Good luck Italian!

£30 petrol (first lot this week)
£3 on 9 rolls of Andrex such a bargain in my local garage Grin
£25 sainsburys toy sale dc all finished now apart from chocolate coins, new underwear and pjs
£7 in john lewis cafe
£10 new angel for Christmas tree.

I'd allowed £60 for today (not including petrol and loo roll) so I'm really pleased

girliefriend · 23/10/2014 13:34

Have just signed up to ebay as couldn't bring myself to spend nearly £20 on the Sylvanian Elephant family and they are going for £3 on there Shock although bidding going on for another 48 hrs yet so am guessing that might go up.

Also bought some David Walliams books, 3 books for £9 so not too bad.

Must get off the internet now though!!

Mojito100 · 23/10/2014 14:52

Finally nsd today. Good luck Viking hope you get the mortgage. Planning on NSD tomorrow and only intending to buy milk and fruit this weekend as cupboards and freezer are overflowing. I have a habit (posdibly addiction) to buying in bulk and maintaining high levels of food always exists. It's crazy really.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 23/10/2014 16:41

Made two huge chicken gammon mushroom n leek pies today had some cooked gammon that needed using n 4 bags in freezer of varying amounts of chicken left off a roast so all bunged in.

So that's dinner tonight with hm paprika wedges n peas.

Made 9 jam tarts with left over pastry as well

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2014 16:45

We're having pasta bolognese for dinner with bolognese from the freezer. Nice and easy!

574ejones · 23/10/2014 16:59

NSD today. Hope it went well for you italian

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 23/10/2014 17:03

Went round the charity shops in town today but bought nothing.

Having a huge de clutter at home has made me quite reluctant to buy anything unless it's perfect.

I want some photo albums from muji to tidy up two big bags of photos but I want to go to a physical store rather than buy online.

Making frugal veg curry for dinner, cabbage and lentil bake with sausages for tomorrow.

£80 on new front tyres - better than the £160 I had budgeted for Grin
Also £2.50 in Tesco on a drink, some crisps and the Mirror for the Aldi voucher. Also need to spend £20 on petrol in a bit, plus off to scour the Co-Op for bargains just before closing.
How did it go Italian?

Ffs tesco orchard must hate me Sad

girliefriend · 23/10/2014 18:40

Spent £60 in Morrisons but got quite a lot for that, bulk bought loo rolls, cat food and also got a few treats in as dd having 2 friends over for a sleepover tomos night I must be mad plus will be halloween soon, got a massive pumpkin for £2! Thought that was good value Smile

Morrisons were rolling out a new card which apparently gives you points to the value of anything you could get cheaper somewhere else Confused seems a slightly backwards way of doing it as surely they could just make things the same price or cheaper in the first place! Think its an attempt to keep up with Aldi/Lidls.

Also thought it was interesting to see how badly Tescos are doing on the news, can't say I am surprised though as always found them poor value for money.

Also spent £8 on a dvd, card and newspaper.

Iamnotanugget · 23/10/2014 18:44

Almost a nsd. I dropped a load of stuff off at a charity shop but while there I saw a dress dd will love so bought it, £2.50.

I had an email from Tesco inviting me to join the wine trials. I was excited but I haven't heard anything since Sad.

Hope all went well Italian.

CoolCadbury · 23/10/2014 18:57

Am back here after a few weeks break. Have been insanely busy with work, which means money has been coming in this month (after a very lean few months). I have also been too busy and too tired to spend it as well. Smile

furcoatbigknickers · 23/10/2014 19:29

£4.95 on crisps, chocolate and a courgette

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/10/2014 20:47

We haven't had our wine voucher yet, I logged on and it was dispatched today.

Got the ready meal one today. You can blanch and freeze carrots.

£40 hair cut
£80 lamps for the lounge
£40 aldi, included led bulbs for the new lamps.

I hope you got the mortgage italian.

Passthecake30 · 23/10/2014 21:41

£5.20 on a big fat kfc for me and it was SO good!

trainersandaches · 23/10/2014 22:27

Spent £3 on milk, salad and a Mirror for the Aldi voucher today.

Payday tomorrow...

Mojito100 · 23/10/2014 22:33

I just realised I said I had NSD yesterday but paid bills off. How quick you can forget what you spend if you aren't making a note of it. I'm still counting it as NSD as they had to be paid and I feel happier once my debts are sorted.

I wish I could clear the mortgage but that is almost impossible with the salary I'm on and getting a different one where I live is challenging to say the least.

chocolatedonut · 23/10/2014 23:47

NSD today. Not much planned for tomorrow or Sat so both should be NSDs also Smile

Resisting temptation to start buying christmas bits and bobs for the house! Seen some lovely throws and candles ... Sigh.

AuditAngel · 24/10/2014 00:00

Lunch and bits of shopping £12.

Suit DS needs for dancing £42, I could provably get one cheaper in Southall, but it is Diwali this weekend so will be chaos. Decided rather than drag 3 kids round Hounslow tomorrow night when I should be working, I'll pay £10 or so extra and just order online.

I also found a gorgeous white tux with tail coat and silver "accents" for the grand price of £8. So I bought it anyway. DS likes it, not what he needs for the show, but it expect his dance teacher will love it.

AuditAngel · 24/10/2014 00:09

Adora since I now have (ordered) DS's suit, I will drive DH and his mother (and 3 kids) to Kingston on Sunday for their iPad appointments. On the plus side, we'll probably go for lunch, but I'll have to drive. Still need to buy knee length white socks for DD2 for dancing.

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 24/10/2014 07:48

Had been planning a NSD, however, needed to order a replacement cable for the digital camera to charge it, so in order to get the free shipping, ordered the book and cd that I'd been planning on ordering for the dcs for Christmas. Already budgeted for those, but total was £20 for all items, so that's okay.

fuzzpig · 24/10/2014 08:06

Wednesday
Bus £2
Breakfast £2.28
Poundland £3
Lunch £3
DSD gig ticket £15
Total: £25.28

Thursday
Bus pass £4.10
Breakfast £3.39
Cake £3.10
Lunch £17.70 (date day - used a clubcard voucher so saved £20)
Sainsburys £15.25ish - mostly on two Xmas presents for DCs in the toy sale. They've both been on my wishlist for ages so grabbed them cheaper. Shame it's not a big sainsburys really as we could've got lots more lego I've been looking for!
Binca £1.50
DVDs £5.97 - this is in our 'pocket money' though so already budgeted for.

I'm thinking about doing a 'DCs' budget too. Just for little things like the very rare magazine, craft stuff etc. But as DH points out, where's the line between that budget and say food when we are out, or going to the cinema etc... think we need an overall food budget or leisure budget too maybe?!

We have lots of meat/fish in the freezer and I really want to use it all up. Must plan before I shop for the next few days, and not buy any meat or fish.

ItalianWiking84 · 24/10/2014 08:45

So meeting went overall really well. The bank adviser will send it all to headquarters and recommend a approval for the mortgage Grin
Now going to call estate agents and make an offer Smile hop the accept. Need a few groceries today so should be around 30ish so not to bad
