cag I cried like a baby at war horse. It was sad. But also lovely. Best horse.

I still haven't gotten over Marley and me. I did not see that coming. Best dog ever!!!

Today should be nsd. I'm staying home. I appear to have a bit of a cold. So tea toast and tv I think today.

Dh is going to catch up with friends this afternoon.

He's lost his car keys. Hasn't seen them since Monday. Has asked to borrow mine but insists on taking the car key off the key ring. I've said no. Find your keys. I know he hasn't looked for them. I also know he doesn't use key rings/fobs. Just loose keys. Aahhhh

Morning, so I was reading mr money moustache and I'm going to take his advice...I have a new car on finance, 2 years down payment of £1000 then £160 a month, change the car after the two yeas. Well, I've since got a new job and the drive to work is easier, also youngest is starting school, so won't be taking her to CM each day (Dh can take them to school). This means, I think I should use/find £5000 to buy a second hand small car and save/find £1000 for car expenses. (Hypothetically, if I then keep the car for 10 years I'll have saved myself 30 odd grand!)

Anyway, I've planning to do today so hopefully a no spend day.
Great new about pram.
Hope for gets better.
What's the name of the children's books?

lilacclery · 04/09/2016 08:22

Trying I also have a glut of apples to do something with today.
Wreck I thought it was your nose you hurt, I missed you hurting your foot Shock
Lost my post yesterday
I was in bed from 5-7pm yesterday & as a result up until 12.30am frugal win though didn't attend an engagement party as a result.
Hadn't the money anyhow, due to holiday pay unpaid holiday time no overtime & stopping my second job I was down over €100 this week

WreckTangled · 04/09/2016 08:23

I didn't realise I had hurt my food either!

Ememem84 · 04/09/2016 08:44

lilac make a pie. Or a tarte-tatin. Yum. Caramelly apples!

lilacclery · 04/09/2016 09:25

ShockShockwreck
I'm going to make apple bread & butter pudding em and possibly apple sauce for making muffins & who knows what else. Tarte Tatin won't work in with my diet Grin

Ememem84 · 04/09/2016 09:46

lilac but it's Sunday? The day of rest and no dieting! Wink X

Apple b&b pud sounds yum!!!

ItalianWiking84 · 04/09/2016 10:45

Our pram is being delivered Tuesday, can't wait. It's such a nice pram, just need to figure out if we should sell our old one now or wait a bit, dd will need her pram for naps at least 4 months after baby dd is born so need to think about the best way of doing it.

Spend so fare today is 35£ on petrol.

Poor you wreck, Flowers

We don't have slimming world here so no idea what the deal is with it, we have weight watchers as the only weight loss group as fare as I know. I'm not the skinniest but always just been normal weight, gained so fare 6 kg in the pregnancy so think it's quite normal.

Lifelong: congrats on the dining set
Creme: I hate painting, I'm so happy my best friend and her dp are painters, so they do most of our painting ect in and around the house. Dh is always quite good at it so he has done some of our rooms walls...

Cag: you can defn be proud of your dd, well done of her standing up for herself and others. I would prop not say anything to the parent, but try let them sort it, but if the girl continue saying things similar I would prop then mention it.

Em: lovely of your mom to bring treats, I love the packets that dh gets send from his parents, full of Asian and Dutch goodies...

Collie, I'd like to know where the light-up ball is from too.

Wreck, suitcases sound like a great idea. We got Eastpak ones from Amazon, they come in lots of different colours and seem to be great value.

I think I've we've been spending like it's going out of fashion recently, so we haven't been saving as much as we should have been. I think it's time to get back on the wagon!

SnugglySnerd · 04/09/2016 11:19

DD has a lovely light up ball that she was given last Xmas, it was from Next. I've also seen some in the gift shop at a NT property.

WreckTangled · 04/09/2016 11:30

Thanks space it is a great idea isn't it Grin

Ds' spare car seat just got delivered and I'm getting crafty with the box. I'm not artistic at all...

Colliefeatures · 04/09/2016 11:37

Hello everyone! I bought the light up ball from The Range for £1.50. It's about the size of orange and bouncy. It's not too soft though but still good for rolling. Last year when DS was just under 2 he used to sit down at one end of the hallway and I would roll it down to him and he'd try and roll it back. So cute! It helped him learn to walk as he'd chase it! Now he runs around chasing it.

I have had a beautiful morning with DH and DS. We went to the beach and had a refreshing mizzly walk. Then had smoothies after. £6 spent in total.

