I think our local authority one is £30 or £26 for a more limited one.

I just went and got a swimming only one which is £18 a month which will give me unlimited use of the pool and some of the swimming classes. Their redesigned website is spectacularly unhelpful though. It used to tell you exactly what was included. Now it just has a price list with 'some activities are included with an aqua membership Hmm

babsmam · 10/06/2016 20:28

I've signed up for a no frills gym at 9.99 a month. Council gym is £22, 25 or 32 a month. Gyms here range from £10 to £50 a month. I would love a pt especially one who understands post child birth bodies. Tis an investment.
Love the walls. Our stairs were meant to be a similar colour but didn't work. What shade/ brand is it?
I like the chair and think it would be lovely. I bet the peacock one is nice too.
Nsd today

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/06/2016 20:33

Farrow & Ball brassica.

£10 is a bargain Envy

WreckTangled · 10/06/2016 20:40

Wow babs that is amazing!

CremeEggThief · 10/06/2016 20:42

I had a raised ticket reply from Topcashback about the delayed cashback that was supposed to be paid within 12 weeks from the 18th February, and it was feeble. It was clear they've made no attempt to look in to it. So I commented it wasn't acceptable and surely they could chase them up. I've also emailed the company to complain. I am sick of the poor customer service we put up with in this country!

babsmam · 10/06/2016 21:09

Xercise4less. They are a national chain. Ours opens end July

WreckTangled · 10/06/2016 21:14

None near me unfortunately as it looks brilliant!

Ememem84 · 10/06/2016 22:35

Ok quick catch up:

Love the colour

Chair is fab - buy it!!!

Riding lessons are a bonus and even more so if you can get Dd to help at the stables.

Spends today - £16 on a bottle of wine and dinner out with lovely friend at local creperie. Cheese ham and mushroom gallettes and une gaufre avec chocolat et marshmallows for dessert. (Waffle with chocolate buttons sauce and marshmallows). And a bottle of rose to share. Win.

(Is ovulation pain a thing? I'm according to my app doing that right now and I feel sick and tummy hurts. Apparently Google tells me that's what it could be...unlikely to be pg as nothing has happened for a while...)

Tryingtosaveup · 10/06/2016 22:41

i love the colour too. I think I might get it for the new bathroom when I get it fitted....which is one of the things I am saving up for.
I like the chair too but I can see that you might get tired of the colour. But you could say that about any colour....go on be brave, make a statement and buy it!

Cagliostro · 10/06/2016 23:11

Yep I get ovulation pain. Sucks.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 10/06/2016 23:42

Definitely a thing. I used to get it.

WreckTangled · 11/06/2016 06:54

I didn't think level 3 of the shred was too bad but I hurt this morning!

Spendy morning. Picking up food shopping at about £80 and going into town but Dh is giving me some money. Need to print some photos for the Father's Day book and get some cards. Might go into sports direct as need a bag and some shorts or 3/4 length leggings.

babsmam · 11/06/2016 07:19

Ah shame there isn't one near you wreck.
Second day aches are the worst after fitness. Keep gently moving.
Yes to ovulation pain em

Dentist this morning, third time lucky as her daughter had been ill the last couple. Can't be helped. Then probably town. Don't have a hair style for first communion next week and ds "needs" a new football strip apparently.
Yesterday was hideous in the end £84 vets, £130 car, £54 on something else but I forget

Ememem84 · 11/06/2016 07:53

Ah. Good. Glad it IS a thing. And it sucks. Sad but I guess not much I can do about it except wait it out and just get on with stuff.

Went to bed last night without removing my make up. So look a bit panda-like now.

Today's spends £25 riding.

SpaceKablooie · 11/06/2016 10:27

I bloody love w/es. We've had croissants for breakfast, and I'm making bread now.

I might buy some things for the house later Smile.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/06/2016 11:20

Hi all, happy wend Smile

Em yes i get that sometime, it can be really painful.

Went out last night, was a works colleagues leaving do. Went to an all you can eat Chinese buffet place was amazing!! I completely stuffed myself, all the food was so good and the selections of puddings was incredible as well Grin spent £21 so not too bad really.

Plan for wend is dds riding lesson later which mum has paid for, then a local fete and will probably watch the footie tonight!

Tomorrow going to take dd and her cousin to the kids club at the cinema, they want to watch Snoopy!

Probably should start packing at some point as well Hmm

There is a whiff of cat pee around here that I can't find the source of - grr

Cagliostro · 11/06/2016 12:52

I get ovulation pain at ovulation (obviously) but also seem to get it during AF as well, just briefly. Bodies are weird.

