super sorry to hear you are unwell. Could they contact you using email if you find it easier that way?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/01/2016 19:09

Ha ha, I missed the chocolate washing up liquid.

hope you are feeling better soon, super. I hate phoning the CHMT. Once you are on the phone, it does get easier IME. Enjoy the book.

Ipsos · 08/01/2016 19:18

Super Medics are so helpful aren't they? Oh well.

LollipopViolet · 08/01/2016 19:20

NSD here - got 2 new shirts though thanks to my lovely mother going into town for me while I was on placement :) She also wants no money for them as she used a gift voucher she had, that would've otherwise been wasted.

So I have 2 new shirts ready for work and spent no money - yay.

Am off for lunch with a friend on Monday, hoping to keep it cheap.

supermariossister · 08/01/2016 19:26

I shall try the first phone call and see how it goes, if it's a disaster I'll ask for another way. Good news on the shirts lollipop! Haha it did make me smile I would love chocolate scented washing liquid

574ejones · 08/01/2016 19:59

Rafa don't worry about Penny challenge just do what you can. I printed the chart & did first seven days in reverse & marked them off next 7 days I did from 1.80 upwards. They'll all get done eventually.

That was lovely of your mum lollipop
Hugs to spotty

Need to go food shopping but sure we can make do until Monday. DD sent home from school so not sure we will do much this weekend apart from DS football which is £4

babsmam · 08/01/2016 20:28

Gah just lost a long post Angry

For Super and Spotty have you read link I found it massively helpful when my anxiety was through the roof last year, easily as helpful as counselling! Gave me a completely different perspective on it.

LollipopViolet · 08/01/2016 20:54

Oh yes, my mum is one of those people who'd rather spend on other people, rather than herself. As a result, even at 26 she buys me stuff. I'd quite happily have gone to town tomorrow for my shirts but she insisted!

Off to the gym tomorrow, so should be another 2 NSD's over the weekend.

On a random note, 2 days at school on placement have completed wiped me out! These Year 1s and their limitless energy...! Love it though Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/01/2016 20:54

It's only really a problem from a 'living within your income' point of view, Ipsos. I have a buffer anyway so I can just take it from there for the rest of this week.

I think it would have been OK if I'd not paid the council tax 3 weeks early. That would normally have come from a later tax credit payment. By the end of next week it should all work out and I'll end up with excess to put into my normal savings. No more CT til April and the penny challenge in reverse means that the daily payments decrease.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/01/2016 21:16

£50 on food, £30 petrol.

I don't think you can claim things on topcashback and checkoutsmart now Sad. It's the same network now Angry

babsmam · 08/01/2016 21:41

Whataboutnodetox · 08/01/2016 21:43

Lilac that sounds good I did know about the cash back site have you use them before?

Super I am sure that the therapist would be trained to help people with anxiety via the phone. Congrats on winning the book. Meditation is very help ful.

Allgunsblazing · 09/01/2016 07:35

NSD yesterday. I was thinking yesterday, why don't I get into the habit of not allowing myself to spend any money on a Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, say. It's bound to make me a bit more refrained, no? :)
Will be a bit of a spendy day. Waitrose top up, some plants and fish for our tank (got a spend £30 get £5 off voucher though). Will park at Waitrose/JL, they repay your parking fee :)

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/01/2016 07:37

Do you have the mywaitrose card with the 10 pick your own 20% discounts? I was tweeting mine last night.

Pointlessfan · 09/01/2016 08:23

I need to set mine up fluffy, was planning to do it for things we buy often like cat food or expensive things like washing powder.
Had a really good night out last night, meal and drinks. Restaurant was byob so took some leftover Xmas beer, it makes such a difference to the cost of a meal out if you don't pay for alcohol.
Going to catch up on thread properly now.

lilacclery · 09/01/2016 08:28

No booty haven't used them yet
I had been wheat free from end sept until Christmas last night was my first encounter was ciabatta could feel my tummy swelling as I'd a belt on my dressSmile
Share of bill for dinner was €75 but it's a yearly thing and we really enjoyed the night. Will factor it in as an expense in Christmas 16 budget so that it'll feel like a free night out.

blueteapot · 09/01/2016 08:33

Morning all :)

Super I might have missed it - what was in your laundry basket?? Flowers for you, spotty and anyone else struggling with anxiety issues, I can feel myself slipping further in that direction and my DH also suffers.

Both me and DH are off this weekend so planning a trip into town / soft play this morning. Also need petrol. I have a £10 m&s voucher from o2 priority moments to use. Going to also have a look in the sales to stock up xmas presents / birthday presents for this year if I see anything appropriate.

This is going to get spendy, isnt it?

Project this year is to save any tesco point / nectar points / boots points / random vouchers and use them only for presents (be that through the year or next christmas) too. I have about a fiver on each so far lol.

Need to bank the DC xmas money today (£160) when we're in town too as I still havent got round to that.

Made a proper MN chicken on wed so will need to use the end of it today. So far its made a chicken dinner on wed for me / dc, chicken sandwiches thurs / fri, and a curry last night. Theres enough for another meal tonight so will probably just do it with spuds / veg to suit the DC. I even made stock people. Stock! You lot really have inspired me lol.

Enjoy your weekend everyone

Allgunsblazing · 09/01/2016 08:47

Fluffy, I do have the mywaitrose card. And use a JL credit card, so it's pennies back :) I only buy the paper on a Saturday, spend over £10 and it's free anyway :)
I don't have the coffee though, I think it's vile, tastes burntHmm
