Hi All,
Taking the liberty of starting a new thread, as I went to post spends on the old one and it's full.

We had a lovely day out at the seaside and visited an old lighthouse as part of it. As we rely on public transport, that's always a big part of our days out spend.
£9.60 bus fares.
£9.60 train fares (with the family railcard).
£6 lunch from Sainsburys ( £3 meal deal each).
£4.50 entrance to the lighthouse.
£7.10 coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in a café afterwards.

Oh and DS needed a haircut, which I think was £6.50.

Thanks need I'm finding counselling an interesting process. I've only been twice and I'm even still upset about last night's even now. I suppose because it's making me face up to the situation instead of just trodding along and making do.

I'm remember things I had put to the back of my mind like dh telling me when I was expecting our ds that it was me that wanted the baby and forced him into it, even though we had agreed years before that we would have two dc together no matter what sex the second one might be and he had never voiced that he wasn't interested in a second child with me, and knew we were actively trying or not using contraception.

I think the lying has been a major one for me as everything else had been stripped away bit by bit but at least I still had trust and now I don't even have that anymore. Went for a lovely walk in sunshine to clear my head at lunchtime.

needastrongone · 12/04/2016 16:21

lila Yes, DH said counselling made him look at things that he didn't even deem relevant at the time. Lots of stuff, tons. I can understand the lying being such a major crux for you. If it helps, I couldn't even imagine being in such a good place now. That for you may or may not be with your DH, who knows, but I didn't ever feel life would feel 'normal' again. It does. Take care. x

lilacclery · 12/04/2016 16:25

Thanks need

Colliefeatures · 12/04/2016 17:02

girlie not a bad price at all ;).

Such a beautiful sunny hot day. Thunderstorms due tonight though Sad.

I'm off to buy a new bin for £20. I've put up with a broken bin for long enough, DS is wondering why there is a shoe box keeping the spring lid down on the bin!! He's too "interested".

Also hoping to buy some bushy shrubby flowers. We need some extra privacy in the garden.

Not frugal at all.

needastrongone · 12/04/2016 17:55

What is this sunshine of which you speak? And heat? Bah!

beesarethebest · 12/04/2016 18:07

Managed to get home and enjoy some sunshine!! Very warm. Lovely.

Managed to also 'make' £34 from ziffit. Grin sent off my first parcel. Found a random box in my office. Fitted the books I wanted to send to them, so fine. Have another pile to go to webuybooks. I'm on a roll.

beesarethebest · 12/04/2016 18:08

cag just read about your awful awful conversation with your line manager. Were there witnesses? Big hugs. Thanks

Cagliostro · 12/04/2016 18:36

Thanks bees and lilac nope no witnesses :(

Had a much better day today though - managed an hour at the park, I just sat there while the DCs played. :)

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/04/2016 18:58

8 it was a removal firm but I know the guy as went to school with him, am toying with the idea of hiring a massive van and trying to round up some big strong men to do it a bit cheaper Grin

Can't believe i'm back to work tomos, have been off nearly a month Shock

My new mum friend and her son came over for a cuppa and play at the park after school, was really nice and weather is gorgeous.

Lila am really glad the counselling process is helping, last year I was seeing a counsellor for the best part of the year and it helped me enormously. The relationship with your dh sounds so difficult and stressful, I imagine being a single parent your life would actually be much easier.

Colliefeatures · 12/04/2016 19:16

Random question: Am I too old to learn piano cag? I'm almost 30!

Ememem84 · 12/04/2016 19:19

collie never too old to learn something new.

I learnt to ride 18 months ago. Best thing I ever did.

Ememem84 · 12/04/2016 19:28

It's also super sunny here today! 🌞🌞🌞🌞

babsmam · 12/04/2016 19:30

Right will try and catch up.
Lilac, pleased you went back to counseling and fingers crossed it helps you get to where you need to be.
Girlie that sounds like a decent removal quote. Good luck clearing out and those selling stuff.
Collie, nah give it a go see how you get on.
Bees hope your last few weeks are OK, good luck either keeping this job or getting a new one. Not sure I remember what you were doing.
Purple I would say some sort of flap Jack with those odd and end.

