I want to start a thread to share homemade gift ideas that are either cheap or free.

Some ideas:

Headband I am sewing a batch of these for my children's friends birthdays

Simple Sewing Gifts

Plant Cuttings

I know that some of these take money and not everyone has a sewing machine, but wanted to share.

I have started baking a Victoria Sandwich using the Mumsnet recipe to give where I would normally give flowers, wine, chocs or smellies. It appears to be very well received as most of my friends/relatives are better off than I am so can buy wine/flowers in their weekly shop but have less time and most don't bake. Ds1 asked for one instead of an Easter egg this year.

That is a good idea.

I have seen articles on how to make homemade potpourri and orange oil cleaner.
