Soon as I stirred it in it didn't smell right fuzz, I am VERY relaxed on food and dates and stuff, but this really wasn't right. I think I was more annoyed as my plan for the day was full, and I sort of had that particular window of time to sort tea out, which is very sad I know.

Anyway, in other news, I had my monthly meltdown with the DC, so they will be immensely helpful and tidy for a week or so, before slacking off again. Already I have an empty dishwasher, spotless inside of car and vacuumed house Smile

NK5BM3 · 18/02/2016 21:45

Thanks laska will look into the post office one. We don't have debts to transfer. We have debts to incur!!! Grin was thinking we pay for it on that new card and then pay it off slowly. That's what we did when we flew back to Asia at Christmas. I've been paying it off since Aug or something.

Tonight £35 for dinner st beefeaters. It was actually quite nice the food. And ds' kindle fire arrived.

Tomorrow to London and GOSH.

Girlfriend36 · 18/02/2016 22:43

Need I am quite sure animals have a sense of humour! Your pony sounds like such a character Grin dd had an amazing day today, she had a few friends with her and they all loved it. On of her friends came back with us for a sleep over and think it all that fresh air knackered them out as they are both fast asleep Grin

Thats so annoying re your dinner, I was slightly put out tonight as I made a spag bol (had checked that dds friend liked it first) and neither of them ate much at all - grr I hate waste!

Fluffy sometimes with frugellering you have to take the attitude you win some you lose some - given you are normally the frugelleer champion I think one mishap is allowed Grin

fuzzpig · 18/02/2016 23:04

Aw Ipsos I'm so pleased this is going so well with your DS. I love reading your posts about him, he sounds like such a sweet boy :) what book did you get him? I'm nosy :)

Our shower is busted apparently. Not that it really matters as it was a crappy over-the-bath dribbly affair anyway so we just use the bath and I use mum's shower whenever I stay there :o

But also... my tooth broke :( :( it's one of my molars so not visible thank goodness and it doesn't hurt, although it's annoying me.

I don't have to do anything about this do I? It's not hurting at all. I don't even have a dentist let alone the money to see one.

Oh well at least it's not like the dreams I always have about all my teeth falling out :o

FFS though, really feels like everything is falling apart - literally! Hmm It's almost comical.

CremeEggThief · 18/02/2016 23:54

I think you should go to the dentist as soon as you can, Fuzz. Aren't you an NHS patient?

fuzzpig · 19/02/2016 00:21

Noooo that wasn't supposed to be the answer Creme! :o

No I don't have a dentist. The DCs do obviously but there aren't any that do NHS for adults round here

fuzzpig · 19/02/2016 00:22

Although if you have a tax credit exemption certificate does that affect it? We don't at the moment (DH's wages take us just over the threshold) but with what's going on with our jobs, who knows Hmm

babsmam · 19/02/2016 06:22

Sorry fuzz I agree you need it seen to. Try not to leave it too long as it might get worse urgo more expensive.
Annoying when whole meals have to go out.
Fluffy I think you can be forgiven one slip up
Ah ipsos sound like your efforts are really paying off.
Workh today so shouldn't spend but need to plan an aldi shop for Monday and probably sainsburys too. Will read through some magazines for ideas

Ememem84 · 19/02/2016 06:42

Payday today! But no spends as all my direct debits will come out on Monday (usually 21st but as that's Sunday....) so until Monday I'm not going to really have a handle on what I've got to play with.

fuzz at least call the dentist...and see what they say. I agree you don't want to getting worse and more expensive. I hate how pricey dentists are. I paid £97 the other day for a checkup and a scale & polish. All of about 20 minutes.

Allgunsblazing · 19/02/2016 06:58

wrek, I understand. That's what my H kept saying to me as well. He didn't seem too bothered I had a long commute and that I was stressed every time I got in the car, he had the 'it'll be alright' attitude. I took control.

colliepirate · 19/02/2016 07:27

fuzz DH broke his wisdom molar (months ago but is only now getting it sorted. He said it doesn't hurt!). And he needs it taken out which is £180. Definitely don't leave it as it could get infected. If you opt to keep it - it may need root canal & a crown which was £600ish. But another dentist quoted me almost £800! Sad

The first appointment with the dentist was £30. Including x rays. Another dentist wanted to charge me £60 for a new patient appointment! So make sure you phone around for pricing.

We're off out tonight for a dinner at the beach restaurant. Smile so a bit spendy but we saved up for it and we only need to contribute £10 from this months wages. So a LSD really.

Ememem84 · 19/02/2016 07:58

I have just made banana and salted caramel pancakes for breakfast. Yum. Proper payday treat - we'd usually go out for breakfast on payday. But neither of us could be bothered with getting up early and getting ready early and leaving the house early. So homemade pancakes it was! Way more fun!

And as it's casual Friday... No need for dressing up. (In the car at present and I'm pretty certain I haven't brushed my hairI may be taking casual to a whole new level)

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 19/02/2016 08:00

Fuzz could you not ring an emergency nhs dentist and get fitted in? They will then treat you and put you on the waiting list and you could use your tax credit exemption card.. xx

fuzzpig · 19/02/2016 08:20

Oh bugger. I am really REALLY scared about seeing a dentist.

I don't have an exemption card (we may soon if DH doesn't get a job straight away) so presumably I'd have to pay?

