Productive morning. Been at work since just after 8. Have caught up from last week, interviewed someone for my team (total suprise that was....just dragged into the room), have worked worked worked and have just popped out. £2.40 on a sandwich, posted my things and have got about £60 back from my Israel money. Yay. Also returned a skirt so now have a £22 gift card for new look - I paid via PayPal so they had to gift card me Smile

cag the coins are in the post! I hope they help Dd.

lilacclery · 10/05/2016 13:53

Woo hoo cag that's brilliant news!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/05/2016 14:12

Ooo nice little windfall Cag brilliant news!

Had a good morning, met friend for coffee and we decided on a gift for a work colleague who is leaving put £10 in towards the gift. Friend also treated me to coffee which was nice of her.

£2.40 parking (this has gone up by 40p which I was less than impressed about!)

Then went out to Sainsburys and bought a lot of summer clothes for our holiday. Spent £110 but had a £12 off voucher so actual spend was £98 and have got about 16 items of clothes for that so feel quite pleased. Dd has yet to see what I have got for her so some of it might be going back anyway Hmm

Morrisons shop being delivered tonight £41 need to have a look through the freezer and start thinking about meal planning.

Whataboutwhathuh · 10/05/2016 14:13

I've just done an online tesco order - £31. I'm trying some value products and I hope they are ok. I managed to get my shopping to almost exactly £40 and then had an £8 voucher and one of the items had a voucher to make it free. I booked a £1 slot so I'm pleased with that.

lilacclery · 10/05/2016 14:26

what just be careful with some of the value items as they can be more expensive than the tesco brand itselfGrin just on one or two items.

I spent a lot of money on shopping last week - we are now out of fruit - fresh and tinned, mayonnaise, ketchup, low on sliced pan and shopping day is Thurs evening. How does this happen?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/05/2016 14:38

Lila tell me about it, I think I forget that dd is the size of a small adult now and eats a fair bit Grin I was looking at her this morning thinking she looks like she has grown again Shock

I am reading some of the threads about SATs and they are making me feel sick, if I could take dd out of school for the whole of year 6 right now I would. I bloody hate this Government Angry

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/05/2016 14:43

Cag that is bloody brilliant I am so pleased for you Star. Packaged bank account fees next?.

Wreck Is the shred causing your hypos?.

Dont I used to do that with doms, it's makes much more sense. Otherwise your running all over the place. Are they paying mileage?.

50p smart price shampoo. I use it as delicate wash for the washing machine.
20p smart price stuffing.

£15 petrol

£33.62 two cleansers and a coffee storage jar in John Lewis. I had a £5 voucher so it should have been £38.

Kidstart have paid me £10.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 10/05/2016 14:48

Fluffy yes I get milage. Not sure how much though. Girlie do you have any idea what nhs milage is per mile, roughly?

This morning I sat and looked at my bank accounts and what not... I then randomly made a one off payment to credit card of 585. It's now down to 1200. I've paid off nearly 8/900 this month.

Although I hate seeing my savings dwindle I'm trying to think of it positively.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/05/2016 14:53

Dont I think its about 42p a mile or thereabouts, I normally get about £200 a month millage so well worth having.

WreckTangled · 10/05/2016 15:56

Cag that's amazing!

Fluffy no it's not as I can reduce my basal for a couple of hours when I do that. My insulin to carb ratios have suddenly dropped by 50% it just doesn't make sense! Also waking up low so have been reducing overnight, I know what I'm doing but it's nice to have someone help you along the way.

£4.50 in tesco on liquid smoke, jelly babies and tampons.

I have really badly separated stomach muscles I can get my fingers between them

needastrongone · 10/05/2016 16:03

Hi again Ohhelp, lovely to see you again. Yes to the rouge 5%. I guess how you view it depends on your circumstances. Being frugal can mean spending on nice stuff occasionally, being frugal to pay off debt, then splurging, not so good Smile

Ursula What did your cleaner text back when you text her? Might be the shot across the bows she needed.

Cag Brill news, well done.

NSD.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/05/2016 16:12

Wreck Bugger. I thought having a pump was meant to stop all this for patients. Do you still get warning your going hypo?.

WreckTangled · 10/05/2016 16:26

Yes I do luckily! It's just so weird how it's all changed so suddenly

babsmam · 10/05/2016 16:39

Collie have you tried discussing the job with employers and associated money.
Wreck, my dB had massive issues with his pump and one time it was blocked, another there was a kink in the line. I'm sure you know your stuff as most type 1ers do but that really knocked him.
Result on the PPI cag
Ursula did the cleaner do all her jobs?

Collie I meant to add, do you think it's you just getting up to speed again, after a period of time out of the work place? It can take a while to adjust.

needastrongone · 10/05/2016 16:59

Oh sorry, my internet is on a go slow!

CremeEggThief · 10/05/2016 17:30

Collie, I thought the same as Need, when I read your post earlier. Hang in there!

Cag, excellent news!Grin I'm still waiting to hear back about mine.

Babs, was it you who had a bit of a splurge in Matalan at the weekend? It was my turn today! I got 3 pairs of shoes, school trousers and a couple of pairs of trainer socks for £38! So that's my summer footwear sorted. Also stopped by Aldi for a top-up that cost £5.40. Total spends: £7 cash for my bus fare and £43.40 on card.

My fence screening came today and I also got £16.57 through PayPal for my recent Ziffit order and a cheque for £43.35 from Virgin trains, for our delayed journey home from London on Easter Monday. Just a bit longer than the 14 working days they aim for, then, but at least it's here now.Smile

Welcome back to OhhelpSmile.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/05/2016 17:41

Excellent result there creme! Good for you claiming against Virgin Trains. I wonder how much they make from people not claiming? Bet it's loads.

Ursula I never understand self employed people who don't put the effort in, if you lose clients how will you pay your bills?.

babsmam · 10/05/2016 17:45

It was me yes crème but I didn't get as many bargains as you. Well done on your refunds/compo. Hope the screening works.
Need has a point collie it may just be a settling in period.

£9.45 for a huge deep conditioner. It should last all year.

needastrongone · 10/05/2016 18:21

I like the 'Birkenstocks' Creme, very versatile. Smile
