£25 to last until god nos when thanks to ex food ideas

Hi I have done a thread last week about me and ex splitting he has now wiped my account of my wages police and bank are involved but could take weeks to sort ..the bank have give me a very small temp overdraft of £25
Just wondering if anyone has any cheap meal ideas
We have nothing in the freezer of fridge but I have
Tinned tomatoes
Spaghetti
Mayo
Beans etc in cupboard
Any ideas the bank can't give me a time frame as to when this will be sorted

He's 6 yes I was thinking the same it's easily done my mind just went blank
Like I say I have cereal and bits in the cupboard just got 2 loaves so have frozen them down

As long as it's resolved soon I think you should be ok, doesn't make it right though and I hope you get every penny back

Aldi and Lidl can be very cheap. I can stock up for very little.

I think the bank will try and get it resolved quick if not I've threatened them with the papers and allsorts I no it's not there fault but it's down to them now .and as for him well I hope he's severely punished it's theft and it's not just a few pound it's almost all of my wages .

I was thinking aldi aswell they seem to be pretty cheap .didnt think of lidl I'll have a little shop around tommorow

Hi spoke to the bank there saying 7-21 days is the average length that's really helpful they still can't give proper time frames
They can't give me any more overdraft as I've only a basic account and the £25 was a gesture of good will
Feel so bad on my son can't get him any treats or go anywhere in these holidays well not until the end
Alls the bank said is I will get my money back but they have procedure
I'm just glad I've booked holidays of work I wasn't meant to but I decided id use my holidays up

Check out the library, local museums and even children's centres for free stuff to do in the holidays. Wednesday is national play day so there's loads going on nationwide. And at 6 just a game of football in the park and a wander in the woods climbing trees is ace (and at 36!)

Yes I will be doing it's just me being paranoid feel like such a bad mum today I promised him we'd do allsorts and now it's a fell flat
Hopefully my tax credits goes in soon and I can get some arty stuff he likes doing that and think we will go to the park later on just fed up today could just sleep forever

Got son a little pack of sweets I felt so sly when he asked for ice lollies saying no

I have about £6 left I need toilet roll and soap

Do you have anything you could sell or pawn? Cash Converters etc allow you to sell-and-buy-back quite a lot of stuff like phones, cameras. musical instruments, household tools, computer games (did your foul XP leave anything like that behind?). Also, if you have any jewellery you could maybe pawn that.

I literally don't have anything to sell he took everything he owned when he went I'm lucky he left me the tv if I'm honesty
My sons Ds just broken and he has some games but he's after a new Ds id feel terrible selling them
Ill have another look around the house though x

Relief the bank has re imbursed me as they've been in touch with the bank it was transfered to and they have took it back out of his account so the bank have give it me as it's proven it's my money :) xx

That is brilliant news, really pleased it has worked out so quickly.

If you have a smartphone, download a free geocaching app - my boys loved that when they were younger and I am sure the app I used was free.

Me to I thought it was going to take weeks but I think it's helped he's admitted it now from what the police have said and he had kept the money in his own bank

Do you have a laptop/computer you use if you have I would get it checked in case he has put a key logger software on it.

Do you live near a market? You can get bowls of fruit and veg for a pound each, and make some good pasta sauces and curries. A bag of lentils can make you a lot of daal to have with rice.

YOu can make lollies and slushies out of squash (not the sugar free kind)

Simply freeze normal squash for a couple of hours, mix with a fork, refreeze until slushie consistency

Lollies you can make with either lollie moulds, often found in pound shops, or used yoghurt containers.
