Hope you are home soon creme and fx on those job applications.

Congratulations Blue

£61.85 on Sainsbo's delivery.

ipsos · 19/11/2015 16:56

Thanks Creme. I think I worked out a good plan with the guy. I got out my note of the price he charged and he gave me three separate numbers for the three bits of the work so I said I'd pay when each bit is finished. I think that will make it fair to both of us, and I noticed that he has stayed an hour longer today and is still working.

Star2015 · 19/11/2015 17:04

Can anyone help me please fruglars?

Can I ask a question about the Sainsburys double up event please?

I've been to my local shop, I have £13 worth of nectar points so asked for one £5 to £10 voucher for wine and one £5 to £10 voucher for entertainment.

When I've purchased my goods I paid the difference over the £10 (so the wine came to £15 so I paid £5 and my cd was £11 so I paid £1), but no points have come off my nectar balance....

Surely this isn't right? I'm confused!!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2015 17:33

No idea star, sorry.

Well dd was the only one in her swimming lesson so got a 1-2-1! Only trouble is the pool was so cold it had to be abandoned halfway through. I'm really annoyed because I've paid for that lesson and was getting a £21 lesson for the price of £7

babsmam · 19/11/2015 17:59

Star. Going by what you said you should only have the equivalent of £3 left on your nectar card.
What does the bottom of your latest receipt say? Still £13

babsmam · 19/11/2015 18:00

Complain spotty that's not on. You should get a lesson back.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2015 18:07

Do you think? We pay by direct debit do not sure how they would do it. She always shivers but was shivering too much to swim, I felt the water and it was cold.

Girlfriend36 · 19/11/2015 18:14

Hi all, thanks for the support re dds school trips. Bearing in mind her school is in a very mixed area think they are pushing their luck tbh! Ipsos all residential trips are optional but I obviously don't want dd to miss out on something that she would enjoy. Hence why I am scraping together the £200 for the 3 day London trip which is next year. These more expensive trips are only from year 5 though.

Spoke to my mum about it and she agrees it is a bit cheeky but thinks I should find out a bit more about what the trip involves before saying a def no, will have a think about it.

I had got some chicken out of the freezer to have for dinner but it looked a bit iffy (am wondering how long its been in the freezer Blush) so cooked it up but have given it to the cats! They seem pleased Grin Beans on toast for us!!

Spent £2.40 on emergency chocolate and 7 Up as was rushing about at work and needed (needed I tell you) the sugar Wink

ipsos · 19/11/2015 18:30

I just got an email from the loop people to say I've used 90% of my energy budget for the month. I looked at today's graph and there's a mighty bump where the decorator guy has been using the steam wallpaper stripper. Smile

Girlie, DS's primary only offered a residential in Year 6. We were lucky, as his pupil premium paid for half of it, so I only had to pay £100 for 3 nights. Unfortunately, I had to fund his recent trip (now in Year 8) to France myself, although I was able to pay in 3 installments.

bbcessex · 19/11/2015 18:55

Hi all.. I haven't read the thread for a while; am looking forward to doing that later... but just wanted to say thank you to the poster who advocated ebaying old clothes - ememem ? - and mentioned the £30 voucher..
I put up some old work clothes and signed up for the voucher.. £75 on sales and £30 on voucher - excellent Christmas spends, many thanks indeed for the tip Grin

babsmam · 19/11/2015 18:56

Spotty was it her choice or the instructors choice to end the lesson cos of the cold? On balance was the 15 minutes she had more than the full 30 she would normally have iyswim. I guess if she got more out of the short time than the longer lesson then maybe don't complain but maybe mention the cold though

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2015 19:00

She didn't get to do much swimming as he was trying to play some games to start with to warm her up. He called me to get her out she didn't ask but he said the water was too cold and he had radioed it in. He also said to the life guard that it was too cold. He said it was disappearing as she had the best ability in the class so he wanted to really work with her.

Pointlessfan · 19/11/2015 19:27

I quite like my steam mop but it's one of those with a load of attachments for different jobs. I prefer not to use chemicals on the floor because of cat and toddler and it saves messing about with buckets of water. It's also really useful for getting marks off the sofa/carpet and doing the bathroom tiles.
Today has been long and tiring but I haven't spent any money and I made a very easy recipe for tea - Mexican quinoa. Basically just chuck a cup of quinoa into a pan with chopped chilli, crushed garlic, few chopped tomatoes and drained tins of beans (I used black eye) and sweet corn. Pour in a cup of veg stock and leave it to simmer until the quinoa is cooked then add chopped avocado and lime juice. I also added smoked paprika and I put extra chillies from a jar on mine and DH's.

babsmam · 19/11/2015 19:37

In that case spotty I would ask for a reschedule lesson when pool is Warm or a credit to your bank for the price of the lesson. Maybe just say as the lesson was curtailed due to an issue with the pool what is their policy? See what they come back with.

needastrongone · 19/11/2015 19:38

Evening. Sorry, been away for a couple of days.

Spends

£64 petrol
£3.50 M&S (bread and chocolate)

Idiot DH managed to leave his car keys in his hotel room in Portugal, so I have had to call a taxi to take his spare key an hour and a half to the airport. £65, which I will put on the business. So far this year, he has put the wrong fuel into the tank and driven off (nearly £700), locked his keys in the boot. I honestly despair with him sometimes.

Chorizo Lasagne for tea, with roasted veggies, was yummy.

needastrongone · 19/11/2015 19:43

Hated my steam mop, I felt it just moved the dirt around. Our cleaner mops once a week. I sweep every day and then every other day I use floor wipes on the kitchen floor, mainly due to the dogs, I am anal about my floor!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2015 19:55

Thanks babs Smile

Need I would be so cross!! Dh left dd's favourite toy and pjs in Paris, not quite on the same scale but I was not impressed.

Lovetoknit · 19/11/2015 19:59

My steam mop is okay but I use the wileda mop more because the floor is lot dryer and cleaner afterwards.
Schnitzels with wedges and salad for dinner tonight.
collie Can I please ask about mycoupons from Sainsbury's? I have done an order after I selected the coupons and got the confirmations, they were ready to use but the extra points have not been added and are not in my coupons wallet? What am I doing wrong?
need isn't it strange men get away with doing stupid things like that but when it's a woman, they always have something sarcastic to say Hmm

luxy I love my sc and have used it far more than I expected to. This week I've used it to cook curry and Xmas pudding (not together!) and tomorrow I'm leaving it to make veg stock all day. Planning to do a Thai curry in it on Saturday and a shepherds pie (filling only) on Sunday.
One of the best things we made in it was bread and butter pudding.
Loads of good ideas on Pinterest.
