No Cadbury we're near the capitol, sorry. And I dropped out of the expat groups when DDs started school, it became impossible to get to meetings and pick up DDs.

Does she know about MN? I've seen a couple of people post in Living Overseas who talk about living here. Maybe you could ask in there if anyone is in Valparaiso?

potbellyroast · 21/03/2014 13:36

Thanks cadbury. I'll keep an eye out for it but I can't face being without it so I may need to pay full price. It will pay for itself in the long run I think.

CoolCadbury · 21/03/2014 13:50

adora oh thanks for that! I may post on the overseas section. Tbh, I doubt that she would be on the expat circuit as she married a Chilean and had (has?) a pretty hippy lifestyle. Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 21/03/2014 14:18

Topcashback should go to pending within seven days. If it doesn't you need to raise a claim.

£2.99 on lunch
£1.60 hospital car park

Ellisisland · 21/03/2014 14:47

Thanks Spotty Smile

Iamnotanugget · 21/03/2014 14:48

£110 Tesco delivery and a few pounds for Sport relief. I haven't posted for a few days as all I seem to be doing is spending! It's all essential stuff but the rest of the month is going to be very tight if I'm to hit saving target. It's important that I do put money aside as we've some big expenitures coming up and no other way to fund them.

Dc1 wants to 'grow stuff' part of me thinks that it'll just die so falls into 'non essential' spends but then I feel bad as she's only young and I should encourage this. I may set a £5 limit and head to poundland.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/03/2014 15:23

£35 in aldi but £3.50 was non food
£3.50 sainsbos sausages (so two weeks supply)

£4 on cat litter

£10 on petrol.

nugget Do a bit of research about germination times before you buy seeds, some of my herbs took 2-3 weeks to germinate which, lets be honest, is boring for a child. Pound shops usually do little kits for growing sunflowers etc. much easier and if she loses interest you've not spent a lot on it.

Doing ok on the spending front, also trying to declutter house so have had to buy a few little bits but nothing major - then wham fallen arch so €50 for physio today & €15 for insoles & another €50 for physio next Wednesday plus washing machine has decided to give trouble hoping service man can sort that, cheaply with a bit of luck.

Bought new cloth nappies but sold others so it balanced out

CremeEggThief · 21/03/2014 16:26

£1 for DS' s Sport Relief donation.

Hope everyone has a good weekend :).

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 21/03/2014 16:26

Also Google free seeds we have had some random ones in post where I have signed up in past n doesn't matter if nothing comes of them

Passthecake30 · 21/03/2014 16:27

Spendy day.....asda delivery £61 and popped to tescos for couple of bits I'd forgotten and baileys 1L is down from £18 to £13 Smile. Got 2, and other bits - £39, and £11 on hay fever meds

Yesterday had a haul in clarks outlet shop for the kids saved £30ish spent £62

insideleg · 21/03/2014 16:33

Spent 12 pounds today on coffee and cake out, can I ask, when you have a NSD do you have to spent nothing at all, or nothing outside of your budget? I didn't spend anything on Tues but got a grocery delivery, is that a NSD? Sorry to sound daft

potbellyroast · 21/03/2014 16:38

insideleg I'd say tuesday was NSD for you as the grocery delivery was planned? Maybe other's will know better.

Spendy day is spending £5 on MacDonald's and £4.99 on Aldi's Rum and Coconut Liqueur which of course I didn't do. Blush it had better be just like malibu now

SpottyTeacakes · 21/03/2014 16:40

I do a nsd as spending nothing at all (bar direct debits) so include food and petrol etc

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/03/2014 16:40

I count NSD as ones I don't spend money but dd or so can still go out.

I need to know what the aldi rum & coconut is like.

OP posts:
insideleg · 21/03/2014 16:47

I see, thank you. It seems it is different for some people. I think i will class it as nothing at all. NSD on Mon and Wed this week.
That liquer sounds nice! We are adding tonic to our wine to make it last longer, bit gutted really!

AuditAngel · 21/03/2014 18:43

£10 on a pub lunch. I could make excuses that it was a team building thing, but we planned it earlier in the week and we had vouchers to get the food half price.

Going to go out tomorrow to try to get buttons to fix DD1's school cardigan rather than buying a new one. Not sure how 4 buttons can come off (and lose 2 of them) in a couple of weeks. It's like it is self destructing Grin

magicalmrmistoffelees · 21/03/2014 18:52

Nearly an NSD for me today, only spent £1 to get over the Clifton suspension bridge and back!

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 21/03/2014 19:04

Was a no spend day till we drove to the garage to pick up dh's car which has failed its MOT with over £2000 of repairs needed till it passes.its only 3 years old. They have offered him the option of trading it in against a new one instead. Convenient for the dealership Little Miss Sceptical here thinks but as he had intended to get a new car he'll probably do it, he just hadn't wanted to stay with that particular make of car. The dds and I made the most of the free juice, coffee and biscuits in a cheap shot at revenge. I also speed read Tatler, Elle and Country Living in the customer lounge so I reckon we got £20 of free stuff out of them.

Picked up a Chinese and a case of beer on the way home- needs must.

NK5BM3 · 21/03/2014 19:04

NSD! Surprise!! Have a good weekend!

potbellyroast · 21/03/2014 19:14

I'll let you all know what the rum and coconut is like when I've had some. Got some pineapple to go with it and the ice cubes are freezing as we speak (would normally have bought a bag without thinking as it is 'only' £1).

Can't have any until I've collected 2DS from cinema at about 10pm so won't be much drinking time left by the time I get home.

DD came home with more than half her money left with receipts in hand waiting to put them into YNAB. Hopefully she's converted.

Can't figure out the split categories when you enter a transaction. I add them but can't seem to end the split transaction and it just appears to be waiting to put another split in Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/03/2014 19:23
