Car boot sales

So, we are going to do our first car boot sale this weekend and was just wondering how much you sell things for? Obviously, I know people will haggle us down, but what do you start off with? It is mainly kids clothes from birth to 8 years, books, toys and general house hold stuff. TIA

Clothes maximum £1, although some items could be 20-50p. Books 30-75p. Kids jigsaws max 75p, toys - it depends what you have 50p-£4.

If you have a decorating table that's great for displaying things or plastic sheets for the ground. People are more likely to come over if they can see a good choice displayed, even if some things like books are still in boxes.

Thanks! We just want to get rid of everything, what doesn't sell will go to the charity shop.

It is always a good idea to do bundles of things like books & children's clothes. So, maybe you could ask for 50p per tshirt & offer 10 for £3. Or books for 50p each or 3 for £1. You will also find that people pay more for what they consider to be 'better' names so a toddler tshirt from Tesco might fetch 30p but a tshirt from Next/Boden etc might fetch 50p.