No more spends for the day.

Hope your foot is OK wreck

Colliefeatures · 04/09/2016 11:39

Snuggly that's the ball we had last year. With glitter and a pirate inside! No idea where it went though. We'll find it when we move house Grin

ItalianWiking84 · 04/09/2016 11:54

Went to lidl who had organic clothes on sale, got 4 body's, 3 pair of socks, 2 pair of stockings and 1 night suit for 24£, so very pleased with that.

WreckTangled · 04/09/2016 11:57

It's work in progress...

Colliefeatures · 04/09/2016 12:06

Looks good wreck!

Forgot I had to get squirty cream for hot chocs Brew

Unescorted · 04/09/2016 12:13

Morning all.
snuggly glad you had a better sleep.
wreck hope you are feeling a bit better. My sports physio ( makes me sound like the athlete that I 'm not) always tells me that I need to put ice on it and take ibroprofen & paracetamol to get the swelling down / prevent it swelling in the first place.
Tart Tartin .... I am going to have to go to the shop to get apples now....

Methenyouplus4 · 04/09/2016 13:13

Only £1 spend today (no more planned) as eldest needed £7 for tie for rugby (to wear for club talks etc) but sold x2 old skirts for £6. Realised DS needs rugby fees £55 and loafs of Scouts trips/events coming up that are £££. Have said we'll look at cost and he'll have to decide which he wants to do. He has a theme park this weekend with Scouts that I thought was already paid for so need to find £40 for that.

With the car repairs etc I think that we're going to end up in (none free part of) overdraftSad. It's frustrating because we'very pretty much stuck to budget but not saved enough in buffer yet (should have by next month) for such extras.Sad

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/09/2016 15:27

Hi all Smile

Wreck if your foot is hurting that much and given you're diabetic I would def think it needs checking and poss an x.ray.

I am tired (just for a change Wink) its been a busy wend so far and quite spendy Hmm So ystd my oldest friend popped in on her way back from Cornwall with her family. I had picked up some extra food in Lidls for a nice lunch so that was £35, got loads for that though and lots of extra pack lunch bits as well. Was lovely to see her and catch up Smile

I went out last night for my best friends bday, only spent £7.50 on drinks so not too bad.

Todays spends;
£18 on 2 bags of cat food (was on offer half price)
£10 on plants
£25 on more slate for the front garden
£10 pe kit for dd
£45 on petrol

Really need to get a bit of a grip on spending, tomorrow will aim for a NSD and will also put some bits on fb to sell.

Fluffy any ideas why my boy cat would pee by the side of the litter tray rather than inside it?? Confused Was lovely coming down to that this morning Hmm

WreckTangled · 04/09/2016 15:50

It's ok today girlie my hip on the other hand BlushGrin

I'm making a chilli and tortilla lasagne. Hope it's nice. Might have had a bit of a nap on the sofa too....

I've got a baby shower and hen do to plan. Trying not to make it expensive for myself

ItalianWiking84 · 04/09/2016 15:54

My parents have very kindly paid 250£ towards the pram, very generous of them. Means that we atm have 700£ in saving. So less an impact there as expected...

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/09/2016 16:11

Gah still not got enough slate! Flipping heck it's taken loads more than I thought it would, the front garden isn't even that big Shock reckon will need at least another 4 bags, so much for my NSD tomos....

CremeEggThief · 04/09/2016 16:12

Glad you're feeling better today, Wreck.

Very kind of your parents, Italian.

Another NSD. My ceiling needs another coat of paint, but I'll leave it until I've got an extended roller and I've got enough energy and enthusiasm back, which might take a couple of weeks.

CremeEggThief · 04/09/2016 16:14

Girlie, your slate story reminds me of when I decided to cover my tiny front garden in bark. It was on offer at £1.99 a bag from Lidl, but I still needed over 20 bags in the end. I think I estimated 10 bags as generous, before starting it!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 04/09/2016 17:30

Ha Creme when I first decided to go with slate (which is the same as my neighbours) I thought 'oh 4 bags should cover it' Hmm think it will be closer to 20 by the time its done Shock

Just logged onto Scottish Power and put in my meter readings which has put me £114 in credit!! Pleased with that Halo

Collie and 8 do you both pay a service charge? I'm meant to be paying one but don't think its been taken out of my account yet.... have emailed someone as don't want to suddenly get stung for 3 months worth!
