Hi All,
Taking the liberty of starting a new thread, as I went to post spends on the old one and it's full.

We had a lovely day out at the seaside and visited an old lighthouse as part of it. As we rely on public transport, that's always a big part of our days out spend.
£9.60 bus fares.
£9.60 train fares (with the family railcard).
£6 lunch from Sainsburys ( £3 meal deal each).
£4.50 entrance to the lighthouse.
£7.10 coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in a café afterwards.

Oh and DS needed a haircut, which I think was £6.50.

knitting Good for you. Horrid woman.

wreck I used to love it when nursery kids did me a picture. I'm hoping I'm right that it's flowers. Let's hope you get those fees back. I think you deserve a cut for doing the admin.

Welcome back Scarlet

Unescorted · 12/04/2016 21:29

Lilac you only get one chance at life. It took me ages to to do things because they were good for me not what was expected. Being happy is a right and if you aren't at the moment change the bits that make it that way. Keep safe x

cag do you have an HR dept to take the comments to - if not ACAS may be able to advise.

Tayto - our fridge did the same. Defrost it - ours took a week because the back had all frozen over. Carrots are now fine. We were on the verge of getting a new f/f.

I am going to confess - how long have you peeps been saying about cashback sites.I have never used them because I don't know how. How do they work?

And a proud mummy moment - one boy and his bike

babsmam · 12/04/2016 21:43

Ah unescorted, what a pair of gems.

Unescorted · 12/04/2016 21:47

They aren't too bad .... house training may take a while.

HairsprayQueen · 12/04/2016 21:58

Ah lilac- counselling is so difficult at the time, the bubbling round of thoughts in between appointments where you don't have the counsellor as the sounding board (which I suppose is the point but it's not easy) I hope it helps you though Flowers

girlie my last proper removals was 10 years ago and cost £300 for a 1 bed flat, I've moved since then with a man with a van which has been cheaper but so much more hard work, i think probably too much hard work on a cost to value ratio.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2016 22:00

So much mud! It's giving me the fear. All I can think is how long it must have taken to clean him up.

Ok, what you do is register for free membership of topcashback and quidco and Kidstart.

Search for a retailer, say Boden, and there's a "shop now" or similar link.

Click on it, it redirects to the retailer and you shop.

They leave a tracking cookie and can tell how much you've spent. Then the cashback tracks in your account. They confirm it and eventually pay out. You need to set cookies to accept all in the browser.

I don't know who pays but I've had about £1800 in 4 years so I'm not complaining.

Unescorted · 12/04/2016 22:07

I will give it a a whirl.... I thought it was some special club joining thing so never bothered. 1800 in 4 years is not to be sniffed at.

I am still getting gid of the mud - looking forward to the summer when he can be hosed down.

Cagliostro · 12/04/2016 23:07

Definitely not too old Collie! One of my pupils is a grown up. Like a proper older-than-me grown up :o

lilacclery · 13/04/2016 05:36

Grinat proper older than me grown up cag

lilacclery · 13/04/2016 05:39

It's now Wednesday dh has still not put his half of money into joint account for last week. He gets paid on Friday & is a different bank so it takes a day. By tomorrow when I transfer my share he'll be a week behindAngry this annoys me no end but more so now because we're overdrawn & have been charged a referral fee as its not authorised. It wouldn't have happened if he'd lodged on time.

babsmam · 13/04/2016 06:31

Oh dear lilac hope he does it today.
Nsd planned as back to work

lilacclery · 13/04/2016 07:01

My personal acc balance reads €12.54 diesel light is on so going to spend €10 on diesel & remainder on fruit

8FencingWire · 13/04/2016 07:01

'Ride till you puke, and guess what, I did just that!'Grin
He is an absolute gem! Thanks for sharing!

8FencingWire · 13/04/2016 07:03

lillac, sorry, why are you still with him? He sounds hard work and if I remember correctly, is abusive.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 13/04/2016 07:18

NSD yesterday apart from DS ice skating which was ready budgeted for.

Should be a NSD today too. I'm in work this afternoon and going to spend the morning chilling out with DS. Going to start writing a list of things we need to take with us.

Anyone have any suggestions what to take to a caravan for a long weekend? Just incase I forget lol.

beesarethebest · 13/04/2016 07:24

lila - I'm sorry to hear you are going through such a hard time with your husband. It's really shit when they turn things on you like that. Was he always like this?

It's not wrong to consider life separate from him. A colleague and friend recently did this and she looks amazingly happier. She bought her husband out of their house and he moved to a flat nearby. They get on quite well and co-parent. She also has help from her parents who are nearby. She works ft too although has some flex in her job where necessary (so she works from home a day a week and leaves early one day a week etc). She had to get it round her head that it wasn't her fault at all - she was blaming herself quite a bit.

She's now found herself a new friend through online dating - wasn't intentional but it all sounds pretty serious and he sounds like a lovely person too. There is hope for a woman in her early 40s with a couple of kids!!!

Good luck with whatever you do. We are here.

I'll be spending for lunch today as meeting friend to tell her about my new job. Onwards to more declutteirng though!

babsmam · 13/04/2016 07:34

£158 dance fees, £66 school meals, £72.50 x2 passports and whatever postage today.
Don't: loo roll, kitchen roll, cling or boxes for pic NIC, pic NIC stuff, towels, tea towel, dish cloth, wash up liquid, shower gel, toothpaste and brush, clothes, PJ, swimmers, tea, coffee, milk, drinks, snacks, breakfast, cool bag, games, DVD, blanket looking at today's weather. That's all of the to of my head but I'm sure there is more

PurpleRibbons · 13/04/2016 07:35

That's a beautiful painting wreck.
Lilac the counselling sounds tough but helpful, it must be very draining emotionally. Look after yourself. You DD sounds lovely.
Thanks for ideas to use up odds and ends in the cupboard. I might experiment later.
Plan for today is post office to send parcel then garden/park this afternoon so it should be a very low spend day. Need to take a few bits to the charity shop too, will try not to buy anything!

Colliefeatures · 13/04/2016 07:51

cag hahaha! Love it! I used to play when I was much younger and I fancy getting a piano for me to play on. But also so DS has a musical instrument in the house he can learn too.

DS is in a "mischievous" mood. He's in everything and every cupboard. Climbing on everything too! Arghh!!

Just found my dream house on Rightmove. Only £725,000! Wink

beesarethebest · 13/04/2016 08:12

Lovely painting wreck. I'm pretty certain I can't paint like that, whether I was 5 or 55! Wink

EvaDelectorskaya · 13/04/2016 08:55

Lila - it sounds like your having a v tough time at the minute, I hope the counselling is a step in the right direction for you.

WreckTangled · 13/04/2016 09:01

Colliefeatures · 13/04/2016 09:24
