Side effects are only possibles not definites.

Come on, we don't want you admitted for blood poisoning.

MissMysticFalls · 05/04/2015 23:19

TeWi just done the same today - two bags of DS's clothes by the door for the charity shop. Must be the sudden burst of sunshine bringing on the urge to clear out. Cakes are all made for family tomorrow and a bucket of home-made hummus. DP has talked me down from buying "new" curtains off eBay - am dreaming of wafting white voile in summer breezes at the doors. He says they look like shower curtains. He's right.

Sixforgold · 06/04/2015 06:03

Woken up by dd at 3am for 'a cuddle in your bed' and haven't been able to sleep since (we're spending a couple of days at my mum's so out of normal routine etc) but I have now caught up with February! Gosh you ladies can chat ;) I am eagerly waiting to find out if the chocolate emoticon campaign has been successful!

Mystic I've been so good in the past few weeks with just getting rid rather than eyeing things up for how much I might be able to sell them for. I have still been fb selling with some success but if its not sold immediately I delete the post and off it goes to charity.

NSD yesterday (much easier when all the shops are shut!)

Pointlessfan · 06/04/2015 07:06

I still haven't taken any antibiotics but I think I'm starting to feel better although it still hurts to swallow. I'll see how I go today.
Going to mum's for lunch today, should be NSD.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 07:14

Food shopping coming this morning thank god. We're out of milk Shock meant to be a nice day but there's a frost atm, still hoping I can hang the washing out.

Unescorted · 06/04/2015 07:21

It was clear last night so it should warm up - we have a low mist so I am hoping it doesn't take too long to burn off. I am going to start weeding the back garden if the soil has dried out a bit.

Pointless - glad you are starting to feel better. Spotty are you still spotty or did it clear overnight?

Today I will mostly be tidying up (in between weeding!). Again. the good news is that my kids caught the its spring lets tidy bug yesterday. Both of them did their rooms without being asked. First I must go for a run.

lilacclery · 06/04/2015 07:22

Had day out at a vintage show yesterday just used coins I had so about €20, great day out. Today will have lunch out with my parents who are visiting €40-€50 I love eating out!!

Ds is teething mad & an early riser anyhow so I've caught up on this thread my work & personal fb accounts & most of the interesting active threads too!

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 07:30

£7.76 travel insurance. Saved £20 by not declaring medical condition Blush

Still got the one white spot!

Unescorted · 06/04/2015 07:35

Sending out damn spots vibes to you.

The vintage show sounds interesting - what did they have there?

lilacclery · 06/04/2015 07:45

unescorted vintage cars tractors fire engines then lots of stuff for kids bouncing castle puppet show face painting lovely tent with very reasonably priced foods like cakes & buns, dog show

It was a gorgeous day we all got a healthy glow, my parents came too, they live 100 miles away this made kids week, they didn't even think of Easter eggs until 6pm.

The show is a memorial day for a man I worked with so know everyone involved in organising it & lots of attendees too

Unescorted · 06/04/2015 07:50

I love the old machinery... I love the steam engine and aeroplane rooms at MOSI. My family leave me there for hours.

KateSpade · 06/04/2015 07:56

I was debating the roll up's yesterday & putting them in a fancy case like women used to do in the 60's, but ultimately I need to stop.

I have an electronic cigarette, so I shouldn't have this issue at all.

I'm hoping my brother will show me today, how to roll! X

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 09:57

£59 food shopping but they forgot one of the ellas kitchen pouch packs so I've emailed them. They're £3.25 so I want that back Angry feel like I didn't get much for my money.

CaptainSubtext · 06/04/2015 10:53

Lilac that sounds like a lovely day! What a great way to celebrate somebody.

Mystic yep I think the weather is helping me with decluttering too! I am a bit achy after my efforts yesterday but still want to get a few little bits done (while watching DVDs) - must air the house out too while it's not too cold.

Hope all the dodgy throats etc get better soon! I am frankly amazed I haven't got ill for the last few months... it has made me suspicious. It's not like me to be the healthiest one in the house Hmm :o

bootygirl · 06/04/2015 11:24

Had great day yesterday. Was feeling virtuous telling dh that the national trust membership saved us €30! In last year. Till he said we spent that amount in their tea shops lol I blame him as its only way I can get him to go!
Kids did not moan once!

Then we went to beach and had pizza in pub and icecreams in parlour for €40! Feeling less virtuous lol

Lovely day today and I am trying to resist buying annual plants for the pots in back garden as they lol be dead by summer?

babsmam · 06/04/2015 11:28

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 12:48

Just need a five day meal plan this week and here it is:

Chicken chorizo casserole
Lasagne x 2 with salad
Jackets and beans/toast
Cajun chicken quinoa

Not very healthy Blush

AdoraBell · 06/04/2015 13:39

Kate my DSis managed to cut her smoking down dramatically by using roll ups. She started with splitting commercial ciggies to make them, two roll ups from 1 cigarette then gradually reduced the amount of commercial stuff and increased the pouch tobacco while decreasing the over all size. End result, after a long time and because she can't give up completely, is 10 roll ups for the amount of tobacco in 1 cigarette, and she smokes 1 roll up a day.

That sounds like a lovely day Lillac

I need groceries today, and a meal plan. Had a lovely salad at a BBQ last week, it was quinoa with coconut, mango and sultanas.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/04/2015 13:49

The quinoa was really expensive Shock hoping I can find it cheaper.

babsmam · 06/04/2015 14:32

Sorry lost signal.

Spendy day Saturday travelling to Scotland. Dare not work out how much. Weather gorgeous though spent nothing yesterday as diddled about on the camp site and in a hot tub

TeWiSavesTheDay · 06/04/2015 14:48

Digging out the garden now. Totally shattered - kids are enjoying the mud A bit too much!

Any tips on making a new hole to move a rotary aired before I send DH out to buy something? We haven't got a pile driver thing for fence posts.

AdoraBell · 06/04/2015 15:09

Do you have any kind of metal or heavy wooden pole/pipe?

I have a whole packet of quinoa to use up but the heathens refuse to eat itHmm all the more for me I suppose.

LaChatte · 06/04/2015 16:25

Hello all, has the weather perked up over there yet? We've had a lovely sunny but chilly Easter weekend at DM's. I didn't buy anything for the DCs and they still ended up with a ton of chocolate. DM took us all out for a nice meal again, feeling very spoilt. In consequence, our €30 Easter budget has now gone into the Easter holiday budget (we break up on Friday).
DH is away with work until Saturday, here's hoping he won't spend too much (it's a school trip, with any luck he won't have time to do any shopping).
I need to food plan for the week, and will do an online shop to pick up tomorrow, I'm hoping to get the bill to under €50 for the week.
DD has had a growth spurt, but will have to make do until the summer sales in July (she's got plenty of hand-me-downs from DS, but nothing's pink, so not to her tastes). DS needs new shoes, but he has to sort himself out with his pocket money, as he's already had two pairs out of me since September Hmm
