I'm stretching out the shopping until some day next week.
Dd takes oatcakes every day to school as part of her lunch, last night I quizzed her on what other people take and she decided she'd like ham sandwich today. Go to make her lunch this morning and no sliced pan
we had lots of bread products - wraps/pitta/burger buns/slimbos but only a wholemeal spelt sliced pan which I know she wouldn't eat
so she's having oatcakes spread with cheese triangle and ham today.
Loving the talk about libraries. We have a mobile one in the village for two hours per week but it's while dd is at school. The next one is in the town 13 miles away, they open 5.5 days but tues & thurs until 8pm so I'm going to bring the dc every second week. They can each take out up to 12 books but I haven't joined up ds and have let my own membership lapse as I can use dd's if I wish. It is the main county library so is in no danger of closing down. The recipe book is a great idea, what I do is download a sample to kindle and then decide if it's one I want. Going to put in requests for a few recipe books for Christmas this year. Happy Pear, Little Green Spoon, Roz Purcell to name a few. All Irish authors.
agenie if it doesn't out you I'd love to see a pic of that library in a phone box that sounds fabulous.
We recently put up a new postbox which is like the old style An Post ones in Ireland see pic! The postman isn't using it
Would afterschools work for you girlie what time do you have to go in the morning? There are breakfast clubs and afterschool clubs in my village, far cheaper than childcare, but they don't start early enough for me going to work. I foresee us needing an au pair/childcare until dd starts secondary school in 7 years. Then ds could go to afterschools and she would be there in the morning and able to call him to get up, at 13 years I think this would be ok
