Gas or electric heating?

I have GCH through my flat, I need to choose whether to have radiator valves fitted to isolate heating to the rooms im actually in this winter or some kind of electric heating for those rooms (maybe oil filled rad).
To have the valves fitted would be more costly, but does anyone know, would it be cheaper in the long run than using electric heating or which kind of electric heating is cheapest?

If suggest moving this to property / DIY, you're more likely to get an answer.

Valves. You can probably watch a youtube video and fit them yourself.

Electric heating is £££. Been there, done that.
