About £7.50 on travel and £1 on milk.

Charlieboo30 · 05/06/2014 19:58

We bought both our iPads from argos (I have a full size, DP has a mini). In my experience, it really doesn't matter where you buy an apple product from as their customer service is brilliant. We've returned a faulty iPhone that was on contract with Orange. Orange didn't want to know as it was 20 months old, apple replaced it without question. Also returned my cousins iPod which was over 2 years old and they replaced that, no questions asked. My iPad cost £400 and I would replace it in a heartbeat. One of the best things I've ever bought.

I've spent £18 on kindle pre orders today. Will probably fill the car tomorrow which will be roughly £30. Not sure if I'll do food shop after work, but if I do that'll be another £80.

Makingchanges · 05/06/2014 20:07

NSD today but only cos I forgot to get petrol so will need to do that tomorrow instead. Sold two books on Amazon too so will need to post tomorrow.

I also have an ipad which I love. DD has a mini which I find just a little too small.

NK5BM3 · 05/06/2014 20:35

Does Apple really swap faulty stuff? Dh's iPhone died a couple of months into his contract and bloody O2 won't do anything for it.

Spent £6.30 on dinner which was sushi as I was in London. Happy for that. Found out work will refund the train fare to London. Yay! It was an official meeting but not official in that our group decided to meet (ordinarily there's like 400 others who attend this, but 7 of us decided to meet)...

I think I need the cleaner. Can't do without.

Tassimo for £35, it would make a good present.

NK5BM3 - they always have with us. We've always gone to their store, booked in with the Genius Bar and spoke to them. They tap the code from the phone (or other gadget) into a computer to make sure it's a genuine apple product and then will try to fix it. They didn't try very hard with ours before they just gave us a new one!

PinkSquash · 05/06/2014 21:06

Had quite a spendy day today, £30 in Tesco on a goal for DS1s birthday (£9) and some shorts and a digger toy for DS2. The shorts will be going back as Tesco sent me a 20% code so will use that along with the free delivery code from using delivery saver so I should save a few ££.

Hopefully a LSD tomorrow as I need to get some potted herbs for my border and possibly a prescription from the doctor as I've had awful pains in my head for a few weeks Sad

silkknickers · 05/06/2014 21:45

Oh Lordy. Came on here to report 2 consecutive LSDs, but then spied fluffy's Tassimo offer.
A Tassimo has been on my save-up-to-buy list, but at £35 I had to get it!
So, no. It HASN'T been a LSD today Smile

NK5BM3 · 05/06/2014 22:09

Thanks Charlie! Will try that!!

AdoraBell · 06/06/2014 00:52

Pink defo talk to your GP, but I've had head pains due to stress in the past. It could be something similar if you have anything playing on your mind like money woes, just don't ignore it.

My iPhone was replaced here after I dropped it. I've always been very happy with the staff and service in their stores here if they could sort out the Chilean phone system I'd be extremely happy

NSD

No other spending except for the £12.80 spent on a present yesterday. Today I should only be spending £2.50 on toddler group fees although I'm very tempted by the coffee machine for DH...

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/06/2014 07:23

You can get cashback from topcashback on the pods & sometimes they pop up in the 99p shop.

Dh wants one now Sad

Meal plan is working really well - we've got way more money in the Joint Acc than usual as this week's food was almost all from store cupboards and freezer. Will need a big shop this weekend, but I'm at a black tie dinner for work on Tues and DH would live on toast and pasta if I let him so that's one less meal to plan!

FantaSea · 06/06/2014 09:11

MissAnn I have this with my DH if I go out - he will just eat toast or something out of the fridge! As you say, one less meal to plan for Smile

Hoping for a LSD today.

CoolCadbury · 06/06/2014 10:40

I'm not much of a meat eater but Wowcher are doing organic meat BBQ Hampers for £39 instead of £82 here.

threedeer · 06/06/2014 12:27

Frugal experts - I spent £110 on a shop. It included meal planned family dinners for two weeks, breakfast and lunch for one week, pet food & bedding for three pets for a fortnight as well as cleaning and laundry products. We'll need top up milk and fresh veg. That feels like a good deal to me. Is it?

LSD today. £10 tops - meeting a client in a cafe. That should cover a couple of soft drinks each.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/06/2014 12:45

Looks pretty good. You can freeze milk & some veg if you chop and blanch it. If you run your till receipt through mysupermarket it gives you a comparison shop that includes Aldi.

Laundry gloop is really good for washing coloureds. littlecottagecomforts.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/some-handy-hints-little-bit-of-thrift.html. You don't need the borax, I just use sainsburys own brand soap and soda crystals from homebargains.

£1.79 on leave in conditioner
£1.29 on sandwich bags (would have been cheaper in tescos Angry)
99p rolling pin, I can make my own wraps now.
£2 on loo roll

CoolCadbury · 06/06/2014 16:08

east it's ok! I have no clue about how much meat costs except chicken breasts. Grin

Yay! I have converted my Dad to YNABing! Helped him set it all up today. Thanks lilac for the code. Smile

Charlieboo30 · 06/06/2014 17:29

Spent £66 at Morrisons and then £11 at home bargains. Also spent £15 at Tescos this morning on magazines and lunch. Tomorrow will probably spend a further £20 at Lidl. Going to collect my order from new look as well which is paid for but will have to pay for parking.

Bit peed off that DP's car went in for its MOT at the start of May and cost us £300 for it to pass. Today he's noticed the exhaust rattling. He thinks it's just the clip but he's no mechanic. Back into the garage on Monday. Cars!!!!

NK5BM3 · 06/06/2014 18:03

£18 on Dd's sandals and £37 on manicure and pedicure (my annual thing)... Dd got her nails painted too!!
Oh £15 at Asian shop.

Will need to do shop tomorrow but determined not to get too much. Need to eat out freezer and cupboards!!

AuditAngel · 06/06/2014 18:42

Yesterday was quite spendy. £1.50 for crisps and a drink during DS's sailing lesson, then £20 for takeaway dinner for DH/DS and I last night after dancing.

Today £15 for pub lunch.

Need diesel tomorrow and a supermarket shop. Also a couple of things to post for the swap thread.

The plan is that my parents go home on Sunday. I think MIL/DH and I can cover child care next week so they can stay at theirs all week. Hopefully that will reduce the food bill.

Nsd

CoolCadbury · 06/06/2014 19:52

NSD

CremeEggThief · 06/06/2014 19:57

Unexpected NSD, as DS wasn't in the mood for Scouts, so I didn't have to pay £18 subs and 80p bus fare.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend :).
