ilove have a good time!

Well I can honestly say I can tell no difference between aldi rum and coconut and Malibu. Takes me back to being 15 18 again Grin

Would definitely recommend it.

AdoraBell · 22/03/2014 02:07

Quick update while I sip my vino, already in the cupboard so didn't cost me anything Wink

What did cost was £3 on snack for hockey Tomorrow
£1.50 on a capuccino between shopping and school run
£13 on petróleo

Then DH bought dinner, treat as I had To drag DDs into town, after playing hockey úntil 6, To collect him as he left the gas guzzler back at the dealership, still trying To sell it.

Dinner -£40 with left overs brought home
Hockey shoes for DDs -£60 for both. Could have done without that, last year hockey was at the end of the yearHmm

Potbelly my DH doesn't do socks with sándals but he does do baggy pollo shirts with shorts and sándals. In a country where men don't wear shorts. It's embarrasing and he doesn't careShock

AdoraBell · 22/03/2014 02:09

Bloody autocorrect

Pollo = Chicken

DH wears polo shirts. Not chicken shirts. Grin

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 22/03/2014 07:22

I love your autocorrects. I put an accent on when I read them!

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2014 07:55

I'm going to have to buy the fake Malibu now.

NSD yesterday but only because I have a horrible cough so didn't go out. I will need to get a few bits today, dh has a friend coming for lunch.

Topcashback are doing a good deal for new users of ASDA home delivery. I think it's £10.50. It's no use for me as I have used it before.

I made the tea loaf on the Frugal Queen website (can't link) it was so easy and quite frugal dh was impressed. I also made a Thai curry using bits of vegetables that were getting to the end of their life. I was a bit worried that I would be wasting a tin of coconut milk but dh claimed it was my best curry yet.

Wishing all fellow frugaleers a bargainous weekend.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2014 09:45

£25 on a compost bin with base etc.

Have you tried using coconut cream in a block to make coconut milk? You mix it with hot water. I keep ours in a plastic tub in the fridge.

fluffy We have a compost bin but it takes about a year for it to turn from potato peelings into actual soil, so we have paid out about £40 in compost this year, shouldn't have to do that again though! We started ours in about August I think.

We're lucky that the allotment has really good soil, as long as we crop rotate we shouldn't need to add much there at all.

Spendy few days, had eyebrows, lip and chin threaded (I don't have an actual beard just very fluffy baby-fluff stuff which I hate!) and hair dyed face cream ran out and had to replace it, so on hair/beauty have spent about £80 in total, all budgeted for but still. Also paid out about £20 in chocolate and buns etc for most of my classes in school.

Spent £3 in a charity shop on a red top for a specific thing at school but then donated it back to the charity shop after the party so counting that as a £3 charity donation rather than as actual spending.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/03/2014 11:46

£70.08 ocado food shop. I haven't done very well though I think I will be topping up with my own money Hmm

AuditAngel · 22/03/2014 13:13

Went out today to buy DD1 a birthday present as she finally found something she wanted. That was £15. She already has (or will on Thursday) a new dress, knitted slippers (£2 in the sale) an App Store voucher I had squirreled away still from Christmas and some hair bands and clips.

While out I spent £15 in the pound shop, for a pot of cotton buds (I only like the Johnson's ones) a couple of bottles of mouthwash (small one for holiday next month) a treat pack of breakfast cereal for the DC, some sweets for DD1's party pass the parcel and some chocolate biscuits that I forgot from the Tesco shop.

I also spent £1.80 on new buttons for DD1's school cardigan (cheaper than £16.50 for a new cardigan) plus I paid a £1 for a value pack of buttons just for my sewing box in case......

90p for a new notebook for my new job, plus £1 for lollies also for the pass the parcel. The DC will deal with any leftovers!

I also went into Clark's to look for a new pair of ballet pumps as the gold coating is really coming off last years and I wanted to check the similar new ones wouldn't do the same and the fantastic manager in the shop is going to refund me for the old ones when they have ordered me in the right size next week, so I saved £20. I wasn't even complaining, just checking it wouldn't happen again! Great customer service.

AuditAngel · 22/03/2014 13:27

I forgot £1.80 for parking, but the delivery charge for DD's present was £2.99 anyway.

Grin I'll have some of your sticky toffee pudding!

This is a tight week for us as ds has his operation Friday and it's over an hours drive away (motorway) so will cost lots in petrol and parking....

Jinty64 · 22/03/2014 15:10

fluffy I haven't tried the coconut cream in a block but I make Thai curry at least once a fortnight so it would probably save me money. Does it taste the same?

ohhelp I would be very upset about the bear too. Did you have words?

£71.51 in Tesco. Shit. How did that happen? And I haven't even bought the placemats I went for.

insideleg · 22/03/2014 15:13

Hello all, hope you are having a nice weekend. Was determined to have a NSD but have spent 34 pounds in John Lewis on sewing supplies. Luckily I had a 30 voucher so got supplies and DH birthday present and spent only 4.
Have not downloaded YNAB yet, little worried about the cost.
Baking cakes and flapjacks to save more money.

Not been careful for very long but it's quite exhausting! I am constantly logging in to bank account and checking finances.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2014 15:21

jinty read this link www.waitrose.com/content/waitrose/en/home/recipes/food_glossary/coconut.html#.Uy2p68sgGSM There's instructions about halfway down.

£5 on tomato plants and soil etc. £5 on bits for dc1 school project. We got caught in the rain/hailstones and I'm coming down with a cold so feeling sorry for myself. I've got chocolate in the cupboard that a relative bought for dcs but they don't know about it.......

oh help my mil is like that. She wouldn't for a second think about why the tag hadn't already been cut off. She used to buy clothes for dc but cut tags off so if they were the wrong size or not suitable we were stuck with them, very strange.

Aiming for a nsd tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

AdoraBell · 22/03/2014 19:32

Shock cut the ear tag off a Stieff!

I used to collect those when I was still working, I would be extremley unhappy.

So, DD2's hockey shoes we bought yesterday weren't a perfect fit and I didn't know that DH had told her we'd buy those then look again today and I would take the first ones back if we found a better fit. Of course DH didn't take into account the standard refund policy here, they'll exchange them. So, another £35 todayAngry.

Still need dog food. Am currently spending money dying my phone so will catch up later.

AdoraBell · 22/03/2014 19:33

Using my phone.

CremeEggThief · 22/03/2014 19:46

What a pain about the Steiff bear! :(.

£2.99 in Tesco, on teabags, litter tray liners and chocolate.