Ipso I forgot to mention ages ago (still haven't quite caught up!) thank you for the advice about electronics materials. I was thinking I could get DS particularly excited by introducing the concept of transformers, as he loves the toys/cartoons Wink (we're going to do transformations in maths too).

And Purple thank you I did enjoy Birmingham! Definitely want to go back, as we didn't have much time there. The big church by the shopping centre was quite a haven in the middle of a very busy place! We sat and looked at it while waiting for my friend, but it was even lovelier in the evening when we left dinner, and it was all lit up. We only did city type stuff (DH took the DCs to ThinkTank, which they LOVED, and I just wandered in the shops a little as I was knackered) but we want to do stuff like the canals, Sarehole Mill etc. Probably in cooler weather though as I was really struggling in the heat (the walk to my friend's flat was further than I thought, and it really set off a bad couple of days pain-wise). But yes it was lovely.

Loved Leicester as well, lovely city to wander round. Holiday Inn there was fab as well, think I'm a convert as it wasn't much more expensive than the Travelodge, and the food/service/rooms were all much nicer, plus the swimming pool! :)

I've got a bunch of people coming to my first group class next week... OMG! Thankfully DH is off that day so it's a bit less scary more help to to tidy up in the morning :)

PurpleRibbons · 11/06/2016 13:14

Just checking in, had a busy couple of days so just caught up with the thread.
Pleased you enjoyed Birmingham Cag. I live very near Sarehole Mill and haven't been for years. I think it's free entry, I should take DD. That area is one of the places where Tolkein got the inspiration for LOTR. Nearby is Moseley Bog which is a nice place for a walk.
I am exhausted today, not sure why. I did go out last night for a drink but I was home by 10 and in bed by half past. Just having a little rest while DD has her nap.

Cagliostro · 11/06/2016 13:25

I'd heard that - it's why we particularly want to go there! :) DH is a massive Tolkien fan :) and DS would love to see a proper watermill as well. With the canal apparently there's one where you actually go into a limestone cavern in a boat! How cool is that!? :o And then there's the back to back museum or something as well. I need to figure out a better way of staying up there though - 4 nights in hotels was too much really. But not being coastal there aren't any holiday parks like Haven etc. I guess it'd be some kind of apartment.

Pondering a trip to Stratford upon Avon though - there's a mechanical art museum which looks great (DD is reading the Invention of Hugo Cabret at the moment and I find automata fascinating) and obviously there's the Shakespeare stuff.

Still, the priority now is a trip abroad. We do love our little UK trips and the DCs certainly learn a lot from them too, but it is so hideously expensive!

PurpleRibbons · 11/06/2016 13:28

Yes the Back to Back houses are brilliant, run by NT and you can only visit on a guided tour but well worth it as is the museum of the Jewellery Quarter.
Stratford is a good day out too. Apart from all the Shakespeare stuff there are river trips and the butterfly farm is lovely.

Cagliostro · 11/06/2016 13:44

Oooh butterflies! Have never been to a butterfly farm! Thank you :o

PurpleRibbons · 11/06/2016 13:57

Cag I am sure there are serviced apartments in Birmingham. Also you can hire rooms in some of the student accommodation during uni holidays, most of it in Birmingham is brand new, all en suite etc and in the city centre. Would that be better than a hotel?

WreckTangled · 11/06/2016 14:23

Spent loads in town. £1.50 parking. £38 h&m £3 something card factory £?? In boots can't even remember about £8 then £44 in sports direct.

Picked up the food shopping that was £79 but included £6 worth of cakes to take into work next week for my birthday plus £5 on three bottles of cider.

Meal plan:

Chicken burgers in buns with salad
Quiche with new potatoes and salad
Pasta and sauce
Cod with new potatoes
Veggie korma (cauliflower, yellow pepper, celery, tomatoes, peas)
Freezer food (goujons and chips swimming night)
Falafel and salad wraps

It's been a week since I last ate meat (although I've had some jelly babies GrinBlush).

Cagliostro · 11/06/2016 14:59

wow didn't know that thank you! Would be particularly good as there's also a museum on campus that we'd like to visit (geology) if/when it reopens.

Ememem84 · 11/06/2016 16:12

Aah. Just tried to change my easyjet flight for next week to London. I booked hold baggage as thought I'd have a hat to carry as hand luggage. Dh also doesn't want to carry hold luggage.

But I can't get a refund on it!!! Waaaaaaaaa
