Thought I'd start a shiny new thread as we've filled the other one so quickly.

Today we are off to the rugby. So possibly a spendy one.

fuzzpig · 20/09/2015 08:50

Enjoy the match Em!

I didn't manage to sell our rugby ticket after all :( friend is ill so can't go. Did offer me the money regardless but that would be really mean of me!

Almost tempted to drag my sorry arse to the match anyway but TBH it would cost extra in train fares etc and I'd regret it tomorrow I think, just going to enjoy the quiet house for the day.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/09/2015 09:38

£14 for meal out last night, £40 for the cat's bladder tablets.

annatha · 20/09/2015 10:23

Was having a nsd yesterday until dh got home from work, then we ended up spending £50 on eBay for dd's birthday. Hoping for nsd today because tomorrow's top up shop list is already looking quite expensive.

Collieputthekettleon · 20/09/2015 11:06

£1.33 in Sainsbury's on juice & biscuits

Passthecake30 · 20/09/2015 11:23

Yesterday - £10 sainsburys (on french bread, doughnuts and other sorts of u healthy stodgeBlush), £21 kids swimming and £11 ds barbers.

Today is a lovely sunny day so taking kids to a fair - £1.50 a ride so have mentally decided 5 rides each =£15. We always stay clear generally so it seems mean to take them and then not let them do enough rides ifykwim. Have exchanged club card vouchers for £40 cafe rougeSmile

ipsos · 20/09/2015 11:29

I've made a weird discovery. The last few days I haven't been able to eat much because of a virus, so I took all the meat that would have been wasted, cooked it, and put it in the freezer in freezer bags. Today I discovered that if I then take a frozen cooked pork chop out of the freezer and microwave it, it tastes pretty much exactly the same as it would have done straight from the oven. That's a whole different kind of batch cooking isn't it?

CremeEggThief · 20/09/2015 12:48

Matalan sent me a £10 off orders over £25 code, so I used it for trainers, Wellies and a 3 pack of underwear for DS. £24 isn't bad at all for all that, considering he's in men's sizes now.

Apart from that, should be an NSD.

babsmam · 20/09/2015 13:17

Result ipsos.

Been at the hospital all morning. Frugal won is we got a parking exemption so only £2.50 to pay. Frugal fail is hospital cafe for food

babsmam · 20/09/2015 15:18

£47 in sainsbury.

Back to the hospital tomorrow as no idea what is wrong.

CremeEggThief · 20/09/2015 15:24

Oh Babsmam. I'm sure they'll have some answers for you soon. Xx

Ursulatodd · 20/09/2015 16:17

Hope everything's ok babs Flowers.

We had friends to stay for the weekend. Fairly LS. About £40 on food/drinks above and beyond usual budget. They've gone home now. Me, DH and DD are watching Wall-E!

Bolognaise from the freezer for dinner.

What's the best bubble bath/pamper treat out there? I love Lush bubble bars but can't justify the expense...Radox doesn't feel treaty enough!

ipsos · 20/09/2015 17:18

We've had a nsd except for tesco, which is running at much less a day than last month. I think my bulk buying the pushed my bill up last month is pushing them down this month as I use up the things I bought. Our new webcam has been good. Lots of entertainment skyping grandparents which is free.

Slightly disappointed to discover the the new Heinz baked beans with stevia in them instead of sugar don't agree with ds. Makes him totally hysterical three hours after eating them, so he can't even get his breath. Then after 5 minutes he is fine again. Tried it twice and was exactly the same both times. Gosh!

574ejones · 20/09/2015 17:45

Just put up a new thread as we are nearly full here.

574ejones · 20/09/2015 17:50

Flowers Babs

£14.88 buying flowers & chocs for MIL, and £59 Next order on 4 items of clothes. Their sizing is a bit weird so never really know whether it will fit or not.

babsmam · 20/09/2015 17:55

Thanks. I'm shattered, hats off to parents who do this all the time. Hospital with 2dc is very tiring. They don't seem too worried though.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/09/2015 18:04

Hope everything's ok babs.

I've been to Thorpe park today with a friend had a great time. £13 on gifts for the dc Blush £5 on parking £30 petrol. Tickets were free and friend paid for lunch.

JemimaMuddledUp · 20/09/2015 18:09

How is DS now babs?

LSD here today.

Took the DC to Junior Parkrun (free to take part) then spent £3.87 on bacon rolls for them as a post run treat.

Spent £1 on a raffle ticket and £2.50 on a big homemade apple and blackberry pie on the cake stall at a Tractor Run in the village.

Took DD to watch the local Ladies' football team play this afternoon, which was free entry. Bought 2 bottles of drink and a bag of sweets (£2) for us on the way there for during the match.

Other than that we've mainly been watching World Cup Rugby Grin

Who were you watching ememem?

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/09/2015 18:39

Ursula Buy the Lush, you're frugal the rest of the time.

Ipsos That sounds like a really quick way of getting a roast dinner on the table. I never buy pork chops for some reason, I love pork chops too.

Babs You will ache all over tomorrow morning. It's awful when kids are ill.

£7 on prosecco (got a taste for it last night) and a choccy bar for dh.

CremeEggThief · 20/09/2015 18:43

I love prosecco. I haven't had it for ages though.
Please could someone link to our new thread? I'm on my phone, so I can't, sorry.
