Interesting, thanks - I've only ever known them to be kept outside.

Cheaper to feed as well I would imagine, than a cat. Do they still have to be kept in a cage though?

Shesgotelectricboobs · 22/10/2016 23:01

80 pouches should last 80 days or thereabouts.

I was told by the vet to feed her the biscuits and a pouch every day. So we do biscuits in the morning and pouch at night. But some differ. My friends cats were a pouch every other day.

I bloody love guinnea pigs. So cute and so squeaky. Love love them.

Catface is currently meowing at something and chasing a ball. No idea what she's meowing at. But I've meowed back. A lot. Three glasses of wine and I'm fluent in meow.

Tryingtosaveup · 22/10/2016 23:45

Well done on the run Need.
Cag, we've had cats and rabbits. Cars win, hands down. Mine was very cuddly but very daft.
The rabbits had to run about outside and couldn't really be brought inside because they were not toilet trained at all. Love cats. ( and dogs and all the others) but cats are best for me.
£7 on Halloween biscuits for DGCs
Mammy your DS made me laugh.

My friends DS had just been toilet trained and was no longer wearing swim nappies in the pool. Friend explained that when he wanted to wee now he had to get out of the water as he no longer had a nappy on.
Next swimming lesson he told teacher he needed a wee and had to get out of water.
Friend was pleased and very proud mum.
Her DS climbed out, turned round, pulled trunks down and stood and peed into the pool.
Not so pleased and very embarrassed mum.
But DS was doing what he had been told!

AdoraBell · 22/10/2016 23:58

NS couple of Ds

Might need to to shop tomorrow.

WreckTangled · 23/10/2016 05:57

My friend has Guinea pigs and they're awesome for the kids. One of them looks like Donald trumps wig. Her dc love them they're so placid but robust enough to take being handled by the three year old!

Dd went on her first sleep over last night she was really nervous but it all went fine Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/10/2016 07:24

Our school had 2 guinea pigs, they can cope with being handled by 30 kids in due they would be OK as house pets. They were rehomed when they started getting older though. One of the parents adopted them.
Cag, our dogs trust has volunteers o walk/ play with the dogs would it be worth looking into for cats rescue. I don't know s I'm allergic.
Can't remember how old your dc are but a Google should inform you, or a phone call if you are up it.

Football cancelled, food shopping and a bit of on line for things dd saw yesterday

mammymammyIRL · 23/10/2016 08:43

I'm not really hungover at all. My car is parked in the village two miles away. I might run to get it, I blame needGrin

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2016 09:25

You can foster cats for rescues, I think they pay for the cats living expenses while a homes found. Or for mothers with kittens who need socialising with humans.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 23/10/2016 09:58

Dsis has a full foster cat. He's a bit of a mess to look at (he was seriously mistreated in his last home) but he is super loving and friendly.

All her vets bills get taken care of because he has a lot of issues.

Needastrongone · 23/10/2016 11:53

Get running then mammy Grin

Only thing with getting a kitten is that I imagine they are quite full on when young maybe Cag? Everyone loves a puppy, but they are honestly like having another child for the first 6 months and people don't realise it.

I will admit to being tired today, DD needed picking up from her friends house an hours drive away, at 7am so I was up at 5.45am. We've then trained. Now having a cuppa and will just do stuff in the house this afternoon, interspersed with MN'ing.

£6 training.

Grin at the guinea pig looking like Donald Trumps wig.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/10/2016 13:39

Quick sign on, kittens are so cute though! But yes not cheap, practically I think a 5 yo rescue cat would be sensible as hopefully any long term health issues etc would be less of a risk. But i love a kitten, they are just so sweet!

Going to buy a roast chicken for dinner in a bit but that should be it for spends today.....

mammymammyIRL · 23/10/2016 14:59

We walked the two miles as a family instead with ds in buggy.
Dd is gone to a birthday party & myself and ds are doing the shopping in town. We've been to Tesco & mr price so far & are now going to Aldi.

mammymammyIRL · 23/10/2016 16:26

Aldi was spendier than planned bought a panini press for €30 & some new slipper socks for myself. Total shop €189.08, Tesco €19.70 but included sandwich deal for lunch and the very important pumpkin Smile
Mr price was about €8 dishwasher salt, clip on light for my kindle, led light for new clothes line area at side of house and a bag of chupa chup mini lollies for dc

My boot is full & i got stock up with loads of things. I guess taking away panini press & socks & lights about €40 more than usual weekly shop.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 23/10/2016 17:05

Nsd today.

It's grey and absolutely pouring down here.

I may have hopped into feelunique earlier and bought two ysl mascara's £43. But cancelled them. Just had a bored Sunday "I deserve a treat" moment. Had a nice biscuit instead.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 23/10/2016 17:06

Have added said mascara onto my Christmas list. It is lovely. But at £20 a go it's pricey.

CremeEggThief · 23/10/2016 17:24

Just back from a delicious pub lunch. I can't remember the last time before today that I've had a Sunday lunch I haven't had to cook myself!
Spends: £7.50 bus fares; £31.80 on 2 soft drinks, 2 dinners (Mushroom Wellington and pork), 1 pudding and 1 cappuccino; 50p on a Crunchie.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/10/2016 17:47

£150 on week's shop, no meal plan though so a bit shit.
£10 for family ticket to see trolls. Our towns old cinema is struggling since a new one opened so they have slashed the prices

allthebestplease · 23/10/2016 17:59

creme mmm loving the idea of Sunday lunch and defo a crunchie now (feeling hungrySmile)

Spent £30 on food for week, £6 on fog food for week. We need no toiletries, literally only milk and bread as a top up. We only need diesel and a prescription.

I will I will I will not spend anything this half term..i will.

Needastrongone · 23/10/2016 18:25

Chicken dinner.
Carrot and orange soup.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2016 18:34

NSD.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/10/2016 19:04

£8 on a cooked chicken and a pudding, had a fabulous roast dinner at my mums after work that considering it was thrown together was really delicious Grin

Today was mega busy at work, managed 13 visits Shock totally knackered now and in my pjs already!! Dd had a lovely time away with my mum, they went to a little caravan by the sea and spent this morning fossil hunting.

Heating still not working down stairs so tomorrows job is to sort that out asap.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/10/2016 19:07

I'm sure I can cobble some meals together. I have plenty of cook books and magazines to get ideas from

NeversellahouseCollie · 23/10/2016 19:34

We had a LSD. £1 on a pumpkin and 75p on A4 envelopes.

This weekend we went to the beach, had hot chocs out, went to the park x2, played in the leaves in a NT place, collected gigantic red & orange leaves, chestnuts and acorns, collected pine cones and sea shells too. It's been a really lovely autumnal weekend.

This coming week will be horrible and stressful. Guaranteed! Haloween Sad can't wait until it's ALL over!

CremeEggThief · 23/10/2016 19:38

My meal plan:
Monday: lentil Bolognese with spaghetti.
Tuesday: same.
Wednesday: veggie burgers and chips.
Thursday: veggie stirfry with Quorn chunks and noodles.
Friday: same, except for rice instead of noodles.
Saturday: pizza.

CremeEggThief · 23/10/2016 19:40

Oh CollieSad. Maybe it won be quite as hard as you fear. Hold tight to those wonderful memories you've just told us about, to get you through the tough week.Brew
