Hi I'm sorry if this is the wrong topic.
Last year I rang tax credits and informed them I had another child, as I didn't realise I needed to tell them as well as child benefit so we missed out on a few months payment - they can only back date for three months now.
So today I got my renewal pack and there is no mention of said child.
I have renewed online and added her again but do I need to speak to them on the phone and query why she isn't already on the claim? I have a previous letter from the time I added her so it was definitely done.
They have worked out I owe a little money but I wonder if this is because she isn't on it?
