Hey I was recently evicted from my own due to rent arrears I was doing different hours every week but couldn't get help .im now in a more stable job but I've had to use all my months pay to secure a new house I was left with literally nothing hence my other thread about food I've now sorted that with some helpful ideas of the lovely people on here .my tax credits may or may not be sorted this week coming but they have sent for yet more info so now I'm thinking I may not get paid this week
Anyway my child's birthday is a few days to get paid again I have got him a few bits and have just sold some old stuff on facebook making about 13 pound well hopefully as the stuff is getting picked up today any ideas what I can get he has asked for lego ,books ,and art stuff ,he loves turtles I've been checking out the selling sites but nothing is coming on I need any ideas
I'm thinking spending around £5 in pound land on pens and paper
Or am I worrying about nothing as he will have some presents

freecycle?
Charity shops always have lots of books/toys and the library give them away after so long- I know because I went in with my friend and her little boy last week and the librarian gave them some children's books that they were chucking.

We just made turtles from pipe cleaners and small pom-poms. I'll see if I can find a picture.

How old is he? You can get lots of fun stuff in Poundland so even a £5 bag from there would be fab!

Charity shops for books is a great idea.

You may be stressed but you know what you sound like you are a fantastic mum and when your kids are older they will love you for being so great at coping with all this, I really hope you get sorted out soon, good luck with everything ...:)

Wish my parents had been more like you ....