Ememem84 · 19/02/2016 08:23

fuzz!! Woman up!! Go to the dentist. Think how silly you'll feel if you leave it and your mouth falls off. might not happen over exaggeration

But in all seriousness. Make appointment. Tell them from the outset you're nervous. Be brave. You can do it. X

cheesecheeseplease · 19/02/2016 08:28

Checking in frugaleers this had dropped off tio Blush. Fuzz i hate the dentist only go for emergencies as I'm petrified really should register and get proper check ups but as em said its so spendy. Frugal fail yesterday needed petrol £10 quick shop in aldi £9 something.
I bought 12 weeks upfront for sw £50 but as I've got holidays booked and a free week my lovely friend gave me it takes me up to May. Hopefully by that point I will be nearly there free recipe book as well to collect next week Grin. Need to sit and meal plan what's in the freezer for the next week as my next day off is Friday next week Sad.
Hope everything's beginning to get better for everyone job wise.

How do you all manage to remember who's said what? Do you take notes when you read the thread?!

fuzzpig · 19/02/2016 08:29

I will. I seem to remember that NHS choices or something has a search facility for local dentists.

It's part fear part embarrassment (awful teeth, pathetic I know)

needastrongone · 19/02/2016 08:39

Grin Em, you do make me laugh.

Fuzz, the dentist WILL have seen worse teeth, I promise! Certainly check into whether you are exempt from charges though.

This is my first proper lazy morning of the half term, but I have an appointment at 9.30 so need to move soon.

Beach restaurant sounds lovely Collie, unless it's fish and chips on a bench that you are bigging up Grin

needastrongone · 19/02/2016 08:44

I've sold a pony rug on ebay for £20.

So, in total about £60 made this week. Shame the 'characterful' pony tried to sneak under a fence last week and ripped his expensive rug, so the repair (too big for me to patch) will cost £40. I have no idea why he thought it was a good idea to try to sneak under a fence......

Whataboutnodetox · 19/02/2016 09:06

Morning! Feel like I've missed loads and I won't catch up now so just jumping back in!

We went to Great Yarmouth on Wednesday as our half term day out. We went on the beach, had fish and chips and had a lovely time in sea life centre. We spent about £70 but it was budgeted for and better to do one nice big day out and lots of free stuff I think. Nearly pay day and we've got £130 left in the bank. I need shopping and I'm a bit confused about what direct debits will go out. I moved my maternity pay out at the beginning so it looks like we've pretty much made it to the end with all our regular savings as usual, share save and everything else. We are going to cancel our cleaner, that will free up £130 a month and my husband just got a 4% pay rise so I think we'll be OK. I haven't worked out what the percentage works out to be a month, I must do that!

Anyway, hipe all are well and enjoyed / survived half term.

lilacclery · 19/02/2016 09:08

Will catch up in a minute, I'd a frugal fail this morning already.
I've had money sitting in my account waiting for credit card bill to come to pay it, i knew the balance was close to the limit, I could've paid some off but I didn't. Bl**dy overlimit fee of €7! Grrr! There's no appeal for this kind of thing sure there isn't. Fact is with interest applied I was over the limit.

supermariossister · 19/02/2016 09:09

Hi fell off the wagon a bit with posting as been really busy - spendy Monday as ds needed haircut, new trousers, bought hotel transylvania 2 on dvd, dinner out and about along with milk. Lsd Tuesday £2 on muller corners on offer in morrisons still need to pay sister who picked them up for me. Vets yesterday was 70 but dp paid, means he will be a bit short so I will need to chip more in which is okay. Really struggled yesterday kids were bickering and sd was really mouthy/lying about what she had done to upset the others. Dp pissed me off soon as we had established she was lying it was like okay it's done, put my foot down and said no the other two get punished for lying so that's what needs to happen so she got grounded and lost her phone. Don't think he was best pleased but it's getting a regular thing her getting away with more than the others and causing problems between us.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 19/02/2016 09:41

lila thats the sort of crap that I manage on a regular basis. Have managed to step away from the limit of each card to stop the interest pushing me over now.

fuzzy please get your tooth seen to. Have you a dental hospital close by? I have lost 2 top back molars as I left them too long and they were too far gone. So lucky here are we 1. have an nhs dentist and 2. have exemption cards. Still haven't been for over a year Blush

Got my first asda home delivery yesterday £61, but should get cashback for that. What a good idea! A chap brought all the heavy stuff to the door. Wondering why I never did it before now!

Need to get chicken food today, and need some more coat hooks. Don't want to go to the range as I'll spend £££, but they will be cheapest from there. Filled 2 bin bags just from the hall yesterday, and can now get to the bit of wall where we can hang coats. Took the bags straight to the tip.

And I knitted what turned out to be a labradoodle!

Pointlessfan · 19/02/2016 09:48

Fuzz I know how you feel, I have a check-up booked next week and I'm already dreading it but please see a dentist, if you leave it it could end up costing s lot more.
Those pancakes sound delicious Em.
Spent £26 last night on meal our with a friend plus parking. I've gone over my "pocket money" limit this month. Easter hols in March/April so they will be spendy months too. Eek!

fuzzpig · 19/02/2016 10:10

Thanks everyone. I know I'm being a complete wuss about it. I know I'm going to get told off for not looking after my teeth (I find all aspects of looking after myself really hard for various reasons) but I need to grow up and take it like a woman! Last time I saw a dentist was when DD was tiny, she's 8 now. The dentist was horrible.

Mind you, if I managed a smear test (with the help of diazepam!) I can do this... thankfully I have that Corsodyl mouthwash so will use that more until I get seen.

I may have to line a small treat up for myself if I manage it.
