Need I used to get charged by two Hanoverians & the trakhener when I went to get the Arab/thoroughbred pony out. They were all 16h 2 and over. They'd veer off right at the last minute.

Wreck Write to the financial ombudsman, Barclays are hoping you'll fuck off but the ombudsman can overrule them. Especially if you were in hardship at the time.

Karcheer Welcome.

First of all you need to a food audit and find out what you have so you can meal plan effectively.

Then shop for 7 nights, lunches plus snacks. Put it all into mysupermarket.com and it will tell you the cheapest supermarket to shop at. It'll probably be Aldi.

Buy the staples in big bags eg pasta shapes, rice and teabags. It's much cheaper than little packets.

Don't buy branded, the own brand and smart price stuff is just as nice.

Moneysavingexpert reckons the products people are least likely to change brand on are household detergents. I don't buy them because they still test on animals so I use own brand products instead.

The Aldi powders come out equal or ahead of Aerial in Which? Consumer tests.

WreckTangled · 26/04/2016 15:55

Thanks fluffy. I feel like you're standing on the line waving your Pom poms at me Grin I'll do it.

Colliefeatures · 26/04/2016 16:12

wreck definitely contact the financial ombudsman!

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2016 17:00

Spends.

£15 petrol.
£20 superking size summer duvet, you've got to admire my optimism if nothing else.
£1.60 two marked down loaves and crisps.

Tried to buy charcoal using nectar points in homebase but you have to redeem a minimum of £10 in there. The assistant was most shocked that I put it back.

Ziffit accepted all but one DVD so I'll get £18 back from them.

Bank account looking healthy but I've been putting everything onto my Tesco cc so it will soon be much diminished.

CremeEggThief · 26/04/2016 17:13

Fluffy, no need for a summer duvet up here just yet. We actually had some SNOW today!Shock Any around your way, Need and Babs (and any others in the north east or Yorkshire)? It's gone already, thankfully, but it's absolutely bitter out there; the wind chill is making it feel like zero at best! Brr!

Spends: £4.60 bus fares, to and from the dentist, for DS's check-up and £4.80, posting 3 eBay items. The dentist said it's nearly healed now, so hopefully that's that.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2016 17:22

How is he feeling creme?

WreckTangled · 26/04/2016 17:25

We had snow in the south of England today!!

Ffs fucking sky have put their price up and I'm stuck in contract until September. I should have cancelled when I had the chance.

CremeEggThief · 26/04/2016 17:33

Oh wow, you too, Wreck?Shock

He's more or less back to normal now, Fluffy, thanks. Still a bit tired, but that's due to the antibiotics. He's finished the metronidazole now and due to finish the penicillin tomorrow.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/04/2016 17:33

Hi all, the weather has gone bonkers here Shock we have just had the biggest hail storm I have ever witnessed, it looked like snow - everywhere was white and the car in under 2 inches of the stuff!! It came complete with thunder and lightening much to dds delight Grin

Another busy day at work, NSD so far although dd is starting this pro coaching football course tonight so that will be £20 for the first four lessons.

Welcome back Audit which show are your kids doing at the minute?

Karcheer welcome.

Payday tomos Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2016 17:42

It's a nasty one to be on that is. At least he's not a drinker!

Wreck Sometimes you can terminate contracts early if they raise their prices. Moneysavingexpert would know. You only have a short window to do it though.

Hopefully it'll be in their email tonight.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2016 17:46

www.broadbandchoices.co.uk/guides/help/cancel-contract-price-goes-up

Have you just had notice?.

Dh on way home, probably with pizza as he's decided he doesn't like fajitas. I'm not cooking two meals. It's not a resturant.

AdoraBell · 26/04/2016 17:49

We've had snow, hale and brilliant sun in the south west.

£2 on eggs today. I haven't been out since Saturday, sent DD on the way back from school.

CremeEggThief · 26/04/2016 17:53

Oh I know, Fluffy. I was on it myself for a dental infection last August. I'd never even heard of it before then!

PurpleRibbons · 26/04/2016 17:57

Bonkers weather here too, and so cold! I had to put the heating on for an hour this afternoon. Made some frugal muffins to use a couple of overripe bananas.

Ememem84 · 26/04/2016 18:01

wreck I second/third/fourth/whatever writing to the ombudsman. If they say no you e lost the cost of a stamp.

We have to go to the shop in a bit. I hate food shopping.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2016 18:05

Sore knee Adora?

WreckTangled · 26/04/2016 18:09

That's interesting fluffy. Does the same apply to sky? I'm sure I wasn't told about the price increase when I agreed to it but I may have forgotten. It's not going up until June but will come out in May. It's gone up £2 a month.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/04/2016 18:14

Have just checked my online account and the pet insurance people have given me a load of money Confused its not right as the vets have told me they are going to claim from them directly, oh well its nice to see the account look healthy at the end of the month Grin will sort out tomos.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/04/2016 18:16

Honest answer is I don't know. MSE will know though. Or their regulator might have a FAQs page.

We only have bb here.

needastrongone · 26/04/2016 18:38

Are you ok Adora?

Yes, creme, the weather has been mental today, it's lovely sunshine here now, but bloody freezing. We've had hail, snow and sunshine in equal measure.

I've done a nice tea. Chop up 2 fennel bulbs (leeks would work as well I feel) and put in a casserole dish, chuck in some baby potatoes, seasoning, squeeze in the juice of 3 oranges (or use some value orange juice which is just as nice), stir in a tablespoon of mustard, maybe a glug of white wine if you have any, half a jar of chermoula (optional, I like the citrus taste, the zest of the oranges is also an option) and a pack of chicken thighs (cheaper than breast and more tasty). Bung in the oven for an hour or so, or until cooked.
Serve.

Or take out the spuds and serve with rice, or extra veg, or chunky bread.

Colliefeatures · 26/04/2016 18:53

Chilly wind here but no rain, or snow, or hail! Brrr!

We are going away soon and will arrive on Sunday. No shops will be open in the area until Tuesday because of the bank holiday Confused So I need 2 easy recipes to cook whilst away for the first two nights. Any ideas? We'll be driving for at least 5 hours so the ingredients will need to be cupboard stuff.

Tuna pasta bake is my only idea so far. :(

WreckTangled · 26/04/2016 18:57

Where are you going collie? Yes pasta is a good one, umm veggie korma with popadoms? You could use cauliflower, okra, onion and red pepper or something with a jar of sauce.

Ememem84 · 26/04/2016 19:36

£66 at the shop. More than we wanted to spend. But it included about a hundred 6 boxes of cereal as it was on special offer. And most stuff we usually buy was on deal. So we got two.

Karcheer · 26/04/2016 19:37

Hello,

I've had a NSD today.
Visited my parents so they fed me lunch.

Tonight I've had leftovers from yesterday (cold chicken and rice salad) it was hot yesterday but was nice cold today, plus it was just me as dh was out.
If I cooked the chicken (roast) yesterday would it be ok in a curry with veg tomorrow? I normally do a curry the day after a roast but never done it two days after.
Tomorrow will be spendy as I'm having my highlights done.

How is everyone getting their clothes dry? I'm very reliant on my tumble dryer which obviously eats money :/

WreckTangled · 26/04/2016 19:39

The chicken will be fine. I put most of ours on the clothes horse and tumblr the underwear and towels.
