Everyone is welcome.

Adora I could eat 100g of chocolate in one go so at £3.40 that would be very expensive!

AdoraBell · 17/06/2014 03:05

I couldn't manage the whole 100g in 1 go, I'd need to split the day into am and pmWink, but we used to buy it a lot more because it was on a par with the UK and most other things were much cheaper than UK when we arrived.I hadn't realised it had crept up quite so much.

Today I spent £2 on bread and crackers for DD2 to take into school tomorrow.

Lilbup · 17/06/2014 07:03

NSD on Sunday and then £43 in Aldi last night. Hopefully today should be a NSD.

Enough left for dinner tonight n prob another dinner based on my child size portions at mo!! Toddler doesn't eat Bolognese n will have had a light tea at childminder so can have plain pasta n cheese. (Ssshh I may give him a herta frankfurter with it)

springbright · 17/06/2014 17:04

Oh dear east hope the sickness eases off soon.

Nsd today, spent 6 topping up yesterday. We're in need if a big shop. Yesterday we had lovely bolognaise which I'd frozen last week but had to serve with a spoon of pasta, a spoon of rice and a slice of bread each! Our only store cupboard carb left is a packet of soda bread mix and a small portion of pudding rice.

Dh is out tonight so me and dd will cobble something together and then tomorrow we have sausage and mash from the freezer so can keep going for a few days.

I do have a lot of plain flour but am not much of a baker - I'm thinking pastry and pizza bases?

£36 for cleaner, and £3 at sainsburys. Am back at work. Feeling quite stressed so thought I'd clear some stuff off. If I was at home I'd be snapping at kids. Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/06/2014 20:12

£6 petrol.

Hello everyone I'm back Smile hope you're all ok, too much to catch up on! Back to being frugal for me!

CecyHall · 17/06/2014 20:19

£40 for dinner money today and that's it- I might go and pay another £12 towards it tomorrow though and then I'll be done for the school year.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/06/2014 20:19

Sorry, I'm filling the thread up Blush but the checkoutsmart app has a really good offer on, if you spend £30 in tesco on anything you get £10 back!.

So that's me shopping at tesco this week then.

They take 5% commission on payouts under £19.99 though.

Thanks Fluffy, I'll pop to Tesco's for some bread and stuff to make a £30 shop. I haven't yet shopped for last weekend, but getting low on bread/milk/salad so need a top up. Maybe a click and collect for tomorrow night?

I also have a voucher for a Waitrose shop and 2 vouchers for Sainsbury's £10 off plus free delivery so I can justify buying all my favourites from all over.

£3.55 for a sandwich today as I realised I couldn't eat my salad (which I'll take tomorrow) as I rushed to visit a potential secondary school for DS. £1.30 for parking because DH is bloody useless at finding anywhere so I arranged to meet him at a nearby car park

I want to get Diesel tomorrow, not sure if I have enough (5/12 of a tank) to drive to Hertford and back tomorrow.

springbright · 17/06/2014 21:06

Hi spotty hope you had a lovely holiday!

I've just googled 'pudding rice risotto'...anyone tried it?!

AuditAngel · 17/06/2014 21:19

Fluffy I can't see the Tesco deal on checkoutsmart, I downloaded the app and registered. Any suggestions?

Thanks

CecyHall · 17/06/2014 21:22

Just came to say the same as audit!

The birds eye offer looks good though.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/06/2014 21:45

Oh no, sorry. Haven't got the birds eye offer anymore.

Maybe it'll come up on yours in a few weeks.

Photo, I'm not imagining it. Sorry everyone.

Spring-I've tried it and it's no different in my unsophisticated palates opinion. I've used arborio rice for rice pudding, so I figured I'd stick to the cheaper rice.

LSD today £9 in Sainsbury on cereal, fruit, kitchen roll and crisps and £1 in toddler group.

Have to fork out £16 for a school trip tomorrow gulp DS1 will be going to a science museum but it'll be the furthest away he's been from me and I am a total protective wimp. He OTOH, is really excited as he has the science bug.

CremeEggThief · 17/06/2014 22:17

£6.20 on travel, £3 on flowers from Lidl and £3.90 on a chippy tea, to celebrate my new temporary job! :)

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/06/2014 06:57

What's the new job creme?

NSD yesterday (had a back appt with Alex technique man but it was pre-paid), hoping it will be today too.

FantaSea · 18/06/2014 09:25

east sorry about your sickness and hope it passes soon Flowers

Pink I understand what you mean - I always worried about trips, but he will be fine and have the best time. The science museum is brilliant, he will love it, there are lots of hands-on things for the kids to do and he will come back bursting to tell you all of it Smile

Hoping for a LSD today - DD has yet another exam (when will it ever end, number 14 today) and so I will find myself once again in the giant Tesco having a browse. At least once the exams are over, I will be away from the supermarket for a bit, but I will miss it as our local one is nothing like it.

Passthecake30 · 18/06/2014 09:34

De lurking a bit, finding frugalness hard when we are mid extension and paying for skips, plastering, not even the big stuff like a kitchen yet!

Now the weather is better I've cut down on the weekend eating out - its only really something to do ifykwim. So its parks and a bbq at home

auditangel are we neighbours? You just mentioned Hertford, I'm in ware.

Passthecake30 · 18/06/2014 09:38

Just loading the checkoutsmart app...I have a £4 off £40 spend in tescos, so if I can get the tenner too that would be fab. Dunno where the food is disappearing. ...though people are commenting on the height of mu kids so it must be their hollow legs? ?!

HayDayQueen · 18/06/2014 09:45

How do you use the checkoutsmart app? Do you print the voucher? Cause I can't print from my phone or IPad.

CremeEggThief · 18/06/2014 09:57

Early Years T.A., Fluffy. I'm actually a primary teacher, but for lots of reasons, I don't want a teaching job for at least the next couple of years, so I've been looking for a fulltime T..A. job for ages.:)