Shitty mcshitt day at work. Nsd though

babsmam · 12/04/2016 19:34

Sainsburys subs are the devil's work but the other supermarket round here are rubbish.
Don't I do that on the way to holiday, acts as an icepack too.
Rain all day today

beesarethebest · 12/04/2016 19:50

Hi babs might have got me mixed up with another. Or maybe I was sounding so cheesed off at work! I've quit my job and start a new one in a few months time. Loving it!

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 12/04/2016 20:10

Have caught up. Manic last few days of easter holls, very pleased the dc are back at school now.

Went to lidl today £50 full trolley (no meat, freezer full), £20 top up in sainsburys (£12 of that was toy for ds am pushover ).
Lots of fruit as dp bought a nutribullet. Wow, so cool, am finally having my portions on fruit/veg and full until early afternoon (put oats in).

Very Envy of all the lovely weather. Ours was, urm, shit today. Was hoping for a fine window for a bike ride, but no.

Lila my ex said that to me, never wanted kids, I trapped him etc (despite me taking ovulation tests etc so he could fly back from work at the right time)...he was rewriting history as he'd checked out (so different circumstances to you), but it's so hurtful. It sort of blighted my happier memories. Flowers

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/04/2016 20:36

Girlie It's a reasonable quote. We paid that on mates rates. One firm quoted £700+ because "it's a bh weekend" we moved on a Friday so that cut no ice. You will make it back in reduced energy bills. I would love solar panels but dh says no.

bees excellent result. Plus someone else benefits from them.

lila I don't think anyone would blame you for leaving him.

What Sounds right to me. It can take 72 hrs to track receipts.

99p in Tesco on orangina but shopitized it and now it's free. Saving it for guests.

£10.50 in Tesco but will get £7 back off checkout smart and clicksnap. I now have 24 Paul Hollywood bread mixes under the bed. Keeping them to make rolls for BBQ nights.

£8 on spices but will get £6 back off quidco.

£2 on crisps but will be free on quidco.

£15 petrol

£44 haircut and tip.

Ebayed bike. £130 & £74 cashback came through. I can buy the table I want now.

Orangesaretheonly · 12/04/2016 20:38

Wow this thread moves fast. He a nsd today and lovely dinner at mil. Took dog with us too. Think I might contact bank as I had a loan a few years ago and no idea if I had ppi. It's worth a look.

babsmam · 12/04/2016 20:43

Oh bees sorry I think I must have. I can't keep up with name changers.

WreckTangled · 12/04/2016 20:43

I have filled in the Barclaycard online PPI claim form for dh and sent an email to Barclays about mis selling him a packaged account. Fingers crossed.

ScarletPower · 12/04/2016 20:55

Hello all, I'm joining you again (have NC) - I want to save as much as I can towards a gastric band op which I'm hoping to get done in two years time. I'm a terrible fritterer and have loads planned this year though.

WreckTangled · 12/04/2016 21:07

A nice painting by dd (5) to cheer you all up Grin

Lila I'm pleased you feel the counselling is helping it all sounds very stressful Thanks

Girlie I'm so jealous of your move you thoroughly deserve it though Smile

Amazing April Austerity.
CremeEggThief · 12/04/2016 21:08

Lilac, I hope the counselling helps you decide what's best for you and your dc. Wine

Spends: £7 each on gas and electric meters, £3.50 return bus fare to the dentist, as it was absolutely pouring down(DS had to have 2 baby teeth out, prior to starting orthodontist treatment next month) and £1.10 on a child single fare home. Total: £18.60.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 12/04/2016 21:16

Oh, and I finally bit the bullet and called the natwest. PPI on a loan from 2000 which I can still claim on. It was mis sold as I didn't want it at the time, but the horrid bank woman told me I wouldn't get the loan without it. The nice lady on the phone did the questions there and then, and I will have a decision by 1st June.

It made me feel sick, as I knew I'd been ripped off. But I was young, and she was bossy.
