I hear a lot about it on threads but have no idea what it is

It's a software package called you need a budget.
It can be downloaded to pc and the app can be downloaded to your phone for easy updating.

It follows four rules
You decide once your income hits your account what categories you want to assign it to and what it needs to do before the next paycheck comes in.
