I've got 2 more for my list
12. Sort electricity out when GB energy increases price
13. Change bank to get cash back or rewards

lilacclery · 01/08/2016 21:44

Loving the to do lists for the month
Will make one tomorrow, heading to bed now.

ipsogenix · 02/08/2016 00:45

Em I was thinking about the dizziness thing you're getting and I think they key is to describe it really clearly and in detail for the GP. Dizziness could mean a mildly wobbly feeling in the brain, or the whole world spinning when you shut your eyes. If it's the latter, then they want to know if it only spins in one direction and whether that changes when you tilt your head. Also do you also see the world spinning or do you just feel it, while the image stays still? The information about going to fair is really very useful. I think if you can give lots of this kind of detail it will really help.

Forgot to turn my 5am alarm off as I have the week off work. Sad wouldn't be so bad but it woke both dc up.

We're going to arundel castle today will be about £20 to get in £5 parking. Taking a picnic but might buy coffee.

lilacclery · 02/08/2016 06:30

Aww wreck that's awful, I often let my alarm go off just to let me know I can stay in bed for hours longer!! But waking the Dc is a disaster

Ememem84 · 02/08/2016 07:05

Omg best. Sleep ever last nigh. No idea why.

Should be nsd today.

ItalianWiking84 · 02/08/2016 08:55

ItalianWiking84 · 02/08/2016 08:55

Ursulatodd · 02/08/2016 09:06

Pregnancy insomnia here Brew!

Fairly spendy day yesterday: £15.09 dylon; £26.80 xmas gifts; £34.85 groceries; £3.88 cafe; £52.75 ikea; £3.95 postage.

Am hoping for a NSD today!

Envelope system is really interesting...have budgeted £60 for groceries and activities this week. I have about £20 left - already wondering how I will make it stretch!

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/08/2016 09:52

Speedy day before I even get dressed. £11 football socks, £504 on euros (exchange rate is shit should have got them in June), £200 into Christmas / birthday savings but that should have enough in now. Dh needs holiday stuff so a trip to matalan is in the offing and also need fuel which will be about £50

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/08/2016 10:13

Spendy not speedy, stupid iPad

Tryingtosaveup · 02/08/2016 10:28

Speedy day here too. DGCs coming to stay from tomorrow so going food shopping for them checked cupboards and have all ingredients for the crunchy biscuits I am going to make with DGD ....oats and raisins ....recipe from this thread.
Chopped and frozen home grown runner beans, green peppers and cherry tomatoes for winter stews in slow cooker. Aim to have enough for all winter stews.
Then off to gym. ( don't want to go😧) .

Whataboutwhathuh · 02/08/2016 10:31

I've just spent an hour fixing my YNAB. I was budgeting in July instead of August. I started fresh and have moved enough money into our current account to cover the whole of August. So even though dh gets paid on the 25th we won't start using that money until 1st September. I'm hoping at the start of September it will all make sense!

It's rainy and horrible here and dh got up to go to a meeting at 5am, long travel day for him. I think we will stay home and veg.

Colliefeatures · 02/08/2016 11:07

Trying to have a NSD here but the last two NSDs have been failures.

It's like Autumn here. Windy, gloomy, heavy rain and chilly!

Someone just walked past wearing wooly tights, skirt and winter boots. Grin

Cagliostro · 02/08/2016 11:09

Signing back in before it drops off TIO, was at mum's for a few nights. :)

Go trying you will feel better after a workout.

Taytocrisps · 02/08/2016 12:16

Had three NSDs in a row! The trick to not spending seems to be to stay at home and not set foot outside the house Grin.

Got my hair colour topped up today (€37) and spent €7.46 on a top up shop.

A drizzly day today so I'm having a movie day with DD. We're watching 'Beaches' shortly.

ItalianWiking84 · 02/08/2016 12:19

So groceries and stuff for baking was 70£. They were on membership deals in coop for the baking stuff so got loads of different types of baking.
We have sunshine and approx 25 degrees which is not bad for Denmark Smile

needastrongone · 02/08/2016 12:47

Good luck for the check up Italian.

Like the list idea, I will post one when I get home.

It's averaging 35 degrees here Smile. Haven't had a drop of rain yet, which is very unusual in Florida as it's rainy season.

Went to Seaworld yesterday. My favourite park. Just to pretty and well thought out. Islands of Adventure the day before was mental. We got on all the rides yesterday, including the big massive coasters with no queues. Fed mantas and stroked sharks. Had our evening meal in the Sharks Grill, which is a restaurant where the whole wall on one side is a massive aquarium. So watched sawfish and sharks all manner of fish swimming by as we ate.

Too hot to eat during the day here, so we are having breakfast, and then an iced coffee or similar and waiting to eat until night.

BertieTodd · 02/08/2016 14:34

Sounds like a fab holiday Need. DS is only 1 but I'm already looking forward to really exciting hols like that in the future; good motivation for frugality now too Smile.

Spends today:
Bikini wax €25
Lunch: €5

Need to do grocery shopping this afternoon too.

Tryingtosaveup · 02/08/2016 14:55

Thanks for the encouragement Lifelong, I went and, you are right. I feel much better ( also feel smug not good).
Got form for nectar card so will fill that in. Did someone say I can pretend to be a company and get more points?
Spent £35.13 in Aldi on lots of food for DGCs. I was surprised at the range they have. I always shop there but tend to buy the same stuff. Hadn't really noticed the stuff the grandkids will eat.
Needs, sounds like you're having a brilliant time in Florida. Enjoy because it's wet and cold here.
Washing hung on maiden inside.
When we get a new thread my list will disappear😔

WreckTangled · 02/08/2016 15:41

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/08/2016 16:37

Did the cake come on a solid gold plate? Grin

Trying It was the erewards scheme that you could sign up to but it's invite only & I can't find the link. I think they closed it.

£39 hair
£5 tip

Lots of free food for kids on checkoutsmart. It's probably on quidco clicksnap and topcashback snap n save too.

WreckTangled · 02/08/2016 16:46

Unfortunately not. The bowl of soup was £5.50!

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/08/2016 16:56

blimey thats expensive wreck
hope the check up has gone OK italian.

have cancelled my pt sessions so instead of £100 it will be £20 for last weeks which is a frugal win but a physical fail as my prolapse has reappeared (tmi sorry).I have signed up to Michelle Kenway's free site though after MN recommendation so hopeful of some tailored exercises and then just spinning and light weights at the gym. sigh - bloody big dc

Have been slowly clearing out the dc old toys and clothes but they dont want to get rid of anything, although i'm gradually filtering stuff out. I can live with that for now and have some stuff to ebay in the pre Christmas toy sales.
£7.87 in the co op on a disappointing magazine and some yogurts. i was going to renew the subscription but i'm not now. Got a pressie for MIL for christmas / birthday as the pears shower gel was reduced to 57p.
