Cheap skincare for rosacea

Hello, just wondering if anyone uses cheap/natural products for rosacea? I've been using pretty expensive Clinique stuff but have just done a scary budget and don't think I can justify spending that much any more. I've thought about using coconut oil as a cleanser and moisturiser but don't know if that would be too greasy? Any ideas gratefully received!

I know how you feel. Clinique discontinued their Rescue cream.
I found La Roche Possey a good substitute .
I don't think it's possible to get reasonable skin care for our skin. But I will watch your thread with interest.
Boots Botanicals do a range! Forgot about that. Day cream and instant relief!

I don't have Rosacea (although I have everything else - grease, sensitivity, eczema patches), but oil cleansing is meant to be good for it, and it's improved my skin no end.

I've just looked on feelunique and the La Roche moisturiser seems a lot cheaper, so thank you ladymalfoy!
Hopefully do you use coconut oil? I think you can use almond and rose mosqueta (sp?) oils too?
I'm so used to the Clinique range that I am slightly worried about swapping to something else in case it make me flare up, although I do also think that a lot of it is expensive snake oil... with added chemicals!

I was the same about swapping but LA Roche is amazing. It has a similar consistency to the Clinique rescue cream but is far better under make up. Boots often have offers on La Roche.
If it helps my skin has been calmer for the last 7 months with no flair ups. LA Roche seems to be more of a preventative cream than an emergency fix IYSWIM?

My dermatologist said not to use commercial products but when it flares keep it soft / moisturised with e45 or similar. Simple wipes and not much else. Make sure I use a SPF based foundation and keep my face out of the sun. I take an antibiotic daily to keep it down and stop infections.

From my research, oils are not recommended with rosacea as they irritate the skin apparently. I use cleaner as a makeup remover and face wash with Le Roche moisturisers. I've also recently started using bare minerals make up and the difference has been amazing.

Hi, I use Avene cleanser and night cream (cleanser is about 8 quid and lasts for ages). You usually find Avene beside La Roche Posay stuff. It's such an expensive business testing out different creams and cleansers when you have rosacea so you have my sympathies.

Thanks for all the responses, I've bought some La Roche moisturiser so will see how I go with that. I use the Bare Minerals foundation, and was getting it cheaper online (feelunique.com - I don't work for them, honest!) but now it's gone up to full price which is very annoying, although you can normally find a discount code somewhere. I think it's tricky because the effectiveness of products often seems quite personal - I've seen lots of different brands mentioned on other threads.

topical treatment with an aspirin solution ( google it)
oil cleanse with organic rose hip oil bought in 200ml bottles off reliable ebayer - not sure if I can name them here
& every day - summer or winter use of factor 50 sun lotion (piz bruin - not specified for faces) or if im out for the day - or wearing make-up - calypso [apply once] for kids ( also factor 50)

got bored wasting money on expensive c*p and realised what c**p it was when I diligently started looking up all the ingredients and what they did - mostly nothing
its been miraculous !

The aloe range from The Body Shop is fantastic for rosacea prone skins, I love it all except for the face wash which is to be avoided anyway as it is a foaming one.

I'm using the camomile cleansing butter from TBS which is amazing and then Nivea Q10 night cream which my skin tolerates well.
