If anyone is interested -

Just saw a Psychological test needing volunteers that could net you £90 plus travel expenses to London on a weekday, involves an MRI, blood test, PET scan, psychological interview and some computer tasks.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/06/2014 13:00

£50 in tesco Angry I just needed enough for a few days until the big shop but and didn't want to drive forty minutes to lidl. Stupid tesco. Our TV is completely dead now too so need a new one of those. Have just completed my fifth load of washing in less than twenty four hours Shock can only fit three on the line though...

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/06/2014 15:45

creme I hope it goes well.

spotty you are really having a run of bad luck Sad

Checkout smart is an app that you take photos of your till receipt on to get the offers on. I thought it was standard offers across the board but obviously not.

I decided to have a little splurge today, dh doesn't want a holiday & the college I want to have facials at (splurging on a budget) has closed until Christmas for beauty appointments. You can't give it away sometimes.

So I bought tuna & eggs in aldi. £2.

Yes but my mums friend fixed my laptop much cheaper than the shop quoted Smile and dp has saved his overtime money for us to do stuff with in the summer when he's at work

AuditAngel · 18/06/2014 17:02

Passthecake30 no we aren't neighbours, I live near Twickenham, hence being concerned whether just over a quarter of a tank was enough to drive to Hertford and back for work!

£48 on diesel, £3 on lunch. Will be going to Tesco for a top up shop and then a Sainsbury shop to use my voucher. I haven't shopped since last Tuesday and we are onto long life milk and nearly no bread.

I have gone back to checkoutsmart and added my bank details for payments, but still no Tesco cash back offer Sad

Passthecake30 · 18/06/2014 17:49

Lol auditangel did you make it with the petrol?

Have downloaded checkoutsmart....does it work with Internet shopping too if I take a pic of receipt? Sorry if has been asked before

£15 splurge in Holland & Barratt. ..they have their buy one half price offer. Was holding out for the penny sale mind you. Why bother with these rotating events, just reduce the prices eh!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/06/2014 18:16

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/06/2014 18:23

I am going to join this when I get paid, although I have been lurking for a few days! Just wanted to let you know that Next have a lot of boys onesies in their clearance - at around £12 which is about half price. Would make great Christmas presents.

AuditAngel · 18/06/2014 20:04

Went to Waitrose hoping for bargain reductions, but none to be had!

So I only spent £13.04 buying bread, cooked chicken and salad. Plus some biscuits for the kids (I bought ones I don't like to discourage me from eating them). They didn't have DD's milk, lactose free, so need a fairly soon delivery.

Now to do the proper shop online.

NK5BM3 · 18/06/2014 21:27

NSD!

CecyHall · 18/06/2014 21:37

About £3 in co-op on bread and cereal- I paid more than I would have in the big supermarket but saved bus fare.

Although DH went to lidl after work so he could have got them there and spend £6 on nappies (hopefully the last lot we'll buy if DS gets to grips with potty training next week) and a cake- not a necessity but it was cheap and nice.

CoolCadbury · 18/06/2014 21:58

cremeeggthief Super well done on your new job. Fantastic news. Wine Flowers Grin

silkknickers · 18/06/2014 22:02

cremeegg congrats on the new job Grin

I have £76 in the household acc. for groceries etc to last until Thursday next week, if needs be I can take money from elsewhere (other 'envelopes') but hoping to make it last, all the bills have been paid so it's just for food and if we run out of loo paper etc.

No holiday for us this summer, conserving funds!

I am teaching at a summer school which pays £875 for the two weeks, plus all food and board, any expenses etc (so our grocery bill for that 2 weeks will drop to almost nothing as DH lives on toast when I am not here Grin ) I can't wait to have that lump sum to put off the next CC, we should be down to only 1 CC by then (mid August) and it will really make a dent in it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/06/2014 08:28

MissAnnersleyismyhero That's brilliant, you must be really pleased.

Thanks everyone. X

HayDayQueen · 19/06/2014 10:23

Congrats, CreamEgg

I've downloaded the ap, and about to go shopping so will give it a go!

From dim dark memory I remembered hearing something about being able to steam dents out of wood and so I googled it. Apparently you can do it with a damp cloth and an iron, so I'm going to give it a shot on my floor boards which have some awful dents in them later today.

CremeEggThief · 19/06/2014 16:05

Oh good luck, HayDayQueen. Hope it works.

£6.19 today, on spinach, a samosa and a mop.

MissAnnersleyismyhero · 19/06/2014 16:28

creme egg that is a very varied shopping list Grin

CremeEggThief · 19/06/2014 16:48

Ha! The samosa was an impulse buy :).

Springbright · 19/06/2014 17:50

creme I do exactly the same...from teaching to TA after dd. We often have discussions about when I'll return to teaching. I think it would mainly be a financial decision because I love my job and my hours!
