lives a good life. If he's bonded to you being near to you will make all the difference to him.

theoatmeal.com/blog/hamster_atonement Maybe there's a big dog waiting for them.

£14 Tesco. I got tassimo pods as the coffee machine spare part hasn't arrived.

BertieTodd · 20/12/2016 21:34

Your bathroom looks great trying, very similar to the ones in my current bathrooms and I love them; we may well go for something similar again in our new house.

Got a sauce made for dinner Christmas Eve/ contribution to Christmas Day dinner so got something useful done this evening Smile.

AdoraBell · 20/12/2016 21:52

Yes Fluffy he does seem to be bonded to me, and DD2. Before this he would sleep either with me when DH is away or with DD2. So after sitting with him for most of Sunday pm I asked DD2 to sleep with him. i was very afraid that we would lose 2 dogs.

Love that link

Well done on Christmas sauce prep Bertie

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/12/2016 22:00

Hi all been a funny kind of day in the end, dd and her mate were driving me a bit mad so decided to walk to a local garden centre which was much closer in my mind than in reality Xmas Grin

Anyway it was fine, spent £7 ish while we were there but girls were very good and shared a big piece of cake and didn't ask for much bless them!

This afternoon made a yummy chocolate cake and haven't done a lot else, feels a bit weird after the busyness of the last few weeks!!

Realised that I think we have lost a valuable charm bracelet my mum gave dd for her 10th bday, it was my nans so had huge sentimental value as well Sad going to spend tomorrow searching the house for it!!

SnugglySnerd · 20/12/2016 22:11

I hope you find it girlie.
Adora, that vet's bill is eye-watering. Hope Teddy keeps improving.

AdoraBell · 20/12/2016 22:39

Glad the girls didn't ask for loads Girlie, hope you find that bracelet.

Yes Snuggly very much so, I'm just glad we are able to pay it

mammymammyIRL · 20/12/2016 23:22

Pray to st Anthony girlie Grin

I'm keeping up at all here, was at a very sad funeral this evening Sad

I'm feeling loads better too thanks everyone, had two very early nights & I feel good today Smile

ememem84 · 20/12/2016 23:22

Bathroom looks amazing!! X

Spent the evening with friend and their 2 year old. Such a cutie. Makes me want one even more.

We played play dough, shopping trolleys and she danced. Best evening ever. And there was vienetta.

Tryingtosaveup · 21/12/2016 00:02

Thanks everyone. I spent 4 hours today cleaning up everywhere. The workmen were good but I felt like I was eating dust. And the tiler is coming tomorrow.
Adora....you are putting savings to good use. Hope he keeps improving.
Cag....I did the same in Waterstones the other day. But I blame the workmen. I saw 2 books I just had to buy for DGD. Then she had more than DGS....and so it went on. I had been saving for bathrooms not books.
Girlie. I second St Anthony. My mother swore by him and he seemed to find things for her. Hope you find it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/12/2016 06:04

We did porta pollensa last year and I would go back but I think the world is such a big place with lots to see. Will check out the others.
Adora that's a hefty bill but pleased teddy is coming along.

Ds has cold, again, fgs will it every leave our house. I think I need a dr app as I've been coughing for 3 weeks.

Hope you find it girlie. Does it leave the house, maybe try the garden centre?

ememem84 · 21/12/2016 06:54

Today's spends will be a mulled wine after work with a friend.

Catface had mauled one of her mousies and he's split open. Poor mousie he didn't stand a chance. Luckily it's only stuffing and catnip.

WreckTangled · 21/12/2016 07:10

We're all getting out hair cut today. Have someone coming to the house to do it so should be cheaper than usual. Otherwise no plans. I have a cough.
