Oh gosh babs poor ds and poor you.

Hope everything is ok!

Baking now. Dark chocolate and sour cherrie cookies. Not the more frugal of recipes. The cherries were expensive. But. Delicious.

Cagliostro · 12/06/2016 14:47

Oh no Babs :( big hugs. Hope he's ok, and you too. It may be just the build up of circumstances like this getting you down, but either way, nowt wrong with asking the GP. I've been on and off ADs for (OMG just realised this) over half my life now (I'm 29!) and actually this time for the first time ever they seem to be working. Even though I've been on Sertraline twice before, this time it's really helping me. :) Anyway, always here if you need a friendly ear. Thanks

babsmam · 12/06/2016 14:48

He's fine, badly bruised and no school tomorrow. Got a head injury card

CremeEggThief · 12/06/2016 15:01

Gosh, sorry to hear that, Babs. I think a day off will set him right. Take it as easy as you can for the rest of today and tomorrow BrewCake.

ipsogenix · 12/06/2016 15:03

Glad that was sorted Babs Take care there. Sounds like you need some time off.

PurpleRibbons · 12/06/2016 15:46

We've been baking too. Apple and oat muffins. DH has now taken DD out to jump in puddles. I can't get going today, really tired. Planned to sleep while DD napped but she didn't nap today.

WreckTangled · 12/06/2016 15:50

Phew babs glad he's ok.

Love a coloured pair of skinny jeans! Might get some... Only have black grey and blue at the moment.

I've just hoovered downstairs so feel like I've done something today at least.

Unescorted · 12/06/2016 16:14

Awww babs have a hug.... sounds if lots of little things are adding up to a big stress.

I have been knitting - finished the cardi I have been working on and have done a couple of moustaches for a weekend of cyclecar racing at the end of June.... Silliness is the order of the day so I am making everyone in the team & pit crew some facial hair except the one person who has their own.

babsmam · 12/06/2016 16:52

Thanks guys. I think it's a combination of things and work stress. I'm writing lists for next weekend's party . Lists soothe me.
Em love the pink skinnies, especially with the socks Grin
Well done on doing something wreck. Sometimes it's the little things that make the difference.
Would love to see the silly cycling unescorted. I'm a mamil widow so may suggest it for the next event.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 12/06/2016 17:17

Glad he's OK babs.

Do you think the feeling down is just a blip or something a bit more long term? Definitely worth going back to the GP if it seems to be lasting.

WreckTangled · 12/06/2016 17:46

I love a list too.

Dh really winds me up with his hatred of healthy food. I've just put dinner on the table (quiche, potato salad and a selection of salad bits) and he's refusing to have any salad (always does). I think he should be setting the dc a good example and appreciate what I make Angry

Ememem84 · 12/06/2016 18:12

Have accidentally started bidding on things on eBay.

Dress from Hobbs - which I had my eye on but it was £90. My max bid is £15.

A dress from oasis. Again had my eye on it in the shop but wasn't sure if it would suit. It's yellow. Just won the auction for £2.50. So if it doesn't look good it's not too much of an issue.

And a polo shirt for riding.

Have sorted out about £70 worth of stuff to take back to the shop tomorrow.

Cagliostro · 12/06/2016 18:13

yes I agree!

If DH can make himself eat cauliflower for the sake of being a good role model then your DH can eat salad!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/06/2016 18:16

Hi all, sorry to hear that babs about you and your ds, scooters can be a liability at times. Dd has a scar on her forehead from where she went over the handles of her scooter and managed to land on a street sign!

Have had a nice day here, picked up my d'nephew this morning and took him and dd to the kids club at the cinema. They watched Snoopy which didn't do much for me but they seemed to enjoy Grin I'm looking forward to the BFG coming out - that looks brilliant! My mum paid for the tickets but was only £2.50 each so pretty cheap.

We went over to the arcades briefly afterwards and spent about £4 on the machines, then they had a MacDonalds for lunch spent about £10 in total. Was a bit of a treat for them as I don't have my nephew very often.

Am starting to think about childcare for the summer hols, no idea how I am going to pay for it as will need a lot due to increase in work hours. Last summer only worked 3 days a week compared to 4 now, am looking at at least 3 weeks of childcare at approx £30 a day so roughly 12 x £30 = £360 if my maths is about right? May need to rob a bank!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/06/2016 18:19

Wreck that would wind me up as well, I forced myself to eat healthier when I had dd and actually now enjoy things like avocado which I wouldn't have touched with a barge pole before. My mum tells me your have to try something at least 3 times before you can say you don't like it!!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 12/06/2016 18:24

It's not even that he doesn't like it he just doesn't love it so cba to eat it. I'll have to start putting it onto his plate for him and take away the choice Hmm

babsmam · 12/06/2016 18:30

That would peeve me too wreck.
DM has come to the childcare rescue. It was looking like unpaid leave at one point.

They asked if he was wearing a helmet (not for the one time i forgot it) so I got a lecture about that. Until I pointed out a helmet wouldn't protect his chin. To much hilarity and a fair enough. I love our local hospital staff

Cagliostro · 12/06/2016 18:32

I need to seriously avoid ebay and amazon for a while now!

I'm very glad I did get the other maths resources recently though. I'm using one in my lesson plan tomorrow :) should be hands on and not pressured so hopefully it'll work well.

babsmam · 12/06/2016 18:41

Nice bargains em

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/06/2016 19:02

NSD.

Glad he's ok bab Probably shocked as much as anything.

PurpleRibbons · 12/06/2016 19:23

Yes pleased he's ok babs.
Great bargains Em, I love Oasis but can never afford it except the sale.
Wreck that would annoy me too. A friend of ours eats no veg at all except for the tomatoes and mushrooms in a fry up! He makes a right fuss about them even being on his plate. I want to tell him to grow up!

needastrongone · 12/06/2016 19:27

Babs Flowers. Your poor DS. Never rains but pours eh? Hope you are feeling a touch more positive.

Been out a big international horse trials this weekend. Lovely place and very close to home.

The team came 3rd overall, which is a super result, but they lost their heads a bit this afternoon as they ought to have got 2nd.

Spends.
£35 - Top from Joules.
£60 - Sports boots for Dpony.
£15 A winter hat, with detachable bobble, in a baby blue.

CremeEggThief · 12/06/2016 19:49

Congratulations to your DD and team, NeedStar.

babsmam · 12/06/2016 20:06

Ah fantastic need, need dd and team

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/06/2016 20:15
