Audit

Nearly all communion kids over here were sandals or cheap pair of pumps in penny's ie primark.

Spotty glad you feel bit better.

Dragging my lot to national trust property it's hour drive away. But I have some sterling for coffee and cake. This inducement for DH! Kids being forced to do one family day!! (Membership runs out 30 April)

Then we ll do roast dinner and tv and chocolate!

Happy Easter everyone Easter Smile

Today should be a NSD going to my mums for lunch and a walk over the fields later.

Having a very lazy morning, not dressed yet!!

I'm still in my jammies too, don't intend on getting dressed at all actually :o Blush

Have done all my leftover jobs from yesterday though so feeling quite smug. DH is taking the DCs out for a scoot/play in the park (well if they stop whinging about it Hmm) so I need to get my arse in gear and get stuff done while they're out, and they can help a bit in the afternoon.

This is the point where I struggle to figure out WHAT to do though. I've done all the regular housework stuff and now I'm looking round wondering where the heck to start on the horrendous clutter!

Evil thought Audit, put Dh's card on the Amazon account as primary funding.

Have come home to a nice water bill saying they're dropping our direct debit to £14 pcm instead of £28!

That's good news spotty. How comes I pay £42p/mth??!!

Went swimming at a wave machine/slides pool, £15. Took sarnies and ate in car and then went to a different park and a different beach. Happy kids and hopefully got less less wind burn than yesterdayShock

I've been on a mumsnet ban for lent to prove to my dh that I don't live my life through mn (need a risotto recipe? il check mn. where to stay in York? il check mn. is my child too wild? il check mn.....you get the picture!). anyway I did it! And now I'm so glad to be back and super-excited to see a bulge thread for February and March for me to read through! Hope everyone is well, saving the pennies and enjoying chocolate on this sunny easter sunday!

No idea pass we are pretty lucky. We are slowly moving over to a meter and are in credit this time so that's why it's been reduced.

Trying to catch up with the thread. Been doing pretty well though.

Thursday, DP did the first big shop of the month for £50, I spent £10 at the village market and £10 on glass jug, wicker basket, oil bottle, and matching set of mugs for the house.

Friday we spent £10 on top-up stuff and had a takeaway (the 'treats' jar is running a bit low now...).

Yesterday we did a free easter egg hunt run by the National Trust (DS had his 1st ever creme egg and has become a crazed fool for them since - v wearing). Spent £15 on a second hand wooden table I'd been look out for, for the garden - probably would have been about £80 new so I'm very happy with that. £20 on food. Been really frugal with Easter gifts this year - spent £1 on DP, £1.50 on DS, and £1.50 each on the Grannies.

Today, DP's mum took us out for lunch unexpectedly which was great and we went for a walk to look at lambs in a field which I count as saving us money on visiting a children's farm Smile

Tomorrow, my family is visiting so we're making cakes using what we have in the cupboard, but before that it's a car boot sale - I have a list of things I'm on the scout for, for the house, and a tape measure, so we'll see how that goes...

Happy Easter everyone.

I've got one single white spot at the back of my throat (on my tonsil?) i haven't got a cold just this sore throat does this sound bacterial? I'm not usually a wuss but I'm diabetic and infections cause havoc with my sugar levels Hmm plus I'm feeling sorry for myself

So, I've been going through my finances in my head & it's really getting on my nerves! - more myself than anything else!

I have £208.00 tax credits each week. I pay £122.64 nursery & then I've been trying to live of the remaining £80.00.

Although - I'm struggling and it's annoying me! I know this is 100% my fault because I smoke, but I'm trying to save up to buy my own place, and I'm thinking will I ever, ever be able to afford it?

Angry

My wages are £1022 per month, which I've been putting away!

Report
Unescorted · 05/04/2015 18:52

Awww Spotty hopefully it goes away. I get them sometimes they can either go away as quickly as they come or stay for weeks.

Laska I am in awe of your planting. My garden is a mess of weeds. I had thought dh was going to something with it last summer but no luck there. I have planned my own version and he can complain all he likes.

It was going to be a NSD here but I may have to enjoy the sunshine in the beer garden.

Should have been a NSD today however have been on Amazon and spent £14 - doh!! Got a dvd, ear plugs, a book and something else which I have momentarily forgotten Blush for that though!!

Thats really good that you can save all your wages kate are you living with your parents? Thats really generous of them not to ask for house keeping or rent. Have you thought about cutting down on the smoking?

Spotty I am so Envy at how low your water bill is, I pay £56 a month Shock it actually makes me feel a bit sick thinking about it!

That's so low spotty!

We've had a good day.

Well I costed up the bathroom, and reckon it will be £700 including labour (about £400 without Labour but don't feel we can do it ourselves as novices with only 1 bathroom. It has to be done in 1 day really) Bit of a bum because that's too much. We've decided to fill the cracks with silicon tomorrow and hopefully it will do us another six months while we save up.

Sorted out a load of old kids clothes and found some party shoes perfect for dd2 also know what holes there are in their wardrobes and what I need to look out for in the sales.
couple of bags for the charity shop too!

£27 on lunch out. £4.50 on frozen chips for fish and chips at home and other things.

Happy Easter!

Not too Spendy, We went to friends for dinner , so just took some wine and flowers and Easter egg for their DD. Spent about a fiver in the pub, we went to A samba afternoon which was a great way to spend Easter Sunday. DS made loads of new friends and had a brilliant time dancing. Back to work tomorrow for me though!

spotty that's what I had on Thursday. By yesterday my whole mouth hurt and it hurt to eat or drink anything. I got antibiotics today but after paying 8 quid for the prescription I read the side effects and they sound a bit scary so I haven't taken any yet!
Have plenty of ibuprofen and paracetamol and gargle with warm salt water. I find eating salty crisps help too. Even if it doesn't help it's a good excuse! Hope you feel better soon.

Report
CremeEggThief · 05/04/2015 22:48

Pointless, I would take the antibiotics, if I were you. I have only been prescribed antibiotics 3 times since DS was born 12 and a half years ago, and 2 of them have been for tonsillitis and very much needed.
