Welcome Adventures.

My friend and her son came down with the flu, so had to cancel our visit to them. So no plans for this weekend now and over £60 lost on our train tickets, as they were non-refundable. I hate this time of year and always dip really low, so I try to counter it by planning things and having something to look forward to, and that's all gone now, so my mood has really plummeted. Of course it can't be helped, but the only thing that will cheer me up a bit is saying good bye to 2016 and getting back into some sort of routine. I've been looking at holidays in the Canaries for Christmas/ New Year 2017 today, as I would love to do that.

Anyway, spends: £7 bus; £10 Patisserie Valerie, catch up with a friend; £57.96 H&M (2 pairs of pajamas and grey tights were needs. Cords and a patterned skirt were wants.); £10.18 Tesco; £4.25 sandwich in a café.

Welcome adventure. We have spare money each month apparently Hmm it just disappears though!

Meal plan:

Spag Bol
Chilli (one for the freezer too)
Wraps with falafel and salad
Lamb hot pot
Tuna pasta bake
Kievs and mash
Chicken with leeks in a white wine sauce
Sausages

Also that's 8 meals and we only need five this week.

Lunches will be soup/pitta and humous/toasties

Breakfast for the dc is honey nut cornflakes/brioche

Welcome Adventures

If you like takeaways buy a copy of the takeaway secret by kenny McGovern. It's brilliant and easy to follow, except the burger ones. I can't get them right so I just buy them and make secret sauce like you have on McDonald's.

There's the curry secret too by a different author. You can download that on PDF for free.

You'll need lots of spices but there very cheap bought online from east end spices.

Welcome Adventures, sounds like you have a good plan for paying off debts.
I'm zooming over to the new thread...

NSD but not for a want of trying - desperately wanted coffee but cafe along my walk was closed! On the bright side I've rediscovered a free local attraction.

Really interesting reading through chats today. I definitely feel better made up and in proper clothes but when home with just the fam I often don't even wash my face until evening Blush I would like to look more groomed and would really like to learn how to blow-dry my hair. Conversely I do need to brush up on politics - I'm often found nodding along at the dinner table thinking who? what? eh?!
