I have a waitrose card but they never seem to have any of the things I buy there as a option for the discount. I find it really annoying I have to go online and hunt through for things I actually want before I go shopping. I am very lazy though Blush

Whataboutnodetox · 09/01/2016 09:31

Jeepers I feel the same, really puts me off.

Ememem84 · 09/01/2016 09:45

Today's spends £25 riding lesson.

Have been to the gym already today. And have got my second load of washing in.

Dh has taken the Christmas tree outside for collection out flat now looks like he scene of an awful Christmas tree massacre. Needles and bits of branch everywhere.

Will clean up after breakfast. Bacon and egg sandwiches. Yum. Free eggs from colleagues chickens too.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/01/2016 09:49

£76 in lidl but £35 of that was on five of those convertible story books they're £6.99 and will make great birthday presents.

Morning.

Todays spends will be

£10 riding lesson.
£10 camp fee for DS

I'll be back later as I have menu planned too but need to crack on instead of faffing Smile

fuzzpig · 09/01/2016 09:59

Friday:
£4.99 birthday present for DCs' friend, party next week (will be an expensive trip :( but worth it hopefully)
£2.30 bus
£5.96 Lego minifigs on sale, we use these and Mixels as rewards when a workbook is completed
£57.28 groceries (would've been less if we'd been more organised :()

Definitely not NSD today as DD has dancing (£15 payable at the start of each month, very good value!) but will then get the bus into town to pay in a cheque.

I'll take a snack so I don't get swayed by the inevitable pleading for McD/Gregg's etc! (my DCs are so classy :o Wink)

Girlfriend36 · 09/01/2016 10:15

Today likely to be a bit spendy but hopefully will be the last of the spendy days for a while!

Going to pay a £60 deposit on dds party, dd needs some football trainers and a new water bottle, in theory that should be about it Wink

SpottyTeacakes · 09/01/2016 10:27

£8 minimum payment on my next account - I could pay it off but I'll wait till I've received everything and sorted it all out.

£2 on batteries for a very cheap moon lamp Father Christmas bought Wilf. It cost £1.99 but this is 20 batteries so will last a while.

Whataboutnodetox · 09/01/2016 10:41

Dinners

Chicken Cosima (I'm doing a recipe a week from my cookery books, this is from simply nigella)
Fish pie with sweet potato mash
Lasagna
Beef stew (I have lots of muscle food steak)
Pulled pork rolls, we'll have a roast tomorrow and I'll use the left overs for it I think.

I'm almost through all the Christmas food so trying to do more slimming world type meals. Last night we had carbonara using bacon medallions and a quark based sauce. We liked it!

Ememem84 · 09/01/2016 10:55

what what's quark?

Using map my walk I've walked 4.5km today. And haven't even left the house.

babsmam · 09/01/2016 11:32

£25 on petrol, £4 on football and £4.63 on tomatoes, cucumber, eggs and potato. In for rest of day.

Whataboutnodetox · 09/01/2016 11:35

Quark is a very low fat cheese, it features heavily on slimming world :-) texture similar to yoghurt

SpottyTeacakes · 09/01/2016 13:28

£10 something soft play (ouch!) dh is paying for the coffee and cake though. Will go and get the dc's feet measured in a bit wish me luck!

Posting on the run, library now then farm foods challenge got a voucher for £2.50 off £25.00 shop so going to do my food shop there, still have a freezer full so I am hoping this I my biggest shop for next week.

Pointlessfan · 09/01/2016 13:37

We went to a party at soft play and I didn't buy any coffee - very pleased with my self restraint!
Need to get gel nails removed this afternoon though, had them done before Xmas, they look a mess now my nails have grown.

fuzzpig · 09/01/2016 13:39

Finally catching up on the thread!

Odd question, does anyone know about natural dye for fabrics? Got a home ed project lined up, and I figured rather than using expensive dye we could try using stuff like onion skin etc.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/01/2016 13:44

Fuzz totally unrelated but have you don't food colouring in water for a carnation? I remember doing that at school!

OP posts:
fuzzpig · 09/01/2016 13:47

Yes we have! Love stuff like that. Must find the time to do more kitchen science stuff (would be easier if the kitchen wasn't so messy tiny!)

Ememem84 · 09/01/2016 13:54

pointless have you tried removing yourself? I've started doing this now. Buy a bottle of "getemoff" (purple bottle ) in boots. Scratch surface of nails with file. Soak and get a scraper thingy and peel off nails.

My nail lady charges extra for removal. So each time I go with bare nails I save myself £8 or so. I removed mine on Monday and am not getting them put back on until the 29th

Ememem84 · 09/01/2016 13:55

Red cabbage for dying I think works fuzz.

fuzzpig · 09/01/2016 13:59

Oooh I love it when waiting for something pays off. Just checked my wishlist as trying to decide what to spend the last dregs of my Christmas money on, and the game I've wanted for ages dropped below a tenner. Win.

Right I'm off to pay in my cheque, as I forgot to take it with me earlier! Blush

fuzzpig · 09/01/2016 14:00

Ooh, thank you em :)

SpottyTeacakes · 09/01/2016 14:45

I am a bad frugaleer I'm too embarrassed to even say what I just bought and how much a paid Blush
